About: I have lots of experience around all kinds and sizes of pets! I grew up with cats, dogs, and horses and have pet sit for families with multiple pets in the home. I worked at a wildlife rehabilitation center for multiple years so I have experience giving meds and caring for animals with special needs or health problems. I’d love the opportunity to set up a time to chat and see if I’d be a good fit for you and your pet(s)! I’m finishing up my last class at OU so I have a very flexible schedule and could be present for most of the day. I’m comfortable doing whatever is needed to keep your fur baby happy and healthy. I have experience taking multiple dogs on a walk, feeding on a schedule, letting them out, I can do it all!

Amber and her family have been amazing to work with! She was quick to respond to my initial request and was super professional. We booked her for 3 days and, even though my Doberman is nervous when first meeting people, Amber made sure my girl was comfortable. We even had an issue with scheduling and they were super flexible and understanding! Overall they were amazing and we will 100% be going back to them in the future!

Crystal was incredible with our boy! He can be kind of a handful, but she has such a way with animals and they were immediately best friends. She was so kind and playful with him and kept him great company. We will definitely be using her in the future and everyone else should too!

About: I’ve cared for pets for over 10 years and truly treat them like family. I’m great with playful puppies, gentle with seniors, and love giving every pet the attention, snuggles, and care they deserve! As an OU student, I keep a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to caring for pets. Pet care easily fits into my daily routine with walks/ playtime. As an OU student and lifelong animal lover, I make it a priority to create a safe, trusting, and loving environment for every pet I care for. I have a fenced yard that allows plenty of room for play and exercise, and I can easily crate your pet if needed for their comfort and safety. I understand that every animal has different needs, whether it’s extra patience, a little more playtime, or simply quiet companionship, and I adapt to make sure they feel at home. My goal is always to give your pet the same love and care they would receive from you!

Kristen was so sweet and left such a detailed report of her visit with my boys! I’ve never gotten so many pictures from a report before and I could tell how loved my boys felt during her visit. She was prompt, on time, and communicated well every step of the way. I will definitely have her look in on our boys again!

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life! I have had German Shepherds since I was a baby and especially love big dogs. I started dog walking and house sitting for my neighbour's in 2020, giving me experience with pets other than my own. I truly love animals and view them as important as children, and I would love to take care of yours! I’m currently a full-time college student with a flexible schedule. I’m available before and after classes on weekdays, and I have open availability on weekends. I’m committed to providing reliable, attentive care and will work with you to find times that fit your pet’s routine. I provide care in your pet’s familiar home environment, where they can stay comfortable and maintain their normal routine. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special care. I treat every home with respect, keep pet areas clean, and make sure your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I bring several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs in kennel and veterinary settings. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, behaviors, and personalities, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little more patience and attention. I also have experience caring for hospitalized dogs and those recovering from surgery, so I understand the importance of being attentive to changes in a dog’s behavior, comfort, and overall well-being. Working with so many different dogs has taught me how to read their behavior, respect their boundaries, and adjust my approach based on what makes them feel most comfortable. Every dog has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to get to know each one so I can provide the care and attention they need. I am currently a student at OU getting my BS in Biology. I am available Monday and Tuesday after 5:30 pm! I am completely available during the weekends! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to keep their routine and environment as familiar as possible. I carefully follow any instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, household rules, and any individual needs their pet may have. My animal care experience has taught me to be attentive to changes in behavior and body language, so I always keep an eye out for anything that seems unusual. I also understand the trust that comes with being welcomed into someone’s home and will always treat both your pet and your space with care and respect. I’m happy to provide updates and photos along the way so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Dogs are a man's best friend. Be it small, medium, or big dogs, they are every person's precious fur baby. I have taken care of my family's dogs for years as well as friends and neighbors. From Pugs to Great Danes, I have a wide variety of dogs I have cared for and loved. I currently work part time, so fitting in some time to play with and walk pets will be no problem for me. I am typically available after 3 PM, but please feel free to reach out if you are looking for a different time! Keeping pets loved and happy has always been a goal for me. I enjoy being active, so when animals have those bursts of energy I like to play it all off! However, if a pet is showing that they want space to themselves, that is okay. Whatever they need is what I am willing to provide.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Slaughterville. On Rover:

  • 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
