“Nicolette was great! Ari seemed to enjoy himself! He’s an only dog and we do not do doggy parks! Just outside walks so when he’s around other dog he gets a little to excited! She responded and sent pics. Thank you”

“Tracy was absolutely amazing with Rocky. She was so sweet and caring from the very beginning. She kept me updated the entire time, sending pictures and letting me know how he was doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. Rocky came back home calm, happy, and not nervous at all, that says everything. I’m truly grateful for how well she took care of him. Highly recommend her and would definitely trust her again with Rocky”

“Josie is a rescue dog and never has been away from me. Her stay with Carol was great. She was in very good hands. I have already booked a time in June for her to stay with Carol again because of her good experience.”

“Very pleased to meet Debra! When you meet her, you know she truly cares and she made us feel very comfortable while taking care of our dog. I can’t say enough, she also kept us updated with pictures. We enjoyed working with her and will be booking with her again.”

“Love Marqita. She is so caring and my fur baby loves her. She treats your baby like her own and keeps you informed throughout their stay with her without asking. Highly recommended.”

“Crystal was amazing! This was our first time using Rover and let me say, we are definitely spoiled. She immediately put our minds at ease during our home visit. She was extremely responsive and flexible when we had last minute scheduling changes. She kept us up-to-date with pictures and we could tell our pups were truly enjoying themselves. We even wondered if they’d want to come back home with us (lol). We will definitely be giving her a call for all of our pet care needs.”

“She took excellent care of my dog. She also did a great job administering twice daily flushing/drop regimen for an ear infection we found just days before our trip.”

“Shayna took Zoey as a last-minute request and did a great job. She integrated Zoey with her family and two young kids, so that was very much appreciated as felt more like being part of a family experience than in a kennel. She sent photos and communicated on a regular basis which was appreciated as well.”

About: I grew up with a Yorkie and now care for him in his senior years with doggy dementia, which has taught me the importance of patience, gentle routines, and creating a calm, comforting environment. Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays I get out of class for 11 and am free for the rest of the day. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a little tougher for me due to my classes being scattered throughout the day. I enjoy taking them on walks, giving them baths, playing with them, cuddling with them, feeding and taking them out, and just having an emotional support animal around me!
“Kenya took care of our Milo for 9 days while we were out of the country. And she was so awesome with him. She often sent us updates and pictures in regards to Milo while we were so far away. I really appreciated that so much! We will certainly book Kenya again! I wish I could give her more than 5-stars.”

“Jaci became a second family to our girls while we were on our honeymoon! We are so grateful and will definitely be sending our girls back to her when we visit family again. : ) So many updates and even a happy birthday postcard from the girls! 5 stars!!!!!”

“I wish there were more than 5 stars to give this young lady. She constantly sent pictures and let me know what they were up to and how she was doing. She spoiled Fergie and was so sweet to her and she came back refreshed and clean. Thanks so much for an amazing experience. I highly recommend boarding with her.”

Miss Debra was just wonderful with my dog Kevin. He has separation issue when I leave him but she worked it out where he would eat while was gone. He loves outside a she spent a lot of outside time with him, he looked very happy when I return from my trip. Got another coming up hope she can help me out.

I am so grateful for this sitter! I needed to book a last-minute sitter for an event, and she replied super fast. She was incredibly nice and accommodating with Payton. Drop-off and pick-up were both a breeze, and she even sent me a picture of Payton during the stay, which gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend her and will definitely book again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Riverview home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Riverview.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Riverview sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
