About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life. One of my earliest memories is begging my parents for a dog until they relented and got me a free puppy from the classifieds in the newspaper (yes, I am that old)! Over my life time, I’ve been privileged to take care of five dogs. They ranged in size from a 10 pound poodle mix to a 150 pound St. Bernard. My current fur babies are a 2 large dogs and two pampered house cats As a pet owner, I know the importance of having reliable and trustworthy sitters to take care of my fur babies when I am out of town. I am that person who writes long and detailed instructions about feeding schedules, medications, and who to call in case of an emergency. About: Hi my name is Michael. I am a current senior at Wilkes who is looking to get involved in the local community. I have spent several years caring for dogs. I have two of my own at home in Stroudsburg (pit mixes), and in high school and over breaks I have pet sat and walked dogs for over a dozen homes in my community. I take pride in being a student leader and a future educator, as well as being responsible, dependable, and knowledgeable. For instance, I am well versed in dog body language, basic obedience, and many different breeds and personalities (small to big, guardian breeds, I love them all!). About: I grew up with dogs and cats as pets, so have lifelong experience caring for animals. My family owned a small farm for a period of time, so I also gained experience with horses in addition to cats and dogs. We owned a German Shepard and a cockapoo, so I do have direct experience with both smaller and larger dogs. In high school, I took 4 years of animal science, which further advanced my knowledge of pets and gave me hands on experience in a pre-veterinarian science atmosphere. I plan on returning to school in the near future to further my studies in the animal sciences field and pursue a career as a Veterinarian Technician. I have had a life full of loving animals and live to care for them any way I can.
