Tara was great with Trapper. She was super flexible and easy to work with and sent several pics so we knew he was having fun and being well taken care of. We weren’t sure if he’d be ok playing with her dogs, but they were super sweet and immediately accepted him as part of the group. He had a blast while we were away.

Ann is absolutely wonderful! Riggs was taken care of so well. I received pictures from Ann and texts to keep me updated throughout. From start to finish Ann was welcoming and it was quite obvious Riggs loves her and her family!

Great experience. Our first time leaving our 1 1/2 year old pup with anybody she didn't know so were a bit nervous. From the updates it sounded like it went great and we picked our pup back up happy and tired. Hosts were great communicators and great at handling our little guy who can be a bit shy, would 100% book again !

About: I have always lived in a house filled with animals inside and out. We primarily had dogs for pets and would usually at least have 2, from puppies to seniors I’ve loved and cared for all sizes and would love to care for your fur babies as well! There is no size too big or too small, I adore all very much and know how worrying it is to leave your pet in someone else’s care, I assure you they would be loved very much while in my hands! I work from home so I have plenty of time and availability to spend and care for your fur baby while you’re away! I do have my step children every other weekend so communication will be key if your pet is not child friendly and if your schedule will work for me, but I am open to working with you as much as I can! I currently have 2 indoor dogs, both crate and (mostly) potty trained. I have a mid sized boxer and a small mix breed, they are both girls that are dog and kid friendly and as sweet as can be. I have plenty of yard space(not fenced), a quiet road to walk them on, and a runner for solo outside/potty time. I do live in a dog neighborhood with lots of distractions so your fur baby would be kept on a leash at all times when outdoors

About: I grew up on a farm caring for all types of animals. I’ve always had to make sure all of them were feed and water. I’ve dog sit for family friends before while they went out of town and i had to go to their house and feed, water them, take them out to play and use the bathroom, gave them baths if they need them. I took care and dog sit all kinds of animals and sizes, from puppies to older dogs, and even cats too, all up to farm animals. I’m a stay at home mom to a 2 year old. I have a 3 year old male dog that’s unaltered. I’m available anytime to dog sit or board. I have a house with a nice little yard for your fur babies to run and play! I’m always going outside every 2-3 hours almost to walk my dog. Of course I will walk your dog first because I know my dog can hold it until afterwards

My two dogs loved it, they had plenty of space to roam & play fetch. They were so excited to see us, as if to say “we had a great time”. Such a great location, 2 fenced acres to run & play! Pepper sent pictures & video, great comfort. We were traveling to Greenville for a conference & had no idea what to expect. Very happy.

Katherine was a Godsend! I had several last minute changes of plans and needed someone to care for my fur babies for me and like the Last Daughter of Krypton, Super woman Katherine came to the rescue. As a dog behaviorist she managed to keep my hyperactive husky and my non social Lab Heeler mix both exercised and interacting with other doggos! I trust her completely with my pack.

Sylvie was absolutely incredible! She's a reliable, flexible, and dedicated dog sitter. My rescue dog is usually nervous around new people, but she was so calm when meeting Sylvie and staying at her house. She felt right at home and had a relaxing vacation :) I definitely would book again!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Walhalla home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
