About: Please note: our beloved golden retriever, Charlie, has been diagnosed with a heart tumor and pulmonary hypertension. We are on a hiatus from dog sitting for this period of time while we care for him and give him all the love we can for the time we have left with him. We will update our calendar as we’re able, and look forward to a return to sitting when it is appropriate. Thank you for understanding. We are a dog loving family with experience from puppyhood to senior care. We’ve raised dogs from breeders and we’ve fostered/rescued. One of our beloved pups had a severe genetic heart disease, so we’ve dealt with medical conditions and the accompanying drugs and modified care they require. Through all of our canine experiences, we’ve learned that dogs thrive with consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of love and affection. Our two retrievers are a huge part of our family, and we look forward to your pup falling in with our routines like he/she is one of our own. I work from home Monday-Friday. Your dog(s) would spend their weekdays joining our two dogs either curled up at my feet or playing in our fenced-in backyard. On weekends and evenings they’ll enjoy the extra company of our dog-loving teenagers, who will spoil them rotten with walks, playtime, and lots of attention! We have a big, fenced in yard so the dogs will get plenty of outdoor time. For the most part, your dog(s) will have free rein to be with our family and our dogs doing whatever we’re doing — but we do have several crates and portable fences that we can use as needed to provide separation and quiet time. We want your dog to be comfortable and happy in our home, so we’ll work closely with you before your visit to make sure we understand his/her habits and routines!

“Hayley took great care of our cat while we were away. Our cat hides when someone she doesn’t know well comes over, but Haley still did her best to comfort her without causing too much stress and rolled treats to her under the bed. Hayley is great at communicating and gave detailed feedback each day about how much our cat was eating, etc. She is compassionate and reliable. I highly recommend this wonderful, kind sitter.”

About: As a lifelong dog owner and enthusiast, I understand the care and attention our furry friends need. Currently, I have two wonderful but lively companions—Frankie, an energetic 4-year-old, 85-pound German Shorthaired Pointer mix, and Skyler, a spirited 1.5 year-old Dalmatian. Together, we enjoy daily walks and plenty of playtime in the yard. Life can get busy, and I know how challenging it can be to ensure your dogs get the outdoor time they deserve. That’s where I come in. Whether you have a large breed, a small pup, a mixed breed, or a purebred, I have experience working with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Let me help keep your pets happy, healthy, and active—even when your schedule gets hectic! I currently have a full time job, but can drop in and/or walk your pup between 3:00 and 7:00pm on weekdays (Mon - Fri). Weekends are more open and flexible. I understand how important it is to maintain your dog’s routine and ensure they feel comfortable and cared for in your absence. Using the detailed information you provide, I will follow your dog’s established schedule for meals, water, and overall care. Beyond meeting their basic needs, I’ll also provide safe playtime or walks as needed. I prefer positive reinforcement as it creates a trusting and enjoyable relationship.

About: Hey, I’m Lucas! I’m from South Kingstown, RI, and I’ve been around animals my whole life. Right now, I live with two dogs, two cats, guinea pigs, and even some reptiles, so I’m pretty used to taking care of a variety of pets. Currently, I’m a full-time security guard supervisor and a full-time student at URI. While my schedule is busy, Rover allows me to combine my love for animals with the flexibility I need to support myself through college. I’m here to do what I love: care for pets, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s walking dogs, playing with cats, or just making sure your pet is comfortable while you’re away, I’m here to help. I’ve had pets all my life, so I understand how important it is for them to get attention and care. I’d love to meet your furry (or scaly) friends and make sure they’re happy while you’re out! I am a full time security guard and student at URI but I can house/pet sit any night from 8pm-8am. I am also happy to do stop ins, and walks in the mornings. I am very experienced with a lot of animals, and all at once. If you need someone who genuinely cares about your babies I’m your guy!!

About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown. I have raised and taken care of cats, dogs (from puppies to senior pets), and guinea pigs as well. I am currently a college student, so when I am not in class I will be able to watch and take care of your pets, and can house sit on weekends if needed. when I am house sitting, I care for your pet as if they are my own, and any household rules will be followed as if you never left.
