“Not enough adjectives to describe Boyd's vacationat Kyle's!! . Kyle is energetic, warm, enthusiastic about what he does and welcomed us heartily. He had absolutely everything my boy loves: wide open spaces ti run, a large pool and smaller plastic one and always other pups to play endlessly with! Boyd paired up with one of Kyle's pups who matched his energy level and large size and they literally played until they both collapsed! Kyle sent many snapshots that captured Boyd playing and sleeping ( next to his fave pal!) Kyle was perfectly flexible when pickup time was a bit late due to traffic from the airport. I will most definitely be calling Kyle again in the future!!!”

“Carmen took such good care of our dogs and we felt comfortable knowing they were in the care of a very sweet and loving person. She was so excited to see them when we dropped them off which made us feel good. She sent pictures of our dogs relaxing and getting along with her dog. She also was very diligent about giving Kikka her medicine and eye drops which is so important and very much appreciated. Thank you Carmen! We will reach out again with future needs!”

“Jennifer was great, she was very responsive when we first reached out, during our dogs stay she provided daily updates and pictures. She was also flexible during drop off and pick up. We will use her again soon!”

“Daniela is such a greater person with dogs! she took care of my Mia for a week after getting spayed. Even though Mia is not trained, Daniela had the patience and the ability to take care of her. She was there for Mia 24/7 since she needed extra care. I definitely recommend her!”

“This was our first time leaving our dogs with a rover sitter, and we are super glad we went with Justin! He did a great job making our fur babies comfortable while we were away, we will definitely be using him again for our future sitting needs!”

“Ronald watched our dog jack while we were out of town and provided excellent service and communication. Jack is older and had been coming off an illness so we were worried about leaving him but we were given much comfort with the care provided! We would recommend Ronald to anyone in the area!”

“Lindsey was terrific! She gave frequent updates with pictures. She also has a corgi named Zoe that is extremely cute! We are glad Biscuit has a corgi friend now. Lindsey is also very thoughtful and fed Biscuit throughout his stay, also letting him use Zoe’s crate. I would definitely book again and recommend Lindsey to anyone else looking for boarding services!”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, have fostered both and been a cat owner. I have also helped friends and acquaintances with their pets while they are away. My experience includes walking dogs, scooping 💩, changing litter boxes, providing food and play to pets, and completing general house sitting tasks. I have also administered eye medications to kittens before and allergy meds to dogs. I have also lived on a couple of farms and helped take care of horses, goats, chickens, and even a rabbit. I would love to take care of your pet and offer you the peace of mind to know I will love on and care for them as if they were my own :) I’m self-employed, so I have plenty of time available to care for your pets. Specifically, I am a Certified Public Accountant who quit her consulting job to become a part-time farmer! I am currently operating my own micro-farm growing organic vegetables and flowers in South Austin which allows my schedule to be very flexible. I am available for boarding, house-sitting, pet walking and drop-in visits to feed and play with cats and dogs (and other animals on a case by case basis). I am happy to visit and care for a variety of pets by feeding and playing with them as well as helping with any household tasks including plant watering, checking the mail and throwing out trash/recycling. I am currently living in a tiny home on my own on a large plot of land with plenty of access to unfenced outdoor space if you are interested in boarding your pets. I am also very happy to come to your home for drop-in visits and/or to stay overnight if you and your pets would be more comfortable with that option. For dogs, I am happy to spend time indoors with them playing with toys and giving them good belly scratches as well as take them outdoors either into the backyard and/or on walks. I have experience both with big dogs including a German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees lab mix, Australian Shepherds, and shelter dogs as well as smaller dogs including a Teacup Pomeranian and an Iggie. I’m very active, so if your dog has a lot of energy and likes to go on runs, I am happy to run with them as well. For cats, I am happy to match their energy levels - if they are playful and energetic, I engage with them and encourage play. If they prefer to sleep or rest or are more shy, I am happy to just be around and pet them/brush them if they would like or just give them space. I am happy to care for other pets if requested and I am comfortable with the care instructions. I have previously cared for a tortoise, which mainly consisted of feeding him and giving him water.

“Bailey K - Very attentive and caring. Kept us informed and send numerous pics of KC playing with her pets. We will rebook with Bailey K when we’re in need of an overnight stay or two! Thanks,”

“We used Kat to board our 4 month old puppy! She is amazing!!!! He came back better behaved then we left him and you could tell he had a blast with her dogs, which the positive socialization really acted as a huge bonus. Thanks Kat for being on call for us, so flexible and providing the best care for our little family member. It was so nice to leave him for a week and not worry!”

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
