“Ashley took good care of my baby and I could see clearly (via the photos of her visits, etc.) that she loves animals and that my kitty was happy with Ashley. Ashley is very trustworthy with regard to keys/returning keys, etc. and she followed instructions. Thank you!”

“Brittany was so wonderful with taking care of my cats while I was out of town! She spent plenty of time playing with them, cleaning the litter box, and encouraging my shy cat to come out for treats. She was very communicative and sent tons of photos and updates.”

“This was our first time using Rover. After several days of reviewing profiles we decided to reach out to Andrea. We knew we made the right choice from the moment she messaged us back. She immediately asked about a meet and greet. One of our cats has a gastrointestinal medical issue that requires daily medicine. And all of our cats are extremely high maintenance and picky. Andrea stayed for an hour learning about their eating patterns and daily medicine routine for our youngest cat. While we were gone Andrea took excellent care of our babies. We came home to happy relaxed cats. We will definitely be using Andrea again for our next trip.”

About: I have over five years of experience caring for dogs through Rover and for family and friends. I’ve looked after all kinds of pups from playful puppies full of energy to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and comfort. I make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits easily into my schedule since I work for myself and set my own hours. I’m pretty flexible and always make time for the dogs I watch. Whether it’s walks or playtime, I can adjust my day to make sure each pup gets the attention they need. I make sure every pup feels safe and loved while in my care. I follow each owner’s routine feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions so they feel right at home. I give plenty of attention and snuggles, make sure they get gentle exercise, and keep their space comfortable and cozy. My goal is for every pup to feel happy, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away.
“Sydney was wonderful! I’m a nervous cat Mom whenever I have to leave my boy, Chester. She sends descriptive texts & pics to show everything she’s doing. She really put my mind at ease. Will definitely book her in the future.”

“Mackenzie has always watched our feisty, 7 yr old cat & she was very quickly able to warm up to our new, little Daisy! She watched the girls through the holidays & it was obvious from the photos how much they love her!”

About: While I’m new to pet sitting, I’ve spent years caring for my own pets with lots of love and attention. I had a pit bull for 7 wonderful years who loved long walks, tug-of-war, and spending time together. I also have a senior dog (miniature pinscher) that I’ve cared for for over 17 years, so I understand the patience and love older pets need. I may not have years of professional experience, but I promise to care for your pets as if they were my own. I’d truly appreciate the opportunity to earn your trust. Thank you for considering me, and I hope to meet you and your furry family soon! 🐾 I’m available Friday through Sunday, where I can dedicate my full attention to your dog’s needs. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or plenty of love and cuddles, I’ll make sure your pup feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own. Since I don’t have any pets at home, they’ll get my full attention and have plenty of space to relax and play. I’ll stick to their routine and make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and getting lots of love while you’re away.
“Sydney was great!! She showed up on time and was patient and caring toward my dog who often gets anxious around new people. She communicated with me throughout and let me know how he did on his walk with her. I’d absolutely book with her again!”

“Erin is awesome! She took great care of Suki while we were away, no issues at all. It was a huge relief to have someone reliable to check up on her while we were away. Suki loved her! About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is the genuine love and patience I have for animals. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. I have a 5-year-old Chorkie named Cali, so I’m very familiar with providing daily care, attention, exercise, and affection that pets need to feel safe and happy. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine since I’m a full-time dog mom. I structure my day around feeding, playtime, exercise, and regular walks with my dog, so caring for animals is something I naturally prioritize. Because of this, I’m consistent with routines and attentive to pets’ needs throughout the day. Adding pet sitting fits easily into my schedule, as I’m used to providing companionship, supervision, and active care to make sure pets stay happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Safety and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home. I make sure pets are always supervised, kept in a clean and secure environment, and follow their normal routines as closely as possible to reduce stress. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions provided by the owner. In a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s familiar environment, which helps them feel safe and relaxed while their family is away. I’m attentive to behavior changes, make sure doors and gates are secure, and keep pets away from anything unsafe.

Samantha is wonderful! She’s incredibly thoughtful and thorough, and she truly goes above and beyond. She helped us feel safe about our cat being home alone, and she helped our cat feel loved while we were away. Thank you so much!!! Will 100% book again next time we need care.

Chris is excellent! My boys were very well taken care of. They love her and even remembered her from the last time she took care of them. I'm very grateful for the high level of care she gives, and anyone would be lucky to be able to book her for their furry family!
I’ve hired Minnie several times but felt compelled to leave another written review because I recently left town for 2 weeks and had peace of mind knowing that my cat Elvis was under her care. She’s great at communication and checking in, and amazing with animals.

Lizzy is terrific. She is not only very pleasant, but reliable and most important…my two cats liked her and they don’t particularly like anyone other than their mom! I had a package arrive that required refrigeration and she shot over to put it in the refrigerator. I will be calling on her again soon. Thanks again Lizzy, you’re the best! :)
Francesco did an amazing job taking care of my 3 dogs and cat. He was punctual and very professional. Always in communication and available when you needed him. My dogs and cats loved him. He took such good care of them all and the house. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for someone reliable and who loves animals! Thank you Francesco!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Schall Circle. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
