“Lindsey made me feel super at ease as a first time Rover user. I needed someone to house sit as well as pet sit and she made sure everything and everyone was well taken care of! When we arrived home the house was clean and the pets were happy! Highly recommend.”

“Kim was amazing with our 2 fur babies ! She made it so easy and eased our minds about leaving our puppets at home under her care. Falkor and Seraphina immediately took to Kim and were sad when it was time for her to go home. Highly recommend Kim ❣️❣️❣️🐾🐾🐾🐾”

“Teresa was very good with our Yorkies. She took good care of them, we felt confident about her abilities concerning our fir kids. Very neat and responsive to all of our requests, she took excellent care of them, we will use her again.”

“Elaina was amazing and took great care of our elderly pups. She checked in and sent some pictures throughout the week and we knew they were both happy and content. We will definitely use her in the future!”

“Allison did a great job sitting with our dog while we were on vacation. She asked questions and sent pictures to let us know our pup was ok. We will definitely use Allison again.”

“Five stars isn’t enough — Preston is the real deal. As professional dog daycare and boarding operators, we have extremely high standards for who we trust with our animals and our home. Preston didn’t just meet those standards — he obliterated them. Our four boys were calm, happy, and clearly well-loved when we got home. The house was spotless. And Preston had already handled everything. Here’s what truly set him apart: he noticed an ear infection developing in one of our dogs — something that requires a practiced, attentive eye — arranged transportation to and from the vet, cleaned the ear, and administered the post-visit medication. All on his own. That’s not just good pet sitting. That’s genuine expertise and real initiative. We’ve been in the pet care industry. We know what great care looks like. Preston is the rare kind of sitter you hope exists but rarely find on any platform. If you’re on the fence about booking him — stop deliberating. Book Preston. We won’t use anyone else.”

“Kristen kept our pup and bunny while we were out of town. She did fantastic! Our animals were so excited to see us and had happy little faces and were so relaxed. Kristen also kept our home the same way we left it, clean. We most definitely will have her back to care for our pets when we have to go away again! Thank you!!”

“Angela was absolutely amazing! She did such a great job caring for our three pups — you can tell she truly loves animals. She was super sweet and showed so much love and attention to each of them. Communication was excellent throughout, and we had zero issues. We felt completely at ease knowing our fur babies were in her care. Highly recommend! 🐾”

“Nyla was amazing! This was our first time using rover or any pet sitter and we had the best experience possible. Nyla is a genuine animal lover and it shows. She treated our Ruby as if she were her own. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend Nyla and we will be using her again on future trips to Tennessee.”

“Lindsey was great house-sitting at our home with our two kitties. One of our cats is elderly and requires medication and the other is young and needs a lot of attention. Lindsey gave us lots of photo and text updates while we were gone and the cats seemed happy and relaxed with her. Thank you Lindsey!!”

“Maya and Griffin LOVE Sofia as do I! She takes excellent care of them as well as our home. Very respectful of our place, totally trustworthy, and very dependable. I'm so thankful to have her as our dog sitter.”

“Abby was excellent with our pups, sent us pictures throughout the week which always helps me so much when I am away from my dogs. We came back to a very clean house and happy dogs. Which is a plus for me. We will definitely use Abby again when we need a dog/house sitter. We were very pleased.”

“Emma was fantastic! We have five dogs and two cats and I was nervous about leaving the Country for a week. We definitely have a house full and Emma handled everything professionally and treated our dogs like her own. She was very communicative and set pictures often. The house was tidy when we got back and all of our pets where well taken care of. We would 💯 hire Emma again.”

“Absolutely fantastic! She took care of my fur babies while I attended a birthday party. Highly recommend her! Super calm personality keeps the dogs relaxed. They were happy and worn out when she left. If you need”

“Olivia was great! She took excellent care of our pets and was very communicative throughout our trip. She was accommodating of their individual needs, and we came home to happy pets and a clean house. We'd definitely book with her again.”

“Jataelynn was an amazing puppy sitter. She made us feel comfortable about leaving our 3 dogs with and took such great care of them. She communicated throughout the stay and asked questions, as needed. We would definitely recommend her and would not hesitate to book her in the future!”

“Thomas was absolutely phenomenal! From the very beginning, he went above and beyond by making a couple of visits before our trip to learn our dogs' routines, medications, and schedules. That gave us tremendous peace of mind before we even left. While we were away, he took wonderful care of Todd and Louis and kept us updated with plenty of texts and photos. Seeing how happy and well cared for they were made it so much easier to relax and enjoy our trip. He also took excellent care of our home, even remembering to take the trash to the curb after I completely forgot. It was speaks to the level of care and attention he gives. Because Louis is elderly and Todd has had some recent health issues, we're especially careful about who cares for them. Thomas exceeded every expectation. Thomas exceeded every expectation and earned our complete trust. I wouldn't hesitate to have him stay with Todd and Louis again, and I recommend him without reservation.”

“Sarah was awesome. Our puppies loved her, and she was very responsible, even putting up with us being helicopter puppy parents! :). Her dog, Lyla was very friendly and played will with our puppies. We will definitely be calling her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Seymour
Elianna was wonderful and such a blessing. Not only did she accommodate us and our needs last minute, but truly made our vacation possible. I would highly recommend anyone staying in the Pigeon Forge area to her if you need in cabin sitting for your pups while you are out sightseeing etc. We were able to visit Gatlinburg and attend our dinner show with ease knowing that the dogs were being watched and were safe. More Rover sitters would greatly benefit from advertising this service to out of town visitors and cabin companies- it not only protects cabin companies and the property from damage, but also keeps from having to crate your dogs for an extended period or pack a crate. This service allowed our dogs freedom, socialization, and unlimited potty breaks by just having someone stay with them while we were out. It was ideal for our needs and we came back to very happy dogs. We will definitely be using her services again when we return. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. Thanks again Elianna! You’re awesome.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Seymour walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Seymour maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Seymour choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
