âWe have been taking our puppy to daycare with Sawsan nearly every week for the past three months, and he is so happy there. Unlike many sitters, Sawsan operates as a full time business and gives all of her focus and attention to the dogs. We are so sad to have moved from the neighborhood, and are yet to find anyone even close to this level of care!â
About: Iâve had my family dog, Princess, a Pomeranian-Papillon mix, since I was four years old. I was the one who named her, and sheâs been my best friend ever since. Iâve cared for her through every stage of her life, from a playful puppy to now as a senior dog, so I understand that pets have different needs as they get older. Senior pets have a special place in my heart, and Iâm always happy to give them the extra patience and love they deserve. Iâm a college student home for the summer, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve. I usually only take one familyâs pet(s) at a time (unless otherwise arranged), so theyâll get lots of one-on-one care and wonât have to compete for attention. Iâll stick to your petâs normal routine as closely as possible, and I ask that owners provide their petâs food, medications (if needed), favorite toys, and any other essentials. If Iâm caring for a cat, Iâll also need their litter box, litter, and other supplies. Communication is really important to me. Iâll send plenty of pictures and updates, and if youâre missing your pet, Iâm even happy to FaceTime so you can check in. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while youâre apart. Iâm currently a college student home for the summer, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to your pet. Whether itâs walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, Iâll make sure they get lots of attention throughout the day. I usually only care for one familyâs pet(s) at a time (unless otherwise arranged), so I can focus on giving them the care and attention they deserve while sticking to their normal routine as closely as possible. Your petâs safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and I share my home with my senior dog, Princess. Sheâs older, independent, and usually keeps to herself, but Iâll always make thoughtful introductions and make sure everyone is comfortable. I only accept one familyâs pet(s) at a time (unless otherwise arranged), so I can give them my full attention and closely monitor their interactions. Iâll carefully follow your petâs routine, including feeding, walks, medications, potty breaks, and any special instructions. Iâll keep your home tidy if Iâm caring for your pet there, and Iâll always make sure water is fresh, the environment is clean, and your pet feels safe and comfortable. If I ever notice anything unusual, Iâll let you know right away so you can have peace of mind.

About: Iâve been very hands on with dogs for years, including raising and caring for my own pitbull, so Iâm comfortable with all breeds and sizes especially larger, high energy dogs. Iâm patient, attentive, and good at reading a dogâs personality and body language. I can also help reinforce basic habits like potty routines, leash manners, and calm behavior for younger dogs. I treat pets like theyâre my own and focus on making them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for instead of just âwatchingâ them. I pay close attention to each dogâs personality and adjust to what they need, whether thatâs extra playtime, reassurance, structure, or space. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they always know how their pet is doing. I plan my days around feeding times, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and making sure pets get plenty of attention throughout the day. Iâm consistent with routines and make sure pets are supervised and comfortable. I provide a calm, safe, and stress-free environment where pets can relax and feel at home. I have a fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and always supervise pets during walks, playtime, and interactions with other dogs. I also have a smart camera in my home so I can keep an eye on pets if I step out briefly. For added safety and comfort, pets can be kenneled if needed or preferred by the owner.
âAmber was truly the best person to leave my sweet puppy with for the day! She kept me updated through text with pictures and videos throughout his entire stay, she invited me in when we arrived to give me the assurance of knowing where he would be for the day. Her home was very clean, tidy, and she was inviting to make me more comfortable. My anxiety about leaving him for the day was immediately relieved. Do not hesitate to let her care for your pets!!â

âLindsey is awesome. She gave me lots of pics & updated me without me having to ask. I have a bulldog & was worried about humidity but she paid attention to detail & took amazing care of him. I felt great having him in her hands & I found myself relaxed that I knew he was in good hands. He also came home with a little dog report card. Highly recommend!â

About: Iâve been a dog and cat lover for as long as I can remember and understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet. My goal is to make your furry family member feel safe, comfortable, and loved while youâre away. I live on a spacious half-acre lot in a quiet neighborhood, giving dogs plenty of room to run, explore, and play. My home features a large doggy door, so your pup can easily go outside whenever they want. Whether your dog enjoys playtime, belly rubs, or simply lounging around, theyâll receive plenty of attention and care throughout their stay. I share my home with Jake, my friendly yellow Labrador Retriever. Heâs very laid-back, loves other animals, and is happy to welcome new friends. To provide a calm, personalized experience, I only accept one client family at a time. This means your pet wonât have to adjust to a house full of unfamiliar dogs and will receive my full attention. For everyoneâs safety, I have young children in the home and can only accept dogs that are friendly and non-aggressive around people and other animals (no pitbulls or pitbull mixes). I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I am home most of the week. I also have two kids that are animal lovers. Iâm able to adjust to whatever routine your pet is used to. My kids have learned to respect animalsâ boundaries. Your pet will be enjoying the comforts of being inside or outside of the house and get lots of attention.
About: Iâve always had a love for animals. Iâve cared for my families dogs as a child, and my own dogs when I got older with the addition of my daughters dog. Iâve always had a mutual connection with them and cared for them like my own children. Iâm all about enriching the lives of pets and their families by providing excellent pet care, peace of mind, trust and security. Nurturing the inseparable bond between a person and their 'furbaby' by enriching their relationship with love. I have a pretty open availability schedule and will try to accommodate your requests to the best of my ability depending on timing and distance. I currently do not have any dogs at my house, so they can enjoy all my attention and playtime. I also have a nice backyard that they can play and run around in. When doing a dog service at the pets home I like to get familiar with them so they can feel comfortable and be their usual sweet selves!
âI was nervous to leave my quirky dogs with a stranger, but Tyler quickly put my pets and me at ease. He took the dogs on a walk early on, to make them feel at home. He has a large, secure backyard, that the dogs loved. He let the pets be part of his day and provided good feedback about the pups. Thanks Tyler!â

About: Patience and empathy are a major part of my approach to animals in general. I have realized that these beautiful creatures respond well to me because my love does not come with any strings. I have a Jack Russell Terrier named Kameha and a cat named Sushi. They are my world. Sushi's mother was a stray cat and not in good shape. I helped her heal and she ended having Sushi and several other kittens. Kameha was rescued from a bad home and she had worms as a puppy. Now she is full of life. My values include but are not limited to: safety, integrity, responsibility, respect, and dependability. I am entrepreneur and full time father and I am looking for supplemental income. Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
