“Kristen was wonderful with my golden, Lucy. She took the time to give lovins' and lots of belly rubs, which is a sure win! I felt very comfortable with Kristen, feeling I was leaving my bestie in good hands! I completely trusted her!”

About: Ive taken care of and owned dogs for 20+yrs. I have alot of love to give an will love yours like they are my own. I am currently off for summer break and am available all days and hours. I live alone with my furbaby Koda, and I love all animals! I have a year old chocolate lab who loves new friends. I have a fenced in back yard and I have a crate if needed.
“Heather went above and beyond caring for our three dogs during their very first experience with a dog sitter, and we truly could not have asked for a better person to trust with them. Leaving our dogs for the first time was understandably anxiety-provoking, but Heather immediately put us at ease with her kindness, patience, communication, and obvious love for animals. She took exceptional care of all three dogs, paying attention to their individual needs and making sure they felt comfortable and cared for. Heather kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind, and it was clear our dogs were happy and well-loved while we were away. We are incredibly grateful for the care and attention she provided and would absolutely recommend Heather to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable dog sitter. She truly exceeded our expectations, and we would happily book with her again!”

“Alesia was great! Took good care of my kitties and made sure they had everything they needed while we were away!!! This included play time, good pets, fresh food and water, and litter cleanups! Thanks girl!!”

“Ande made the process very stress free! Letting someone into our home made us uneasy — but she made us very comfortable doing so! She was communicative about everything, and our dogs warmed up to her quickly. She was on time, thorough, and prioritized our dogs as if they were her own! Absolutely loved hiring her (slightly last minute, as well) and highly recommend!”

“Lauren was great. We went out of town for 2 days and she communicated at every step. We have a new dog who requires medication, on short notice and there were no issues. Will be using her help in the future.”

“Disha is AMAZING! She was able to bond with my very grumpy older cat from the beginning. Even though he normally hides from strangers, Disha had him literally eating out of her hand & purring from the 2nd day! She sent me pics and videos of each of her visits, so I wouldn't worry. I highly recommend Disha to anyone who wants their pet to be loved & catered to while they are away. If we could give her 10 stars, we would!”

“Second time using Ana in almost back to back weeks due to a family emergency. She was wonderful both times. Very flexible with our last minute needs and left our house looking better than it was left. Highly highly recommend! Will definitely be using her for future needs for as long as she is on Rover :)”

“Meghan has been an excellent care giver for our older cat, and it was a comfort knowing that she was experienced with giving medications since our sweet kitty needs a daily asthma pill. Thank you so much, Meghan!”

“Tess did an amazing job sitting for our pups. Punctual, very communicative, and most importantly our dogs were tuckered out at the end of the day. Will definitely hire again, A++ reliable sitter!”

About: Dogs have been an integral component of my family since my early childhood. We have consistently taken in puppies and dedicated our time and effort to training them into well-behaved companions. From fundamental obedience training to advanced commands, I have accumulated extensive experience in assisting my family with their dog training and care. I firmly believe that dogs are integral members of the family and should be cherished and provided with daily love and attention. My passion for dogs extends to offering reliable and trustworthy dog walking services. I am flexible in my schedule and can accommodate your needs. Currently, I am a homemaker, which would allow me ample time to walk your fur babies. My schedule permits walks or drop-in visits between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM on weekdays. Rest assured that I will treat your fur babies as my own. From leisurely walks to outdoor play, refreshing water breaks, and delectable treats, your furry friends will undoubtedly receive the utmost care and attention. Trust me, your pups will wag their tails with joy!
“Thanks Teri! You did a terrific job! I would highly recommend Teri to watch your pets. From the first time she met my boys they took a liking to her and I could tell they were going to be friends. I don’t like to leave my pets with just anyone, they mean to much to me, but I will leave them with Teri anytime! Thanks again Teri!!”

About: I have had a disabled dog of my own since I was 8, he has seizures frequently. I also have dog sat for my neighbor on multiple occasions, of which was very large, required medication, and emotional support for her anxiety. I work part time at a restaurant so I have more than enough time to provide high quality and detailed care to your furry family members. If I work, they're typically nights, so I am more available during the day or after I get off work to do some final check ins with the pets before bed. As the care would only happen in your home, I take great pride in leaving the home better than I found it and ensuring your pets health, comfortability, and safety with the information and materials provided to me.
“Kirsten did an excellent job. Responded to any question I had. We felt comfortable having her in our house. We had a good time while away, and did not worry about our kitties care.”

“Jennafer was wonderful with our pup! She made sure to meet her ahead of time to ensure that everything went smoothly and was great. We highly recommend her and will definitely use her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Shenandoah Junction
This was not an easy assignment as I requested three visits a day with both early morning and later in the evening visits, but Alexis did a fantastic job with my two hyper Aussies. She was prompt and played ball with them and gave them attention during her visits and was very conscientious and provided photos of them. Would highly recommend her.

Carolina has been such a huge help for my new puppy! I don't have to worry about my baby while I am at work. I get updates and photos at each visit and Harper gets much needed mid-day exercise and attention. I feel like Carolina takes care of Harper as if she is her own - always mindful of health, age appropriate play, and she always goes the extra mile while there!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
