Pet care experience
Bilingual vet tech!
I grew up on a cattle ranch in rural Texas, and I have always loved getting to interact with animals and get to know their individual personalities. I learned first-hand how to take care of all animals, large and small. Just to name a few, I have raised dogs, cats, horses, cows, donkeys, rabbits, betta fish, and chickens throughout my life. I am especially connected to dogs and cats, and I have two cats of my own at home. I am a veterinary technician, and I am certified in Fear-Free handling techniques and have a certification as a Feline Veterinary Professional as well. I have experience providing professional sitting services since 2022 including pet hospice care, medication administration, and diabetic care support as well. I have my own transportation and can provide services anywhere in STL city. Fun fact about me: I’m an aspiring polyglot, and can speak English and Spanish fluently, with skills in French, Italian, Haitian Creole, and am working on learning more languages!

Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I am very conscientious with my client’s homes, and am careful to never wear my shoes inside. If you are missing your pet while they are in my care, I am happy to capture pictures and videos of their cute moments and send them to you! As a pet parent myself, I know how anxiety-inducing leaving them behind during trips and vacations can be. I will treat your fur baby and your home like my own, and will provide them with all the love and attention they deserve while you are away. Daily water and food replenishment, bowl cleaning, and pet waste removal are included as a standard service for all clients. In addition to pet services, I can check your mailbox, bring in packages, water houseplants, and I'll even take out the garbage if you let me know the right days for your neighborhood ahead of time. (If you have a garden or a lot of houseplants, I'll ask for a written list of watering days.) For any house-sitting clients, I always request a little house tour before the booking starts so that you can show me where the pet supplies are located, where I'll be staying, and any house quirks that I may need to know. For drop-in visits of 3 days or more, I will request a house tour as well. Drop-in Visits: After completing the daily tasks, I spend time giving affection and attention to your fur babies by petting them, brushing their coats, and playing with them if they are in the mood during my visit. I reserve drop-in visits primarily for cat or small animal care (sorry, no snakes). For example, if you have a small pet(s) and a dog who needs a walk, the services have to be separate bookings due to time constraints.
Ratings and reviews
Kay Beth is amazing! She was so attentive and caring taking care of my dog, Bernice. Bernice has some extra needs like insulin injections and Kay Beth handled them like a champ. She is a vet tech so I trusted her with all of Bernice's medical needs. She loved on Bernice so much and gave her all the love and attention while I was out of town- I don't think Bernice noticed I was gone. She even noticed when Bernice started to show signs of an eye infection and called me right away. Kay Beth was great with sending daily updates and photos. Thanks, KB!!

KB took great care of my dogs while I was away for the weekend. She is professional and has great communication. And she left my house cleaner than I left it!

Kay Beth was great with my dogs! She makes sure they are comfortable and prioritizes keeping their routines. I also really appreciated her communication and flexibility when it came to working with my unpredictable schedule. Already making plans to have her take care of my dogs again! Definitely recommend!

KB watched our dog, Fester, for the weekend and did an amazing job. KB being a former vet tech, gave us so much peace of mind, especially since our dog has separation anxiety. He absolutely adored her and had a great time. She kept us updated throughout the weekend, took him on walks, and made sure he had plenty of playtime and treats. She also took great care of our home and left it spotless. We had such a great experience that we’ll absolutely be using KB again and highly recommend her!

KB was awesome watching our little princess while we were gone for Thanksgiving. She did a preliminary walkthrough of our house to talk about things while we were gone and was very professional. During our trip she gave us regular updates and was super respectful of our house and kept it immaculate. Definitely would use her again! Well worth it!

KB is magical! Our cats (who are very shy/hide from new people) went to her on the first visit. KB is calm, responsible, took care of our house and kitties perfectly. She sent us photos and updates everyday, answered any questions we had — we could fully relax knowing our kitties were safe and well taken care of.

Schedule
Pet care is my part time job! I am a Veterinary Technician, and can provide services for pets after my shifts at the hospital. I have every Thursday and Sunday off work, and work a half day every other Saturday.
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsKay Beth can host up to 4 drop-ins per day
- For me, it’s important to know if your pet has any allergies or history of aggressive behavior towards other pets or humans. This way, I can keep everyone as safe as possible on our walks and during our time together. Some pets just need space from others to be their best, and that is okay. My philosophy is always to meet each animal where they are on their journey rather than take a cookie-cutter approach to all pets.
