About: I have been dog setting for the past 23 years. It all started when I watched my boss' 3 chihuahuas when I was about 17 and then I just have had many request ever since. I have had the privilege of caring for many beloved pups. Throughout my pet-sitting days, I have provided a loving and safe environment for dogs of all shapes and sizes. My two personal dogs were an integral part of my life for 12 wonderful years. They both passed in the Summer of 2020. It took me awhile to get another dog, but I did finally get our Elvis (a bloodhound) in October 2022. He is almost 5 years old with a giant heart! He loves to have a fur-friend over and gets along with any age pup. I have a son who is 10 years old and absolutely loves helping out with the dogs. My son has learned so much about dogs and loves having them around as well. I also prioritize the emotional well-being of the dogs I sit for. I recognize the profound impact that loss and change can have on a dog’s mental health, and I strive to create a nurturing environment where they feel safe and supported. Through patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of canine behavior, I work to alleviate any anxiety or stress that may arise during their time with me. Above all, I approach dog sitting as a privilege and a responsibility. I hold myself to the highest standards of professionalism and compassion, ensuring that each dog receives the love and attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a pawsitive and enriching experience for both the dogs and their owners, fostering a sense of peace of mind for all parties involved. I am a stay at home dog-mom! I watch over other peoples dogs for a living. It is fur-ever evolving! That's why I created some different packages! Check them out! 🏠 In-Home Boarding Packages The Gold Standard For Your Furry Family ⭐ THE ELITE PACKAGE | $155/Night-includes up to 2 dogs. Vanessa is great with my dog, Cash. She's also very nice and easy to communicate with. She agreed to get together ahead of our first appointment so we could meet and make sure our dogs got along. She also sent several texts and pictures throughout the first day of day care which I definitely appreciated. Cash had a great time and was worn out when I picked him up. I highly recommend Vanessa.

We did our meet and greet last week with Jaylin and Charles and they were so kind and compassionate. Our sweet Oakley is a 6 month old rescue and super scared of people, noises and dogs. They made us feel so welcome. Today we took him back for his first daycare and she sent pictures of Charles hold him and him with another dog! I was so surprised that he opened up to them that quickly. You can tell their love of animals as soon as you meet them! Can't wait to have their help in socializing him and making him more confident and trusting. So glad we found them! Thanks to you both!

About: I’ve had a dog in our family most of my life and am the dog mom currently to a King Charles Cavalier which we raised from 8 weeks on. I love the love dogs give us and enjoy giving it back to them! I enjoy long walks on our local trail with our dog as well. I will send updates and pictures during your dogs time with me. My schedule is very flexible, changes each month and allows me to be home a lot. Your pet will not be left alone unless discussed ahead of time. My husband and myself both operate our Rover account and one of us will take great care of your pet. We live in an apartment complex with great walking areas, a fenced dog park, and steps away from the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Your dog will be loved and cared for in our place.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the genuine love and care I bring to every dog I meet. I see each pet as an individual with their own personality and needs, and I make it my priority to make them feel safe, happy, and loved—just like they would at home. I have two sweet rescue dogs of my own who are incredibly friendly with both people and other dogs. Living with them has taught me so much about patience, trust-building, and how to read a dog’s body language. It’s also given me real experience in creating a calm, playful, and secure environment, especially for dogs who may be shy, energetic, or still adjusting to new surroundings. Whether it’s playing fetch, going for walks, or simply being a calming presence, I put my heart into giving every pup the attention and affection they deserve. You can feel confident that your dog will be treated with kindness, respect, and lots of love while they’re with me. I work from home about 12 hours a week, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to fully focus on caring for dogs. My schedule allows me to provide consistent attention throughout the day—whether that means extra potty breaks, playtime, or just keeping a close eye on your pup to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. Because I’m home most of the day, I can easily adapt to each dog’s routine and needs. Whether your dog requires a little extra care, more frequent walks, or simply loves companionship, I’m here to provide a calm, loving environment with lots of one-on-one time. At home, we follow a balanced routine that includes a mix of long and short walks throughout the day to keep dogs active and happy. I also have access to a dog park in the apartment complex, which is great for safe playtime and socializing in a controlled environment. I live with my boyfriend, and while I’m the primary caregiver during the day, he also helps out with the dogs in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends. We both love spending time with animals, and your pup will receive plenty of attention, love, and care from the two of us throughout their stay. Inside, I love incorporating little training moments during the day to encourage good behavior—like practicing “sit,” “wait,” or calm greetings. It keeps their minds engaged and helps create a positive, structured environment. If your dog is crate-trained or feels more comfortable having their own space, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. I can provide crate time for rest, routine, or safety—whatever works best for your pup’s needs. Overall, I aim to create a peaceful, enriching, and loving home where every dog can feel secure and cared for.

About: We’re a happily married couple, and we both love dogs. We will take care of your pet as if it were our own child. I (Roman) grew up in a village and have always had dogs—usually at least three. The last time before I left my parents’ house, I was taking care of four dogs (one mixed-breed and three Labradors). I also looked after friends’ and relatives’ dogs—mostly Corgis. One of them was almost completely blind and elderly, so I have experience caring for older dogs and know how to give insulin injections. Anna (my wife) is a total dog mom—if she could, she’d give birth to a dog instead of a human, haha. She’s an experienced dog sitter and has been doing this professionally for the past 3 years. I'm always at home, while my wife is at work— sometimes for just four hours, sometimes a little longer. There's always someone at home. Your pet's comfort and safety are our top priorities. Since we don't have any pets of our own, your furry friend will receive our undivided attention and be the 'only child' in our home. We offer a calm, loving, and safe environment where your pup can relax and feel like royalty. They’ll have our full focus, plenty of cuddles, and a cozy space all to themselves!

Reagan was absolutely wonderful with Tia! ❤️ She kept her while we were in town for a wedding, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was incredibly responsive, kind, attentive, and clearly took great care of Tia. She even went above and beyond by dropping Tia off at our hotel after the wedding, which we really appreciated! I don’t trust many people with Tia, so finding someone I felt completely comfortable with meant so much to me. If I lived in Greenville, Reagan would absolutely be my regular sitter! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring, trustworthy, and dependable. Five stars all around! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Sans Souci on Rover is $26.75 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 553 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Sans Souci. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Sans Souci commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 553 sitters in Sans Souci, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
