I have volunteered at a dog rescue, and I have experience walking and sitting all sorts of dogs— small, large, young and excited, old and a bit slower, trained, untrained. I've raised dogs and cats and have done the whole shabang- training, potty-training, cleaning up messes, etc. I understand things happen and am patient with them. I'm happy to play with your pets, take dogs on walks, and give them extra love while you are away! I am a clear, honest communicator. I want you to be aware if anything happens you need to know about to ensure the safety of your pet. I have been on your end of Rover, and I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet with someone you don’t know very well. So I will send consistent updates and pictures, and be available for any questions from you. I can’t wait to meet your furbaby! I will treat them as my own 🩵 I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I have a few meetings spread through the day, but most of the time, I can make drop ins/walks work with whatever schedule is needed. And if I am dog sitting, I will be home all day since I work from home. At my home, I have a fenced in yard. I will supervise any outside time. I will make sure the leash and collar are secured before going on a walk. I don’t put my face in their face, and allow them to take the lead on contact and interaction. I know I’m a stranger to them at the beginning, and know trust needs to be built!

About: Long time dog owner and lover. My 1.5 year old husky mix has been my ultimate challenge. I've learned more patience and gained confidence as we work towards making her a model citizen. If you also wouldn't describe you dog as "easy" I might be the right fit for you. I am currently home full time with my pup. About: Hello! I’m Keagan and I’d love to take care of your baby! I absolutely love any and all animals. I raised my yellow lab puppy at 14, and my orange crazy cat at 15. I’ve always been around animals, have raised multiple cats and dogs, and love each animal for who they are. Each fur baby is different and deserves to have that understood and respected. I’ve taken care of the sweetest pittie from 9 months to 3 years, an 11 year old boxer, a 9 year old German pointer, and raised my own dachshund mix. And I’ve babysat 4 cats at once! Multiple people have had me watch their animals while they were away, including staying at their house in the process. I like to bring my own treats, so please let me know any favorite brands or dietary restrictions. I would like to meet your furry one before I take care of them so we can become familiar with one another, and to see if we click. Some animals don’t like some people, and that’s ok! I just wouldn’t like to cause your animal stress by taking care of them if they’re not a fan of me for any reason. I’ve RARELY had this happen with any animal, but it does happen to everyone at least once in life. I hope you let me love on your animal as much as I love on mine! I’m currently focusing on being a pet sitter full-time. My priority would be taking care of your animal whenever you need, whether it’s walking your dog or checking on your cat. I would not be able to take care of pets in my home unfortunately. But, I’ll make sure your pet’s needs come first when caring for them in yours. I regularly check food and water first, make sure to follow any instructions, and stay to socialize with them. Even cats! I can absolutely sit in your living room or kitchen for a while to keep your animal company. Sometimes they just need a little more time! I have my phone and plenty of books to keep me entertained if they just want to hang out or, even better, snuggle.

“This was my first experience with Rover. Thanks to Ana, it will not be my last. Since I got my first cat three years ago, I have limited my travel to short, in-state trips. I just didn't have anyone who I trusted with my cats, so I avoided long work trips or extended vacations. But that all changed when I found Ana. My kitties are looking forward to seeing her again, and I am very happy to be able to travel to important family events in the future. Ana is extremely detail-oriented, and conscientious about her job. When she came by for a pre-departure meet and greet, I thought that I had written down everything that she might need to know. Yet she still thought to ask about things that I had not considered. She offered to put my trash bin out so that my house did not look unoccupied. She offered to water my houseplants while I was away. She even offered to put food out for the neighborhood stray that I normally feed! I gave her a lot of information during that first meeting, and she remembered every single detail throughout my trip. Even though I'm a helicopter parent when it comes to my cats, I was totally at ease knowing that Ana was coming by daily to check in on them. Ana is compassionate and intuitive when it comes to interacting with pets, and my cats were happy to see her each day. Even my second cat, who is normally terrified of strangers, grew to like Ana. I highly recommend Ana. Even though her rate was a little higher than other nearby Rover providers who do drop-in visits, she is worth every penny. I look forward to working with her again in the near future.”

About: I’ve spent most of my life caring for dogs and have personally trained five dogs with different personalities, needs, and learning styles. Over the years, dogs have been much more than pets to me, they have been members of my family. Communication is a major part of the service I provide, so I enjoy sending regular photos, videos, and updates throughout their stay. I would rather communicate too much than leave a family wondering how their dog is doing. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable second home where dogs can relax and enjoy themselves while their family is away not an environment that feels like being placed in a kennel. I have a comfortable home with a fully fenced yard where dogs have room to play, explore, enjoy supervised outdoor time, or simply relax. I take a calm, patient, and structured approach to caring for dogs. I believe dogs thrive with a healthy balance of affection, freedom, exercise, positive reinforcement, and clear rules and boundaries. Structure should help a dog feel secure and understand what is expected of them without taking away their opportunity to be a dog. Understanding canine behavior and body language is especially important to me. I pay attention to the smaller signals dogs use to communicate whether they are excited, uncertain, overstimulated, uncomfortable, ready to play, or simply in need of some quiet time. Every dog has its own personality, history, routine, and comfort level, and I believe good care starts with respecting those differences. Charlie Girl is a happy, social dog who genuinely enjoys connecting and playing with other dogs. Even so, I never assume that two dogs will immediately be comfortable together. Introductions and interactions are handled thoughtfully and supervised, with each dog's behavior and comfort level determining how quickly they progress. I also make it a priority to follow the routines and expectations established by each dog's family, including feeding schedules, sleeping arrangements, walking routines, training cues, boundaries, and other care instructions. Consistency can make being away from home much easier for a dog. Most importantly, I take the responsibility of caring for someone else's dog seriously. These animals are members of their families, just as the dogs throughout my life have been members of mine. I want owners to leave knowing their dog is being watched closely, treated with patience and respect, given meaningful attention and enrichment, and welcomed into a home where their safety and well being come first. Regular photos, videos, and checkins are part of that commitment so you never have to wonder how your dog is doing.
