“Shannon was very good. She asked whatever questions necessary to take good care of my pups. She was great, taking my request the same day I needed her. Quick responses and definitely reliable!!”

About: I've volunteered with an animal rescue for 8 years now. I know how to administer medicine, handle feral or very anxious furbabies, I'm fearless and very lovable. Animals are the humans most wonderful friends. I know basic dog training as well. I have open availability at this moment in time unless I have planned events. I'm planning to start school soon but most of my classes would be online so I will be home. If you have a certain routine or schedule with your babies I'll do my absolute best to follow in your foot steps for them. ❤️
“Katie is absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of my kitties and kept me updated with lots of photos—not only of them but also of other areas of my home that she thoughtfully looked after. I felt completely at ease while I was away. I’ll definitely be using Katie again for future trips. Thank you so much, Katie!”

“Christina was excellent! She is extremely sweet and our fur babies loved having her care for them. She pays close addition to detail and was able to medicate our little boy with no issues. She comes highly recommended!”

“Teagan was so great with our XL pup. She came multiple times a day to take care of/ play with him and sent lots of pictures. This was our first time using Rover and we would book her again in a heartbeat! Very reassuring to know that someone can take such good care of your pet when you aren’t able to bring them along.”

“Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease caring for Jackson & Julius during our daughter’s wedding celebration. I was grateful for the updates and pictures shared. I highly recommend Charlotte and this service.”

“The best! The boys loved Julianna and warmed up to her right away! She is super experienced with all different dogs from all walks of life! Felt so comfortable with her watching over the boys! Would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a sitter.”

“This was our first time working with Ashley and it was easy and stress free! She came for a meet and greet and a followup before our first visit which was helpful for me to show everything. I received a ton of pictures and I could tell our large, rambunctious pups were happy!! We will definitely work with Ashley again!”

About: I've taken care of mutiple dogs with different disabilities to dogs with high energy and needs lots of play time. Depending on the age and activity it can handle depends my routine with them. If its a puppy, I will make sure to follow the guidelines set and to practice its skill to not collect bad habits. I am currently a leasing agent. My time spent with any pet will be the same. I will designate my days off to this app to help fellow neighbors Each situation is different depending on housing if it has a fence or how the dog is with people and other dogs. My main concern is being there if the dog needs to go to the bathroom or its daily walks. Then when its an over night visit. I make sure the dog knows its safe until the owner is home. If it were to come to my home I would ensure it is comfortable with the enviornment and bring toys and treats to help the dog settle in.
“Emily was WONDERFUL with our three dogs. She is responsible and a great communicator. She sent pictures from each visit. Our pups loved spending time with her. We’d definitely use her again.”

“Jennifer took incredible care of my two-year-old cat, and I couldn’t be happier! This was my first time having someone outside of my family pet sit, so I was definitely nervous — but Jennifer instantly put me at ease. I left very specific instructions and shared my worries with her, and she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. She kept me updated after every visit with detailed reports and plenty of photos, which I truly appreciated. From her updates and the way my little guy looked in the pictures, I could tell he trusted her completely and felt safe and loved in her care. I’m so grateful I chose Jennifer and would book her again and again without hesitation. If you’re looking for someone reliable, caring, and attentive, I highly recommend her!”

I can’t recommend Taylor highly enough! She took wonderful care of my dog, cat, and even my hermit crabs while I was away. It was such a relief knowing they were in good hands. She kept me updated with regular messages and adorable photos, which really put my mind at ease. All of my pets were clearly happy, comfortable, and well looked after. It’s not easy finding someone you can fully trust with your animals, but Taylor is truly one of a kind. I’ll be booking her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
