“Casey and Marwa are the most accommodating and caring dog sitters, we have ever had. They do their best to keep with the routines that Indiana knows and then add extra long walks, treats, brushing, playing, and lots of love. Their Pug Kevin is so cute and friendly. On top of that, they are super-flexible with drop off and pick up times and took Indy in on very short notice. Will definitely be back”

“Ms Olga was so nice. She sent videos/pics often. Bruno had a good time she even let him stay an extra day when my travel plans got disrupted. Can’t wait to have Bruno there again.”

“My 4 pound malti-poo stayed with Dorothy for 2 nights. I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. She sent pictures and was very calm and loving towards him. I highly recommend!”

“We are so grateful to have found such a great overnight stay for our dog Chestnut! Chestnut came back happy and tired from his weekend of walks, playtime and snuggles :) Thank you, Andrew, for taking such great care of him. We’ve already booked another stay!”

“Deanna is such a great dog sitter! She and her lovely family took such great care of Romee. Romee had walks, plenty of playtime—just a perfect situation. Knowing Deanna was taking care of Romee allowed me to truly relax and not worry a bit while I was out of town. I’ll be rebooking with Deanna! Absolutely recommend.”
“Mila took very good care of my dog over a long weekend. It was so nice not to have to worry and Mila send updates on how things were going. I definitely will have her watch my dog again.”

“Melissa was wonderful! We received great pictures and updates during our stay. Drop off and pick up was very easy. She was able to manage our large dog and small dog with ease! Our dogs enjoyed Melissa, their stay and playing with her two girls. We will definitely use Melissa again!”
“We are so happy with the great job Lauren did watching our Zoey! I received pictures and messages everyday which have us a high level of confidence that our pooch was in great hands! Thanks, Lauren!!”

“I am so lucky to have found Jeanne to take care of our sweet dog. She is seriously the closest thing to a Mary Poppins for dogs that exists. She provided consistent check-ins while we were away, and it was obvious that she cared for my dog as if it were one of her own. She (and her husband) are the nicest people, too! I really could not have had a better experience.”

“Another amazing stay with Danielle! This is the second time Coco has stayed with her for an extended visit, and once again, we couldn’t be happier. It truly feels like a doggy vacation paradise for her. We know she is so well cared for, and we’ll absolutely be back again.”

“Nicole is very nice, easy to work with. Her updates with pictures gave us peace of mind. She always quickly texted back. Our dog seemed like he had a good time. Thanks!”

About: Hello! I am a veterinary technician of 8 years and pet owner of 20+ years who is highly experienced in animal care and petsitting. As a cat, horse, and previous dog owner myself I understand that our pets are our family! I look forward to meeting your fur baby! I work part time hours and am off weekends and holidays. I’m happy to spend my free time playing, walking, and spending time with your pet! While at work crates, gates, or free roam can be used depending on your pets needs and comfort. Pets will be monitored through pet cams during working hours. While in my home pets can have free roam or access to a crate depending on their needs and comfort. For walks I utilize harnesses and if needed can add a back up slip lead if owner feels more comfortable to ensure safety. Pets will always have access to fresh water and toys and will be well loved while in my care!
“Words cannot express how helpful Victoria has been for us. Short notice, flexible, talented, she is not only accountable but so loving to my puppy and takes special note of his needs. She is constantly updating me, brushing sunny and loving him up. We cannot appreciate Victoria more!”

“Ariel is an extremely dedicated and kind dog sitter. When our pup was homesick and struggling, she did everything in her power to provide love and security for our dog. She took the dog on long walks to get out the energy and even went out of her way to purchase bones from Petco for our dog to chew on. We are so appreciative.”

“Steph has a beautiful yard and I love the photos/updates she sends of my dog. It looks like she has a great time playing with Steph’s pups as well. Very happy to have found a great pet sitter in the area.”

About: My childhood dog Magnum lived to age 20, so I feel that I can confidently say that I can shower your dog with love and care so they can live a long and healthy life! I work full-time but I am typically home from work by 4 on Wed-Fri and every other Monday. I am very active and love to get some steps in. I work in a hospital, so every day I am trusted with the lives of loved ones, and that pushes me to take my job very seriously. I don't have a pet at the moment, but I miss spending time with my dog and would love to care for yours!
“Jessica's place was great stay for my dog. I loved her cute back yard and that she's right across the street from a park. I also appreciate the one on one attention my pup received. Thank you for loving on my girl while we were away.”

“Elizabeth took great care of my dog. She gave lots of updates and was a pleasure to work with. My dog loves her and seemed so happy while she boarded with her.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
