“I had a lot of anxiety leaving my pup for the very first time and Russell did an amazing job with her! I would highly recommend him for your pet’s care! She was very well taken care of and he played with her, took her on walks and made her feel right at home. She is a high energy dog and he did fantastic with her!”

“I had a great experience with Sandra. She took amazing care of my dog, and I could tell he felt safe and happy with her. When we came to pick him up, he even ran back to say goodbye. That meant so much. Highly recommend!”

“Ronald and his wife were great! They went out of their way to help me get my dog to their house while a political event had some roads blocked off in the area. I also got several pics from them, showing my pup being loved and comfortable. I will definitely be using Ronald again :)”

“Elaine did a great job! Her home is well-suited to caring for pets and she provided excellent care. I appreciated the regular updates and pictures she provided throughout the stay.”

“Jessica was absolutely top tier. This was my first time leaving my dogs with someone, so as you could imagine, there was some learning curves. She was transparent, informative, and very understanding that this was a new experience for them. Forever grateful for her to give me a piece of mind that they were in such amazing care!”

“Nicholas and Sara were great with our 2 girls. They were very diligent in getting to know their routines upfront and keeping us updated everyday. I’d def board with them again.”
“Our dog had a wonderful stay with Laura! She took great care of him and made sure that he got his meds. She sent daily pictures and updates. Today at home he is resting from all the fun play with his new friends at Laura's house. We will book again with her!”

“Rachel is a wonderful carer for a dog. My dog behaved better under her care than under my own. She kept me very up-to-date on the progress of my dog stay, as well as pictures. My dog became fast friends with her dog. And I really cannot recommend her enough after Boarding dogs that I’ve owned for over 24 years. Our previous dog sitter had moved away and our back up. We were not quite sure about. I’m so glad I made this decision and I would do so in the future without any hesitation whatsoever.”

“Shelby is an excellent boarding hostess. She is patient and kind and she and her 2 dogs made Shadow feel right at home. She sent photos and is an excellent communicator. We will call Shelby again!”

“Carrie took great care of our pit bull Sox in her home while we were out of town for a couple days! She sent daily updates with pictures and videos to assure us he was doing well. Her whole family gave him much love and treated him like their own. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Christopher and Nicole are wonderful to our Simba. We were lucky to find them and we definitely will be rebooking in the future. And we recommend them to anyone! They are awesome.”

About: I had pets ever since I was a little girl. My dream job would be to work with animals. I currently have two cats at home who I rescued after being abandoned by their mother. They are sweet and loving but can be a little shy or skittish around new people and things — so they may hide at first, but they warm up quickly! They are fully socialized and pose no threat to visiting dogs or other pets. I am a dog lover and I'm looking forward to watching and caring for your pets. Even though I'm new on Rover I hope I can earn your trust on caring for your pets. I'm hoping this experience will help me create my own successful dog boarding business in the future. Right now I work full-time at Mac.bid. Fill free to message me if you have any questions or concerns about anything. I look forward in working with all of you. Thanks. I work full time Monday through Friday , so I am only available to care for your pup on weekends — Friday evening through Sunday. During this time I am fully dedicated and able to give your dog my complete attention, love, and care all weekend long! While I do have a fenced yard, I also use a ground stake and leash for added security during outdoor time — especially for dogs I am not yet familiar with. This ensures your pup can enjoy the fresh air safely while I get to know their personality and behavior. All outdoor time is fully supervised regardless!
“Donna & Britton did an excellent job of caring for our 10 week old puppy Sophie. It takes a special person to care for a puppy and we were so thankful for them. Will definitely use again!”

“Joshua and Audrey were awesome taking care of our fur baby! They sent lots of photos and were very responsive. My dog Roger had lots of fun playing with Chomps all weekend.😊”

“We couldn't have found a better pet sitter than Lisa P. Our dog Petey has a lot of anxiety, but Lisa knew exactly how to deal with him. She sent us pictures every day of him and he looked so happy and relaxed. We are so happy we found her and could relax on our vacation and not worry about him.”

“If you are looking for a home away from home, Victoria has a place for your pets. She took care of our nine weeks old puppy really well. We got regular updates from her when we were out. I highly recommend Victoria, Definitely will use our service again.”

“Jennifer was fantastic with my dog Cody. She sent pictures and videos daily and messages letting me know how he was doing. Cody hasn’t done well in boarding environments. On the way home from Jennifer’s he was calm and content. He also became buddies with her dog Milo. I will certainly be taking Cody back to Jennifer!”

“Katherine is amazing. She goes out of her way to make sure my pup is safe and happy. She sends great pix and videos. Communication is prompt and clear. My dog races to her and to her backyard as soon as we pull up in the drive. Can't recommend highly enough!”

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
