About: I’m new to Rover, but I’ve been caring for dogs for years. I have two dachshunds that I take care of every day, including feeding, walking, bathing, brushing their teeth, and grooming. I’ve also helped take care of many of my friend’s small dogs when needed. I’m very comfortable with small dogs and understand their personalities, especially when they’re energetic or a little stubborn. I’m patient, gentle, and make sure dogs feel safe and comfortable. I genuinely love being around dogs and spending time with them. Pet care is already part of my daily routine. I take care of my own dogs every day, including walks, feeding, and playtime. I’m currently in online school, so I have a flexible schedule and can be available most weekdays and weekends. I focus on making pets feel comfortable in their own home. I offer drop-in visits where I’ll feed them, take them outside, play with them, and keep them company. I’m experienced with small dogs and can handle things like putting on harnesses, cleaning up accidents, and helping them feel calm and safe. I pay attention to each dog’s needs and follow the owner’s instructions closely. For walks, I’m mindful of weather conditions and will always prioritize your dog’s safety, especially in hot weather.
“Heather is an above and beyond dog sitter. My dog had stomach problems while I was away and she took such great care of him and was so reassuring in updates with him. She even brought puppy pads from home, knowing that ours hadn’t arrived yet in the mail. She was so thorough and I could tell she was a fellow dog mom. She was so flexible and accommodating with me needing him let out more frequently than originally planned and she even brought my packages inside, which is an extra testament to her trust and care which is rare these days. I cannot thank her enough especially given that my dog had extra care needs not originally anticipated.”

“If you're one of those people that spends a lot of time reading through every review look no further. Matthias is professional, punctual, great with dogs, communicative and very detailed oriented. He took the time to meet us a few days before our scheduled service to make sure we would have a succesful walk. Thanks again for making this process seamless”

“Audrey has been my dog walker for over a month and she’s just great. I have an older dog so even when he’s not up for a walk Audrey will sit outside with him. I highly recommend her.”

About: Reliable, caring, and experience, your pets are in great hands with me. With a strong background in leadership and attention to detail, I treat every dog like my own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well exercised. Whether it’s a daily walk or extended pet sitting, I provide dependable care, clear communication, and plenty of affection so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I am currently working full time but am available nights and weekends. I love spending time with animals and ensuring proper exercise routine for my own dog as well as yours. I have a fenced in yard and take my own dog on plenty of walks. I also spoil my dog a little and she is allowed on furniture.
About: What sets me apart as a sitter is that animal care isn’t just something I do on the side, it’s genuinely where my heart is. I’ve been around and caring for animals my entire life, with over 17 years of hands-on experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, rabbits, turtles, and horses. I’m naturally very nurturing and observant, and I truly treat animals like family. Pet sitting is currently my full-time focus while I finish my psychology and neuroscience degree online, which means I’m home most of the day and able to give pets a lot of attention, supervision, love, and consistency. They’re not going to be left alone for long periods or stuck in a crate most of the day. I really try to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away, like a vacation of their own. I also volunteer at The Animal Foundation and have received Fear Free training in animal handling, safety, body language, and behavior. Between that and my background in psychology and medicine, I pay very close attention to subtle behavior changes, body language, appetite, mobility, energy levels, stress, and comfort. If something seems off, I don’t ignore it. I adjust care as needed and communicate quickly so owners always feel informed and reassured. I also have experience administering injections and oral medications when needed, and know how important patience, gentleness, consistency, and observation can be for pets with medical needs, anxiety, or senior care. Every animal is different, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know their personalities, routines, quirks, and needs so I can care for them in a way that makes them happiest and most comfortable. Pet sitting is currently my full-time focus while I finish school online, and because my schedule is very flexible, I’m home most of the day. That means your pet will get lots of attention, consistency, supervision, and companionship instead of being left alone for long stretches of time. My boyfriend also lives in the home and is also a huge animal lover, so there is usually an extra set of attentive eyes, supervision, and love around for pets during their stay. I prioritize safety, supervision, and maintaining a calm, comfortable space where pets can feel right at home. I follow owner instructions very carefully because I know how important consistency and trust are when someone is caring for your pet. Even though the yard is fully fenced, pets are still supervised outside and I also have security cameras for extra peace of mind. Living in Vegas, I’m very aware of the heat, so pets are never left outside for long periods, the yard has a canopy to provide shade and I’m always nearby and attentive when they’re ready to come back inside.
“Emma has been walking my 6 month old puppy consistently since my puppy was 3 months old. She follows all of my instructions to the letter, works diligently to work around my ever-changing schedule, and cares for my baby as if she were her own! I will definitely be reaching out if I need dog sitting in the future.”

About: I’ve had a dog for 14 years and I trained him myself, as of recently I got another puppy he’s about 1 year in a half right now and I’ve already trained him to go potty and to do majority of the things you want you’re dog to learn My schedule is pretty open as of right now and I just really love animals and I seen that this is a way to be able interact with some while also earning some cash and helping others. Well I’m very and I mean very patient and understanding, I’m also very respectful so I won’t do anything to make others uncomfortable, I’ll also respect anyone’s home like if it was my own family
“We appreciate that Marina is communicative and reliable. Marina goes above and beyond to assure the boys are well taken care of, and is mindful and respectful of our property. We trust Marina with the boys. Thank you Marina.”

About: I have grown up and taken care of dogs since I was 5 years old. I have taken care of two small breed dogs and two medium breed dogs. I played, walked, and fed dogs on the regular while I lived with them. I currently have four cats in my home right now. My schedule differs each day, but before or after I get off, I am free to take care of your animals. On my days off, I am able to sit in and take care of your animals as much as possible. For dog owners, I will play, feed and walk your dog as much as needed. I will make sure they have as much fun as possible and are given lots of love For cat owners, it’s the same thing. Feed, clean litter and play with your cats as much as you want.

About: Had dogs my whole life. Mines a coward and we'd need to check that he gets along with yours first, he'll get bullied if I'm not careful, the poor thing I stay home all day and spend as much of my time as possible outside. Your dog may come back muddy though, the messier you get the more fun you had and all! I am home all day with eyes/ears on the pets nearly constantly. I also spend so much time in environments that encourage explorative play and will keep most dogs too busy to get bored and act out in the first place. If a pet did act out, there's more than enough space in my place to separate animals and allow them to decompress. If at your place, mine is kennel trained for the same idea.

I have a fenced backyard and an old weenie dog. She loves company and is very sweet. Your pets will be always safe and loved.

About: Hello my name is Cristina. I moved from Las Vegas to Dallas Texas. I am a mother of two. My son is 19 years old and my Daughter is 18 years old. We have a French Bulldog named Chubbs. He is friendly and playful. My children love pets. Pets have always been a part of our family. This was a way to make money while in High School and College but also because I just simply enjoyed it. Every pet is different but they all deserve to be cared for and loved in the very best way. I provide a number of services and I am also very flexible. Whatever your pet sitting needs may be. I always provide full attention and care for each and every pet. Updates and photos are very important throughout the stay to keep you updated with all the fun things, cute moments and most importably to make you feel close and part of your pets day. I understand that leaving your pet can be difficult or nerve wrecking and i would like to ease a little bit of the anxiety especially when its the for the first time or for the first time with a new sitter. I want to give your pet all the comforts of home and make this experience easy on you as well as your furry companion. I own a small online business and work from home. This allows me to spend more time with the children and also look after some furry friends. I have a fenced yard with cement and grass and installed an additional fence for your pets safety and protection. Although the fence is secure I do not leave pets outside with no supervision. I always stay at a distance were i can see them. Thank You for taking the time to read my bio. I look forward to your inquiries and meeting all your adorable pets.
“Heather is great! We hired her for dog walking while out of town. She took the time to get to know our pup and understand his temperament and habits. She truly is a dog-person who cares about others dogs. She spent quality time loving on him, and sent us updates regularly, which gave us peace of mind while we were away from him. We highly recommend Heather ?.”

About: I've owned dogs for as long as I can remember. I live in a single story home with a fenced backyard. I am a retired nurse and I'm very comfortable with administration of any type of medication. I can be home all day if that is what your pup requires. Depending on your dogs' level of activity we can go on hikes, walks, trips to the lake etc. My back yard is completely fenced. I currently do not have any pets in my home so your pup will get all my attention. I have a dog door that I can insert in my sliding glass door if your dog will use it. I live in a quiet NW neighborhood, away from all the noises of the city.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sheep Mountain
If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! We have trusted Vanessa with our dog, Kappi, for the past three years, and she has been nothing short of amazing. She has walked him every week and has also cared for him whenever we’ve gone out of town. Knowing Kappi was with her always gave us complete peace of mind. She treats Kappi like he’s one of her own. She goes above and beyond by taking him on fun little adventures for treats, toys, and pup cups, and it’s obvious how much she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she watches. Kappi absolutely adores her, and we always knew he was happy, safe, and loved while he was in her care. She is incredibly reliable, trustworthy, communicative, and professional. Whether it was a regular walk or an extended dog-sitting stay, we never had to worry for a second. We are heartbroken to be moving out of state because finding someone who compares to her is going to be nearly impossible. Any pet parent would be incredibly lucky to have her care for their furry family member. We cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Kappi over the last three years—Kappi will miss you so much!
