About: We’re Layla and Gracie, a sister team who work together to care for your pets like they’re our own. With over 10 years of pet sitting experience, we’ve had the joy of caring for all kinds of animals including dogs, cats, small pets, chickens, goats, and even donkeys. We take the time to understand each animal’s personality and routine, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-loved while you’re away. Pet sitting fits naturally into our daily routine, which allows us to offer flexible and consistent care. I am a full-time online veterinary technician student, and my sister Gracie is volunteering regularly at a local animal shelter with the goal of becoming a veterinary assistant. Because of our availability, you’ll be able to depend on us for walks, check-ins, and overnight care every day of the week. Your pets will always have priority in our schedules and routines! When caring for pets in our clients’ homes, we do our best to keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible. We follow all feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific instructions (medications, diets, etc.) to make sure your pet feels comfortable and stress-free when they’re without you. We spend quality time with each pet based on their needs—whether that’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. We’re happy to provide updates, photos, and communication so you can feel confident that your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Marsha was amazing. Her photos and comments after each check-in gave me so much reassurance while I was away. I would not hesitate to put my cat in her capable and wonderful hands again. I am so thankful.”

“I booked Susan at the last minute for a drop in visit for my two labs while we had a long day out of town. This was our first time using her, and considering we’d never met and I have a husband who is nervous about having people in our house we don’t know, it was a relief that everything went perfectly! She followed instructions to the T, sent a couple of pictures and we felt very comfortable with her. We will use Susan again!”

About: Growing up in the country, I have grown up with all sorts of animals (dogs, cat, rabbit, cows, longhorns). However, dogs have been the animal with me throughout my entire life. We got our first family dog when I was 6 and have had 3-10 dogs at a time since then! Needless to say, I'm definitely a dog person. I have experience feeding, walking, and washing dogs, and can do some basic self-taught training (sitting, down, shake). I also have house-sat and pet-sit for some family friends' and my friends' parents on several occasions. My house is full of animal love. I have a 3-year-old Plott hound mix (named Nova), a 4-year-old German Shepard (named Goose), and a 8 month old cat (named Ary). They all have their own special quirks, but are so funny and love running and playing! Nova is very food motivated and loves to run in circles and play in water, Goose is very toy motivated and could play frisbee for hours without a break if we let him, and Ary is the definition of a "lap cat" but loves being our pest control when she see an bug. I hope you give me the chance to give your fur babies some extra love and attention! I'm a full-time social worker! I can provide overnight visits whenever, but walking and drop-ins are only available on weekends and then during school scheduled breaks (my availability will reflect it)! In my home, one of my dogs is crated due to her liking to get in the trash. So, I am easily able to crate your dog if necessary and of course feed, water, play, and walk them as needed! Also, more than willing to send you pictures of your dogs throughout the visit if that's something you want :)
About: I have had dogs ever since I was a child and raised two dogs from small puppies until they died at the ripe age of 14 years. I have 14 years of experience taking care of dogs. During the weekdays I work as a teacher at the local high school, so I am unavailable during the day until about 4:30 PM. In the evenings I can walk your dog, go to your home to check up on your dog, and over the weekends I can dig sit for you if it's needed. I live in a building that does not allow pets, so you can't leave your pet at my house to be watched unfortunately. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies. I work as a high school teacher during weekdays but am available in the evenings and weekends. Normally I'm out of school by about 4:30pm. Please ask me about taking care of your dog during holidays. I'm often free to care or your pet full time then. I'm very attentive to how dogs communicate, and do not let them out of my sight when walking or dog siting them. I follow owner instructions such as what time a dog needs his medications exactly.
“Very great caregiver! Andrea was very responsive and she took great care of my dogs. She took awesome photos and kept me up to date every step of the way. Ill definitely be rehiring her again!”

I prioritize pet care and love to make sure the doggos get plenty of exercise and stay healthy! Give me the cat food recipe and I'll mix it. I leave everything as I found it when pet sitting in house and ensure that your fur babies have a safe and fun time! “Stacey was excellent in every aspect during her drop in visits with our three dogs and cats. She kept a very close eye on a skin irritation that had developed on one our dogs and she updated us with pics daily. She was truly concerned with the health of our pets. We could not recommend her more. She is fantastic.”

“Christine is excellent! What I like about her is she communicates well and clearly follows every instruction you ask her. Paris our cat was well taken care of. She was on time and updated if she's on her way and once she finished the drop-in. Definitely a trusted sitter! I will highly recommend her. Thank you so much Christine! :)”

“Michelle is beyond amazing! She came through last minute to assist with my pets! I felt very comfortable with her and she assured me that everything would be fine. I would definitely use her services again!”

“Kaleigh was great with my dogs while I was away for the holidays! Check ins let me know everything was going good and she provided plenty of notes and photos as well. About: I I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels. “Alexis has totally put me at ease taking care of my two pups. They both have some quirks (anxiety and no concept of personal space) and meeting with her and seeing her intuitive nature, ability to read their body language, and strong communication + positive attitude gave me a lot of confidence in having her in my home with my boys. She sends lots of pictures and provides a full update - so happy to have her at home when we can't be there!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Smithville
Brooklyn is FANTASTIC! My dogs immediately fell in love with her. And my pit mix, Dash, who usually gives everybody a hard time (at least for a few minutes), was immediately jumping for joy around her. I think Brooklyn has some sort of magic running through her veins. I feel as if the dogs and I have hit the lottery with this great young lady. Thank you, Brooklyn, for being the awesome person you are.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
