About: What sets me apart is my genuine love and lifelong experience with animals. I grew up in a pet-friendly home where caring for animals was part of everyday life, so I understand the patience, attention, and compassion they need. I’ve also sheltered and cared for pets until they were ready to find their forever homes, giving me experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and needs. I currently work part-time so I have a lot of time and space for pet sitting! I’m available throughout the week & weekends as well. About: I am now retired and have total availability. For walks or drop ins I need to keep my service area within 5-7 miles. For longer stays I am willing to expand my area upon request. I began my pet care as a child, taking home every stray dog I saw. Nursing sheep, stray cats, bunnies, you name it. I was then a vet tech, rescue foster, and sitter. As my life has changed my love for, and enjoyment of caring for pets has not. I bond well with animals, and have the experience to know when firmness is required. I will always care for your animal as i would my own. ( spoiled ) I have a good availability and experience with all ages of pets. Including training to elderly animals who need special care. I am comfortable administering meds, and dealing with unique or special circumstances. Finally, I am reliable. You can rest assured that your baby will be well cared for. when I house sit I will keep your place clean daily. If you desire addition plant care or whatever, just ask. I am retired. This gives me great availability to care for your pet. I can adjust my schedule to fit your needs. At times I prefer overnights at your place so as to not disturb my husband. I have a fenced yard. At your home or mine we get plenty of potty breaks, walks, and play. I only leave the house to go to the store or appts.

I previously worked full time as a Veterinary Assistant at MedVet in New Orleans, so I have knowledge of more extensive animal care and can provide care for animals with special needs. • I offer drop in visits and dog walking, and occasionally boarding as well. • If Im visiting your home for drop in visits or walks, I offer 30 or 60 minute dog walks depending on you and your dogs preference, (longer walks are available upon request), as well as playtime, feeding and watering all pets, cleaning litter boxes, watering plants, and bringing in mail! If you’d like grooming services I can provide that as well, such as: brushing, bathing, or nail trims. • I have for dogs: toys, treats, extra leashes, 4 water stations, a BIG secure yard, puppy pads, 1 large crate if needed for bedtime, spare beds, and grooming supplies. 🐕 • I have for cats: cat tower, multiple scratching posts, toys, 5 litter boxes stationed around the house, 1 water fountain and spare bowls, treats, spare beds, and crates for transportation. 🐈‍⬛ I can pick up or drop off your pet if that would work better with your schedule. I have crates and doggy seatbelts for safe transportation. I love going on long walks and it would be so much fun if your pup would join me! I am dedicated to pet care excellence and want nothing more than to make your pet happy :) I often go to dog friendly parks in the Midcity/ Bywater area. There's also some trails that I love to walk my own dogs on, such as Wisner Tract Park. We can also go to local dog parks as long as your pet is vaccinated. I’ve always had a mutual connection with them and cared for them like my own children. About: I have welcomed dogs into my family for the past 25 years living in New Orleans, and have loved caring for them as they have certainly cared for me too! I work from home most days of the week and am rarely gone for more than a few hours for in-person meetings. I provide lots of walks along the greenway and time in my fenced yard too. I have toys for stimulation such as puzzles and can play hide and seek with toys, treats, and me! I am happy to continue implementing your schedule and use your key words and phrases to maintain training while your pup is with me. I also enjoy taking my dog Conor to City Bark where he plays with other dogs and gets a nice bath. I am happy to bring your dog there too if they are able to go. I work from home and occasionally take meetings out of my house. Those usually are not more than a few hours. Once a week I go into my office from 8-4 but come home at lunch to walk my dog Conor. I have three boys that are in school who live with me every other week. I do a school drop off and pick up every other week for one of them around 7:15 am and again around 3:00 pm. I keep my dog on a predictable schedule of feeding and walks and provide toys for stimulation. I always keep fresh water available both inside and outside so that they are not dehydrated. I am divorced and have my sons every other week. They are in middle and high school and are confident and comfortable around dogs. However, your dog will be cared for by me. Although they will likely want to play with your dog too!

“To say we were satisfied with the care Alyssa gave our little Max would be an understatement. We were camping in New Orleans and had events happening that would take us away from our motorhome for over 9 hours for a few days and did not think it wise to leave our small dog alone for so long so we needed to think of something. So for the first time we turned to the ROVER app. As this would be the first time we left our boy with a stranger we were very concerned but We had a meet and greet ahead of the actual dog sitting and it went so well …. we felt at ease right away with Alyssa and her own dog. Our Max and Alyssa’s Oliver hit it off right away … she is a wonderful person full of love, caring and is extremely pleasant. The second day we went to drop Max off he actually pulled me to her door and sat there waiting for her to open the door and when she did open the door he ran in as if he was home already. This experience was so wonderful. We are certain a big part of that has to do with how nice a person Alyssa is. Sending pictures throughout the days was an added bonus for us!
