“Ann is a very, friendly, warm and accommodating person. A perfect dog sitter. My lab Marcy had a wonderful stay at her lovely home. We received numerous updates, photos and videos of Marcy during her stay. I highly recommend her!”

“Terry and Kristal took care of our three dogs and two cats for a week while we were out of town. They took excellent care of them and provided me with pictures throughout the week. Terry and Kristal responded promptly to messages throughout the week and I feel that they genuinely cared about the wellbeing of our three dogs and two cats. They are definitely going to be our go to people!”

“My pup has at doggie day care with Hannah and Co. for a while now. Hannah is so caring and Penny has such a good time. She used to run to the fence when I left but now she just runs after Liam. Kudos to Hannah!!”

“Our senior dog, Maggie, loved her stay with Laura and her family. Laura sent us pictures and kept us informed on how Maggie was doing with her. I would definitely use Laura again! Maggie felt like she was on a vacation!”

“Sara was amazing! This was our first time leaving Koda with a sitter, and Sara made the whole process stress-free. The updates/photos were reassuring and allowed us to feel at ease knowing Koda was well taken cared of and having a great time. We highly recommend her!”

“Raquel was absolutely great with Denver and Butterball. She loves on them like they were her own. She sent lots of pictures of them relaxing or then having outside time. My favorite thing was that she has an entire area for them in her house so they aren't in a crate. She made sure my boys were safe and not get hurt. I would definitely recommend her and will use her services again. Thanks Raquel.”

“Wendy and her family took amazing care of our little dog. She was very organized and responded quickly to my booking request and text messages. It’s so nice to go on vacation and know that your pet is well and happy.”

“I have used Kristen twice. I have been extremely pleased! My dog absolutely loves his time with Kristen. I love the updates from her. It makes me feel better knowing he is in great hands while I’m away from him! I highly recommend Kristen!”

About: I have been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and have been dog-sitting for the past 4 years! I also have some experience with cat-sitting. I have a mini goldendoodle named Cody that I trained with my sister. I go to Clemson University, and we have a golden doodle living with us at our house!! We let her out every morning and I am home by 2pm every day to hang out with her! We have a fenced in yard. My dog sleeps in bed with me, which is fine if that’s how your dog sleeps best, but I will also be happy to crate your dog at my home or your home! I am very flexible and want to make sure I follow your regular routine as best as I can!
“Jay was an amazing sitter for almost a week for my dog. She sent videos and pictures of him throughout each day and made him feel right at home. She was even thoughtful enough to wash his harness when it rained. It was so comforting to know he was in such good hands. I highly recommend Jay and definitely hope to have her watch my sweet Leo again!”

About: I have always lived in a house filled with animals inside and out. We primarily had dogs for pets and would usually at least have 2, from puppies to seniors I’ve loved and cared for all sizes and would love to care for your fur babies as well! There is no size too big or too small, I adore all very much and know how worrying it is to leave your pet in someone else’s care, I assure you they would be loved very much while in my hands! I work from home so I have plenty of time and availability to spend and care for your fur baby while you’re away! I do have my step children every other weekend so communication will be key if your pet is not child friendly and if your schedule will work for me, but I am open to working with you as much as I can! I currently have 2 indoor dogs, both crate and (mostly) potty trained. I have a mid sized boxer and a small mix breed, they are both girls that are dog and kid friendly and as sweet as can be. I have plenty of yard space(not fenced), a quiet road to walk them on, and a runner for solo outside/potty time. I do live in a dog neighborhood with lots of distractions so your fur baby would be kept on a leash at all times when outdoors
“Our first time using Rover and Lauren made it seamless and easy. Loved the meet and greet to ensure everyone was compatible. Very fast communication and I felt very safe and confident in our puppy staying with Lauren and her family. Highly recommend.”

About: I am a dependable and attentive, pet lover, with experience, caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I understand that every pet has their own routine and comfort needs, and I take pride and making them feel safe, love, and stress-free, while their owners are away. My ex experience includes feeding, walking, administering basic medications, cleaning litter boxes, playtime, overnight care, and maintaining consistent schedules. I’m comfortable with energetic pets, senior pets, and animals that may need extra patience or attention. I treat every pet like they’re my own, always focus on providing reliable care, clear, communication, and plenty of affection. Whether your pet loves long walks, cuddle time, or just a calm companion, I’m happy to tailor care to fit their needs. I work 8-4 Monday through Friday, I already have a dog and would work any pet into our routine during the week. I can do stop-ins before and after work, and my weekends are very flexible for full attention on pet care. I have a fenced yard, lots of comfy places to lay, a screened in porch for shaded relaxation. My two cats have grown up with dogs their whole life and just mind their business, they may even play with your pet if they are in the mood.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
