My family and I have been lucky enough to care for two Yorkies, two Pugs, a German Shepherd, a cat, a chinchilla, a guinea pig, a cockatoo, two parakeets, a turtle, a ball python, and finally, saltwater and freshwater aquariums with beautiful fishies and crayfish combined. With years of pet-loving experience, I love meeting, interacting, and playing with animals of all shapes and sizes. Having lived with so many different animals, I truly believe that each pet is its own individual with specialized needs. In nurturing my since passed nearly 18-year-old blind and deaf Lolita independently from just six years old, my huge soft spot for dogs was inevitable. I understand how difficult it is for you and your pup to be away from each other, so I always strive to meet your pet's every need. Working from home full-time, I have lots of flexibility for long walks and outdoor play which I thoroughly enjoy anyway. About: For as long as I can remember I’ve been passionate about working with animal life and pets, especially dogs. I’ve trained multiple dogs prior to. I am looking for a part time position that will help me to turn my love and hobby for care taking for dogs into a fun, fulfilling job and task. I have a fenced and large backyard, where your fur baby will be safe! I also have a friendly rottie, that loves guests! And I am happy to offer my help and expertise as needed/ asked for. About: Hi there! I'm a lifelong dog lover who grew up with two Labrador Retrievers, so caring for dogs has always felt like second nature to me. From puppyhood antics to lazy afternoon cuddles, I know firsthand how much joy (and energy!) dogs bring to a home. I'm comfortable with a variety of breeds, sizes and personalities. Whether you pup loves long walks and playtime or just wants a cozy companion to snuggle with, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I work full-time at home with a flexible schedule. I live right by Prospect Park for long or short walks. When hosting a pet, I try to only leave for 2-3 hours at a time. I live in an elevator building. I don't have a yard but I do live near Prospect Park and love a good long walk. My apartment is spacious, even for New York, and guests of any species are allowed on the couch.
