About: Greetings! I'm Daniel, I've been pet-sitting and dog-walking off and on for 17 years. I love animals: With me, you get a new friend for your pets, and a dependable steward of your home. I believe in the Hawaiian meaning of "Kahu," that we should be guardians and beloved attendants of our animal friends. I devote highly sensitive heart-centered care for your pets for two main reasons: 1) I am a remote worker as a writer and healing coach, so I can be at home with our furry friends. I am not just feeding and walking your dog(s) and caring for your cats; I am providing emotional support and plenty of care (frequent outdoor breaks and walks, playtime, pats, massage, energy work, etc.). 2) I am a professional in the practice of meditation and the healing arts, a path that cultivates empathy, which helps me bond with animals and be more attuned to their needs. I have been on this path for 17 years. I am highly intuitive. I practice Eastern techniques of energy work (qi qong and martial arts) and I am a certified Reiki practitioner, so I love to connect with animals as part of that practice (they are great conductors of energy, which is only ever healing and calming for them to experience). About: I’ve taken care of many cute dogs and a couple cats. Walking, sitting or just taking them out to the dog park to release their energy. Whatever you need I’m there. I have experience with dogs who need medicine as well. I love pets and have a dog of my own who I love to take to the beach and run free in the wind. I can watch small, medium and large dogs and they all receive the same love and attention while Im there. I am available to watch, play, and love on your pets all day Friday, Sat, Sun and Mondays! The remaining of the week I am working a 9-7 job in Westport I care for the pets as the owner request. I prefer to do sitting at the dogs house so they are most comfortable in their space and I ask their favorite downtime activities so they get all the attention and love while their owners are away.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
