She sent pictures of our cats to us everyday on vacation and was super responsive on her phone when we wanted to see our pets. It was such a relief knowing that she was here with them. One of the things I appreciated the most was that when we got here it was as clean as when we left it. She took all the notes and she performed the tasks laid out to her exactly like we did with the cats. She also helped keep them on their schedule by following their feeding times. Latasha played with them which is honestly more than I do sometimes. They may have gotten a little spoiled with all the attention lol. Each day she would send images but she'd also send a little story or observation of the cat. That was nice because it helped us to know that they were acting in their usual ways and not sad that we were gone and missed us. I would 1000% book Latasha again. If you've never had a cat sitter (we hadn't) she will answer all your questions and really set your nerves at ease.”

About: I have been taking care of sweet, precious pups since I was 7 years old when my mom surprised me and my brother with a basset hound puppy after school. Her name was Roxanne. A couple years later, we rescued a 6-year-old basset hound, Brandi, and a few years later, we rescued a 1-year-old beagle mix, Misty, and adopted a basset hound puppy, Willow, who had just been born on a farm near our house. We treasured our sweet babies, cooking for them every day - hard-boiled eggs for breakfast and meat and veggies for dinner. And they lived long, happy lives. Brandi, Misty, and Willow all made it to about 15 years old! I just moved from Colorado to start my PhD in Public Health at WashU, and I can't wait to pick back up with dog sitting again! In Colorado, I was the honorary dog sitter at my church. One couple even flew me out to California a few times to continue caring for their sweet pup after they moved! Between my own dogs and others' dogs, I've taken care of dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors who need lots of support. I am a PhD student at WashU Bursky School of Public Health. This semester, I have a class on the Danforth campus on Tuesdays from 9am to 12pm, Wednesdays from 12pm-1pm, and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm. My research is remote. So, I have lots of flexibility to make sure your pups get their potty breaks and play time and walk time, even on days that I have class. And house sitting would work super well :) I am offering house sitting, check-ins, and walks. If I am house sitting, I will always stay the night to make sure your pets are safe and well taken care of. I will keep the outer doors locked and make sure I am able to hear your pets if they need me. I am also happy to sleep in the same room with them if that is your preference. I will make sure to follow whatever schedule your pets need, e.g., eating, medicine, walking. As far as check-ins and walks, I will make sure to respect whatever rules you have for the house (e.g., shoes off, doors locked). I'm also happy to give your dogs a bath when they need it!

“Cara was amazing with our 2 jack russel terriers while we were on vacation for a week. She sent pictures and videos daily which we adored. Our younger, newer dog warmed up to her quickly. She played ball with pur older dog. Good communication, reliable and helped us relax by not having to worry about the dogs while on vacation since we knew they were with someone who cared. About: I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting since I was in high school. I’m well experienced in caring for cats and dogs of all kinds. I’m currently a PhD student looking for extra work as I complete my dissertation. My schedule is highly flexible both on weekends and weekdays and I am available on weekdays and weekends. I will not be able to care for pets in my own home, as I have a cat of my own. However, I am comfortable entering others homes and caring for animals in their place of living, including letting dogs in the backyard, crating animals, and cleaning up any potential messes made in my absence.

About: I’m a life time dog owner, lover and rescuer. I have experience with all animals from puppies to senior dogs. Big or small I love them all! I’m an expert at senior care, maintaining routines, administering medicine and giving all the attention and belly rubs. With more active dogs I enjoy being able to take them on longer walks and explore new areas to keep them interested in the work around. I’m a full time college student, I am 3/4 remote learning on my lap-top so I have open availability all days except for class t/th 9am-12pm. I am comfortable with over nights and can handle long term stays. With dog walking and check ins I am extremely flexible to everyone’s schedule I follow any instructions provided first when caring for anyone’s dogs. As a routine I change to fresh water immediately when stopping in or first thing in the morning and following the feeding routine. I want to try to make the dog as comfortable as possible and then get into moving around and getting physical activity for the day!

She had no issue with changing potty pads which is an unusual request for cat sitting to say the least haha. She also kept me supplied with updates and pics to set my mind at ease.
