About: I have taken care of many animals like cats, dogs, fish, chicken, hamsters, and a few others! Most of these were in my home throughout the years, and around four years ago I began sitting for friends and family. I am very dependable, punctual, and I love to spend time with animals. Making sure your animal gets all their needs met and have plenty of social time while you are away is my priority! I currently work part time as a server, but with a minimum two weeks notice I can work my schedule around your animals needs to give them the best care possible. I base my time spent at the house per the animals needs, but will visit at least 2-3 times a day for an hour. I cannot care for animals in my home as I am a college student in a small apartment and have an animal myself. However in clients home I tend to follow the clients instructions and base care around the animals attitude and needs. Every animal and person is different so it really just depends on your family! I also care very much about home and personal safety, this is a top priority.
“Lauren is all things one would ask for in a pet sitter - reliable, caring, kind, thorough, detail-oriented, a great listener, and excellent at her job! Thank you, Lauren, for making us feel comfortable leaving our guy at home. We know he was perfectly happy and at ease in your hands. :)”

“Anmei is amazing with my puppy, as a first time dog mom I completely trust her with him. She really cares for him as if he was her own and I couldn’t ask for anything more. He loves her too you will not be disappointed booking with Anmei.”

“Carla has been great as a recurring drop in walker/sitter for my pup, Gryffin. She sends plenty of pictures and detailed reports so I don't need to worry. Would highly recommend!!”

“Amber was amazing with my cat Pepper while I was away, she sent photos of him to ensure he was ok and went above and beyond when my stay was extended and I had to add an extra day. I would highly recommend her to all pet parents looking for a pet sitter!”

About: I have taken care of my friends pets while they were away for vacation, I would walk, feed, play, or just keep them company while their owner was not there. I am also employed at a part time job - but just let me know in advanced when you need me and we can work a schedule out <3 I have a labradoodle and my own cat at home that I have cared for my entire life and so I understand both the needs and proper care for them.
“We are so grateful to have found Dawn. She is wonderful with our senior cat and it was so refreshing to be able to get away for a few days and not worry about her. Excellent communication and above and beyond care of our beloved pet and our home. Much appreciated. Will definitely book again.”

“Josey was great!! Ziggy needed a friend to stop in while we were out of town and she visited as planned, but went above and beyond with communication and her friendliness with Ziggy. Looking forward to have Josey stay with Ziggy again!”

“Hope was great! She accepted the job last minute and won over our normally wary cat. We’re grateful for her level of communication and trustworthiness. Definitely recommend and would love to hire again next time we go away. Thanks!”

About: I have my own dog and cat, and I love animals. I love to spend time with them and bond with them! You can always find me cuddled up with my cat haha I'm taking a college class from home so I'm available pretty much whenever! If you need me to stay at home, I can definitely do that! Again, I have my own cat and dog and they are very friendly. I am committed to making sure your pets feel safe and comfortable.

“Jackie has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She replies instantly and keeps me updated. I am new to pet ownership and having someone look after them while I have to travel for work. She has been amazing every step of the way.”

“Coming to visit my 4 cats once a day worked out with multiple cat litters. However, they HID from Kate every day! All ended well and they came out glad to see me after 4 days. I appreciate that she tried and kept them well fed until I returned!”

About: My Schedule: I usually work Monday-Friday roughly 7-3 pm but I also work from home some days so feel free to reach out & I can try to accommodate! :) My Passion: I’ve had animals my entire life, oftentimes being the sole caregiver for 2 dogs and more recently learning how to aid my family’s senior dog who is disabled. I also aided a local dog business, ensuring they were taken care of and treated as my own while maintaining strong relationships and gaining their trust. I have a strong passion for all animals and cant wait to meet yours! My Interest: I love music, playing piano & singing especially, so expect your dog to be serenaded during our time together. I’m also an avid reader, a grad student, and a full-time non-profit professional. I love art as well so feel free to share your favorite painting. I work full time, ensuring our eastern shore neighbors are fed and taken care of, but love my flexible schedule to ensure everyone animal is well taken care of. I’m very respectful with client’s space and aim to ensure it is well maintained as well as providing the best possible care and experience for the animal.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Salisbury
Dawn was an excellent sitter. It was our first time using her services. She took time with our pet so they could get used to her and warm up to her. I think by the end of the booking our pet was doing well with Dawn. I will be retaining her services again the next time we go out of town.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Salisbury. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
