“Ren is a delightful and reliable dog sitter! I was away for several week and I had peace of mind knowing my pups we in good hands with Ren. 10 out of 10 recommend Ren and look forward to booking again in the future!”

About: Can care for any type of cat personality, from love-y and playful to the skittish and scaredy. I also have experience administering medication for cats. Open to small dog care too! Graduating college going into working a freelance job, event-based so I have periods of free time and flexibility. Feel free to ask about my availability! I would care for your cat as if it was my own. I would clean the litter boxes and throw-up if your kitty is sick. I can administer pill and liquid medication for the mouth. Then I will also play with your cat as to make sure it gets its energy out, and even offer supervised outside time desired.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog walker! She took good care of my dog and was great with communication and sending me videos of my baby!! Definitely will be booking again!”

About: I’ve been a lifelong dog-lover who hasn’t had the chance until now to pursue my dream of working with dogs full-time! My love for dogs has always been a big part of my life. In college, I worked for an animal boarding and daycare facility, I’ve frequently dog sat for friends and family, I worked with a nonprofit who trains therapy and medical dogs in college, and I had a sweet Brittany Spaniel growing up and have been living life with my hound dog Maci for the last 11 years. I’m excited to see how I can be of help with your pets! I am currently free and flexible to care for your pet anytime of the week! I am available for boarding periodically throughout the week and weekends. I prefer to care for pets in their known environment, but I do have a fenced yard and am able to crate a dog if needed
“Allison is sweet and very kind. We felt comfortable with her and her communications. She followed our instructions for our dog (considerations for the heat, misting her down, checking her food and water, where to take her) and we know Gypsy was well taken care of. Recommend her and we'll book her again when we're back in the area.”

About: I’ve had numerous experiences with all kinds of animals. I’m a Retired RN and can give injections/meds to your sick/senior babies. I have lots of time to spend taking care of your babies. I retired this year and that allows me to be available 24/7. Also weekends and holidays are not a problem. Medical Care not an issue. I am available to stay overnight in your home if needed. I currently have 2 cats both Seniors and 2 dogs. I spoil them rotten as they should be.
“Jasmine was amazing with my two golden retrievers and their walks! One of my goldens is super stubborn and she was very patient and gentle with her. That same golden has hip dysplasia and she worked with me to get her comfortable on her walks. So glad I found her. Definitely booking again! ?”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my attention to detail, reliability, and genuine love for animals at every stage of life. I don’t just “watch” pets — I care for them as if they were my own. I understand that each animal has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to learn what makes them feel safe and happy. I have experience working with both young and senior pets. With puppies and young dogs, I am patient and consistent with basic training reinforcement, including potty routines, leash manners, and positive behavior habits. I know how important structure is during those early months, and I make sure to maintain the routine you’ve established. For senior pets, I provide gentle, attentive care and closely monitor mobility, medication schedules, and comfort needs. I understand that older animals often need extra patience, slower walks, and more frequent check-ins, and I’m comfortable administering oral medications if needed.

About: I've been caring for animals for over six years and have experience with a wide variety of pets. In addition to being a dedicated pet owner, I have hands-on experience as a veterinary technician, where I learned how to recognize signs of illness, safely handle animals, administer medications, and provide attentive, compassionate care. I've also provided pet sitting services for dogs, cats, and exotic pets, tailoring my care to each animal's unique personality and needs. Whether it's keeping energetic dogs active, making shy cats feel comfortable, or caring for reptiles, birds, or other exotic species, I prioritize safety, routine, and enrichment. I understand how important it is for pets to feel secure while their owners are away, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. My goal is to provide reliable, loving care so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in experienced and capable hands. Between being a full-time student and working part-time, I still have plenty of flexibility to care for your pets! My schedule allows me to be available throughout the week for drop-in visits, walks, and pet sitting, and I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests whenever I can! I'm a big believer that pets thrive on consistency, so I'll work with you to keep their routine as normal as possible while you're away. Whether your pet needs an early morning visit, dinner time cuddles, or anything in between, I'm happy to help! Your pet's happiness and safety will always be my top priority. I treat every home with the same respect and care that I would expect someone to show my own, and I take the time to learn each pet's routine so they can feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you're away. Whether it's sticking to feeding schedules, cleaning litter boxes, going on walks, or giving medications, I'll follow your instructions carefully and make sure your pet gets the attention, love, and care they deserve. I know every pet is different, so I'm happy to adapt to their personality, whether they want nonstop playtime, quiet companionship, or just someone to keep them company. I'll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. My previous veterinary technician experience allows me to recognize changes in behavior or health and stay calm if something unexpected comes up, giving you extra peace of mind. Above all, I want you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, happy, and being cared for like they're one of my own
About: I have three years of experience working at a dog rescue, where I took care of anywhere from 10 to 100 dogs and puppies at a time! I grew up on a small farm surrounded by cats, dogs, horses, goats and chickens, and I helped take care of them from the time I was able to. Now, I have no pets of my own, but I love and cherish being able to shower other people’s pets with love and attention! My work schedule is one week on, one week off, and I travel during work days, so I am only able to care for pets on my off days. I love pampering pets that I’m taking care of and making them feel cozy and at ease while their owner is away. I love taking dogs for walks and live in a fairly quiet neighborhood.
“Anna was superb! She was very caring and loving with our elderly dog. Also, because she is studying to be a physician, she was an excellent choice in pet sitters to help walk our dog with arthritis and provide him with eye medication. She was very thorough and professional at all times, and very friendly. She always kept her word and arrived early and spent extra time. Our little dog fell in love with her! She asked numerous questions and made sure she provided exactly the care that we were asking her to do for our dog. Her photos and descriptions of each of the walks with our dog were very helpful while we were out of state. This was our first time using Rover. Anna earned an A+ with us! She made us feel very comfortable in our absence. We would definitely use Anna again, and so would our dog Guinness!”

About: I absolutely love dogs and come from a family of dog lovers. For almost 40 years, I’ve adopted, rescued, and cared for dogs since I was a little girl. I’ve worked at the Humane Society as an adoption counselor, and I’ve babysat countless dogs for friends and family — caring for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My home is designed with dogs in mind. I have a very large, secure yard built so my dogs can’t get out and nothing else can get in. Inside, animals are treated like people — as part of the family. My own dog loves to nap in the sun and find cozy spots in every room, and your pup will feel just as welcome. I offer boarding, daycare, walks, hiking, and grooming add-ons like brushing and baths. You’ll receive daily photo updates, and I always follow feeding, medication, and routine instructions exactly. As an educator by trade and a compassionate individual, I bring patience, attentiveness, and a true passion for animals to every interaction. Whether your dog needs playful enrichment, gentle senior care, or just a safe, loving place to stay, I’d be honored to be their trusted sitter. I work full-time from home, so I’m here throughout the day and night to care for your pup. My large, secure backyard is always open, giving dogs the freedom to come and go as they please. Access to the backyard is available all day for the dogs and they can freely go in and out as needed. I have a safe and secure home where dogs are allowed on the furniture and in every room of the house. I do not smoke or do any drugs and will ensure the safety, love, and care of your dogs. My home is a quiet, calm, and serene environment.
About: I’ve had dogs all of my life, different breeds and sizes, I’ve helped with birth of puppies, nurture sick ones too. I am a dog adoption advocate. I am not working at the moment so my schedule is pretty open. I am currently looking for a job but not in a huge hurry. While waiting I will work at my dream job ☺️Dog sitting. I will provide for the needs and safety of your pets per client requirement with much love and kindness. Having a play time is also a must. 😊
About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 10 years and truly love spending time with animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I know every pet has their own personality, so I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm routine, I’ll provide dependable care and treat them like they’re part of my own family. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in caring and capable hands.🫶🏼 I work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to care for your pets. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and love while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. About: Hi, I’m a graduate college student at NMSU ! Majoring in environmental science hence the headline, therefore I love nature. I have been around dogs since the age of 6. My first dog was a Rottweiler and I loved him with all my heart until he passed of old age. Now I have 2 Havanesse, small and energetic and I love it. Dogs are a mans best friends and I can be your pets friend too!! Your dog and I will go to the park and play all day or just have a peaceful stroll. And if we have a sit-in the stomach rub will be endless along with some fun (no messing up the house of course;) ). I’m super friendly and personable so please don’t hesitate to contact me at any time with any questions. These are your dogs and I want to do everything I can for them. I’m currently back home from college with one more year left. So I have a pretty lenient job and will be able to adjust often. I prioritize the safety and well-being of pets by adhering to any specific care instructions provided by clients. This includes maintaining a clean and pet-friendly environment, following dietary guidelines, providing regular exercise and playtime, and ensuring constant supervision to prevent any accidents or mishaps.
About: Since I was in middle school, I was chosen as the neighborhood petsitter due to my responsible nature and love for animals. To be trusted with the care of a loved pet is the most honorable position I can think of and one that I hope to continue here in New Mexico. To keep an animal happy when their owner is away is something I pride myself in. I also have experience in dosing medicine for multiple types of animals. I'm a graduate student and TA at NMSU with flexible class schedules where I would be able to attend to the daily needs of the client's pets. Because I don't work outside of the University, there would seldom be a time that I would be unavailable for pet care needs. I have always adhered to the highest standard of the needs of an animal based on the human owner's desire and interactions with their pet. I am adaptable in a multitude of ways, including the needs of the animal I will be caretaking in their place of comfort instead of a new environment. I have a clean background check and pride myself in creating an atmosphere of trust and dependability.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
