“Casey and Marwa are the most accommodating and caring dog sitters, we have ever had. They do their best to keep with the routines that Indiana knows and then add extra long walks, treats, brushing, playing, and lots of love. Their Pug Kevin is so cute and friendly. On top of that, they are super-flexible with drop off and pick up times and took Indy in on very short notice. Will definitely be back”

“Danielle, her family and her two dogs were the best of hosts!!! Danielle works from home so she was always there to take care Juney and all of her food needs, walking needs and taking her out back to her fenced yard to play and get all the energy out. She also kept us updated every day with how she was doing and also with great pics to show the fun she was having or just relaxing. We couldn’t be happier. Danielle is awesome! I look forward to using her again for Juneau!!!”

“Bingley and his humans couldn't be happier when he gets to stay with Megan, Jake and Duncan. He's thrilled with the attention and activity he gets and we're relaxed knowing that he has the best care possible. We all hit the jackpot.”

“Deanna & Family were wonderful Hosts to our big energetic lab. Their home, yard & location lends itself to be the perfect home away from home for your best fur friend. Communication was on point, pictures & updates were received. Highest of recommendations to Deanna & Family.”

“We are so happy we found Andrew! He is very responsive and so good at what he does. We felt so comfortable leaving our dog with him for almost a week, and he sent many updates the entire time. Will definitely be booking again soon - thank you so much!”

“They were very accomodating. Due to a flight delay on my end. They were willing to spend some extra hours with my dog until I could have someone pick them up. They also send pictures to show updates.”

“Melissa was great! She was flexible with my drop off and pickup times and was always in touch. Luna had a great stay! Melissa also sent me pictures too, which helped a lot! Would definitely use her again!”

“Jessica is truly amazing. She was able to make my Dog feel apart of her family. I was able to enjoy my vacation with no worries of how my dog was getting cared for. I was so blessed to find someone like Jessica. I would definitely, recommend her for your furry friend. I will be rebooking in the future.”

“Theresa is easily my favorite Rover of all time!!! She clearly took great care of my little one and my normally super shy pup felt right at home with no transition period. Which is a first!!! Cannot recommend her enough.”

“Steph couldn’t have been any more perfect for our dog, Remy! It was the first time we left a pet with a non-family member but I felt completely comfortable. Steph even has a doggie-sofa in her living area. I could tell from our first meet and greet that she was in tune with dog behavior. Her dogs are the sweetest hosts too! When we picked up Remy, I could just tell that she had a wonderful weekend. I really appreciate having a reliable, loving place to take Remy when needed.”

“Liz is amazing! This was my first time leaving my dog with someone and I was nervous but she made everything so easy. She took such great care of my dog that I think he misses her now. We will be booking again in a few weeks ☺️☺️☺️”

“Aida was a great sitter for my pup. She was very communicative with me and very attentive towards him. I was able to have peace of mind while on vacation as I was updated with pics and activities throughout each day I was gone. I highly recommend Aida for any of your dog sitting needs.”

“The best boarding experience our dog has ever had! She has been quite anxious when we’ve returned from other trips but this time she was just happy to see us, clearly had been well cared-for and loved.”

“As a first time Rover user, my wife and I were so happy to have found Whitney to take care of our 6 month old puppy while we were out of town for the night. She sent updates and pictures throughout the stay and was always available to answer any questions we had. We will definitely use Whitney again!!”

“Nautica was an excellent host for my busy little boy. She kept them an extra day because we've been having brownouts in my neighborhood. She even dropped him off and picked him up. I knew he was going to be spoiled rotten after enjoying a long weekend with the backyard. I will be using her again”

“Pat & Bee are absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond any of our expectations. They send frequent updates with photos and videos. They are kind and loving and extremely prepared. - Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
