“I am so grateful for this sitter! I needed to book a last-minute sitter for an event, and she replied super fast. She was incredibly nice and accommodating with Payton. Drop-off and pick-up were both a breeze, and she even sent me a picture of Payton during the stay, which gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend her and will definitely book again!”

“Nicolette was great! Ari seemed to enjoy himself! He’s an only dog and we do not do doggy parks! Just outside walks so when he’s around other dog he gets a little to excited! She responded and sent pics. Thank you”

“Literally amazing! So kind and amazing to my doggo! She sent me daily updates from pictures to videos which I just loved! This was my first time leaving my baby with someone & Im so thankful/blessed to have met her! I cannot wait to go on another trip & book her! ?❤️”

“Tracy was absolutely amazing with Rocky. She was so sweet and caring from the very beginning. She kept me updated the entire time, sending pictures and letting me know how he was doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. Rocky came back home calm, happy, and not nervous at all, that says everything. I’m truly grateful for how well she took care of him. Highly recommend her and would definitely trust her again with Rocky”

About: As a dog owner myself, I know firsthand that our pets aren’t “just dogs”—they’re family and I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your fur baby. I provide patient, loving and attentive care and treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, routines and needs. I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved while you’re away. I also know how reassuring updates can be, so I’m happy to send photos and messages during your pup’s stay or visit. My goal is for you to have peace of mind knowing your dog is being cared for like family. I’m a SAHM and I run my own business so my day consists of running a few errands, loving up with my 5 furbabies and trying to end world hunger! My yard is not fenced however there’s ample room to run around with a leash, potty breaks and I’m happy to crate as requested. I bring my furbabies to the local fenced in dog park, I’m sure they’d love more company.
“From start to finish Crystal was amazing. She kept me updated on our girl daily. I was able to enjoy my trip knowing our girl was given such great care. Would highly recommend and will be using her going forward.”

“Awesome Great communication and pictures to keep informed. First time for my elder schnauzer and young doodle to stay. They did well. Lots of love, care to make them feel comfortable!”

“Jason was super nice to us and awesome with our Border collie! Kept her super active and played with her a lot! Our dog is definitely looking forward to staying with him again!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. Growing up with pets taught me responsibility, patience, and the joy that comes from truly understanding an animal’s needs. As an adult, I’ve continued that commitment through responsible pet ownership, giving my own pets a loving, structured, and enriching home. My foundation in animal care goes even deeper thanks to my years in 4‑H, where I gained hands‑on experience in dog husbandry. From training and grooming to understanding canine behavior and proper health routines, 4‑H gave me practical skills that I still use every day. It shaped the way I approach pet care—with intention, respect, and a focus on safety and well‑being. Whether it’s daily walks, structured play, or simply offering a calm, comforting presence, I bring a lifetime of experience and genuine love for animals to every pet I care for. Your dog isn’t just another booking to me—they’re a member of the family, and I treat them with the same attention and affection I give my own. Working from home allows me to build pet care into the rhythm of my day in a way that feels effortless and intentional. Mornings start with a quick check‑in, fresh water, and a walk to get everyone moving. Throughout the workday, I’m able to offer consistent companionship — whether that’s a midday potty break, a play session between meetings, or simply being a calm presence while I work. I can keep an eye on their behavior, maintain feeding schedules, and respond quickly to their needs. Afternoon breaks often turn into enrichment time: a walk, a puzzle toy, or a little training practice to keep their minds engaged. Even as I wrap up my workday, pets stay part of the flow — evening walks, dinner routines, and plenty of attention. Working from home means your pet gets steady care, structure, and affection woven naturally into my day, not squeezed in around it. I have a fenced yard and 2 friendly dogs (74 lb. silver lab + 35 lb. terrier mix). My goal is to keep your pets routine consistent while providing a clean, safe and calm environment. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal rhythm. I follow your feeding, walking, and medication schedules exactly as you outline, and I make sure they get the same level of attention and affection they’re used to. I also keep your home tidy, respect your space, and provide updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
“I had such a great experience leaving my pup Todo with her! She kept me updated the entire time with lots of pictures — she captured the best moments, and the photos she sent were literally perfect . Todo got along really well with the other dogs that were there, and I could tell he was comfortable and happy the whole time. As a very protective dog mom, I truly felt at ease leaving my son with her. She made both me and Todo feel so welcomed, and I’m really grateful for how caring and attentive she was. I would 100% book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pet.”

“Porsha did a great job caring for our Yorkie. She pampered him and sent loads of pictures to keep me updated. If you want a safe and comfy place for your fur baby Porsha will definitely provide that.”

“I appreciate Savannah so much for watching my baby while we went away on a trip. This was my first time EVER leaving Brownie with anyone that long. We just relocated to Youngsville so I scrambled to find someone to watch her while we were gone & I couldn’t have chosen anyone better. Savannah did so good with Brownie. I wanted to make sure I chose someone that would care about her in the same manner I do. She gave lots of cuddles, play time, and personal care as she started her “period” the day we were dropping her off to Savannah. She didn’t have any issues with changing her diapers or anything. She’s awesome with communication! I received so many pics & videos while out of town, so that really put me at ease. Thank you again Savannah for loving on Brownie girl. We will book with you again for our next getaway.”

“Courtney was amazing with my baby! And to hear that he was so at home there and and well taken care of. This was my first boarding him this way and I will definitely use her again when I need someone to watch my Rinne!!”

“Lauren was AWESOME with our 3 puppies! She accepted our request just 3 days before our trip. Once we arrived, Lauren and her daughter gave us a tour of where our pups would be vacaying at. Lauren was very active with our fur babies which made us feel comfortable leaving them. She sent us pictures and even videos of her partying with the pups! 😄 10/10 recommend and would def book again!”

About: I grew up with a Yorkie and now care for him in his senior years with doggy dementia, which has taught me the importance of patience, gentle routines, and creating a calm, comforting environment. Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays I get out of class for 11 and am free for the rest of the day. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a little tougher for me due to my classes being scattered throughout the day. I enjoy taking them on walks, giving them baths, playing with them, cuddling with them, feeding and taking them out, and just having an emotional support animal around me!
About: Ive dog sat for many people for the last three years. I’ve dog sat/walked for doctors, friends, and many neighbors. I am CPR certified with humans as well as animals. Your baby will be in great hands! I’m currently a student at LSU in Baton Rouge so after my morning classes I have the rest of my day to dog sit/walk as needed I will care for them like they are my own. I will keep an eye on them as they play, I will crate if needed, and always make sure they have the appropriate amount of food and water.

97% of sitters in Shenandoah can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
