“Rebecca came to my home to watch my 4 Shih Tzu’s. She gave me daily feedback and picture with updates. I felt really secure leaving my precious babies with her. I will definitely be using her again.”

“Josh was great with our dogs. We were able to enjoy our weekend away without worrying about them. He messaged us if he had any questions regarding their care and even stayed a little late for us to ensure they weren’t in their crate for long. He even cleaned up the house and vacuumed, which was not expected. We will definitely be using him our next trip!”

“Adrian was so amazing with our two pups! Our sweet babies can get very anxious but he kept them so calm and happy while we were away. He sends THE BEST pictures of your babies to update you. We will definitely be booking with him again.”

“Another great stay by Louann. All the pets relaxed and stress free in her care. She vacuumed and it was cleaner than when she arrived! Glad I've already got 2 spots booked coming up. ”

“Amy is really amazing! We’ve experienced horror stories with other pet sitters but you have nothing to worry about with Amy. We could tell she truly loved our pets and would send us pictures on a daily basis. She was on time and quick to reply to us. We will definitely be repeat customers. Highly recommend!”

“Ashley did a great job watching our dog, Angel, while we were on vacation. She kept the house spic-n-span, did the dishes, stripped the bed, took out the trash, etc. She followed all the directions we left her and was responsive when contacted. We would definitely hire her again if needed.”
“I can’t recommend Alexa enough! We were already out of state when a severe snowstorm was forecasted. She ended up staying snowed in at our house for several days to take care of our pets. My pets love her, even my very shy cat! I really appreciate how great she is at communicating. She kept me updated with pictures and videos, and made sure to let me know her plans and timing. On top of everything, she left the house in fantastic condition. I’m so thankful for her and would absolutely trust her with my pets again.”

“We left our girls with Kali for 8 days and she was amazing! Sending us daily pictures of the girls and updates on their well being. This was the first time we left them for this prolonged period of time so having Kali send us text messages on how they were doing was very reassuring.”

“Jessica was absolutely amazing!! She sent us updates multiple times a day and has amazing communication. It helped us relax on vacay knowing she was taking such good care of our babies. Im recommending her to everyone I know that will be going out of town. Thank you so much Jessica ur the best!!!”

“Tom is a gem and we were lucky to find him after our relocation to East Texas. We left our home knowing that our babies were in good hands. Tom was respectful of our property and we were very comfortable being away. It was a fantastic experience.”

About: I grew up around dogs, cats, turtles, rats, reptiles, insects, and definitely a few more I don’t remember. I can help with whatever is needed. I’m around for the summer and have no obligations other than my dog at home, my family is happy to help watch him while I work. I’ll care for your pets however you need. They’re picky? Don’t like people? High energy? I’ve got it. I worked as a dog trainer/groomer for two years and have experience with all temperaments.

“Tamera was great and our fur babies were well taken care of. This was our first time with a home sitter and our first time using Tamera. She was attentive and provided us with regular updates and pics. We will definitely continue to work with her in the future!”

About: I have worked in a mixed animal clinic for 3 years. I have a degree in equine business with preVet qualifications. I have taken care of pets and livestock since I could walk. I have experience with the youngest to senior pets. I’m currently available before work and after work to check in on your pets! I’m used to all different kinds of animals as well as several different needs. My dog is fully crate, leash, off-leash, and car trained and loves to play. I can crate your dog and give it the best care and attention just like mine gets! I have petsitted for multiple friends and family while they’re out of town.
“Fabi was great at communicating with us about our pets and their needs! We often got pictures and updates during our time away. She prioritized our fur babies even during the holidays. Overall I think our pets enjoyed having her! ☺️”

About: I have experience with house sitting both large and small dogs and making sure they get plenty of exercise and care. I also can do plant care as well I currently do doordash and art commissions from home so I have pretty open availability right now! I do have two cats at home so I still need to check in on them as well. I always make sure everything is tidy and that each pet gets equal amount of care. Set daily and weekly routines for them and always check over them to make sure there's nothing abnormal.

About: I have a wide array of experience with caring for dogs and cats—from the corgi puppy who barks through the night to the one eyed 18 year old deaf and blind Shih Tzu who just needed love and my current 9 year old rescue who loves cuddles and walks. I have experience administering medication, working with tricky meal routines, cleaning and sanitizing after potty accidents, and giving lots of love and pets. I am a teacher at a local high school and am free all day every day during the summer and before 8:00 am and after 4:30 pm on weekdays during the school year as well as full availability on the weekends. My pets are an integral part of my family and I start and end the day with a dog walk. I have a fenced backyard. There IS a pool, but I also have a 10x10 cage back there for potty breaks if you have a water loving dog that you don’t want in the pool. I have my own four legged crew: Ebby the funny fat cat and Teddy the sweet rescue dog. We do have stairs in our home but if you have an older dog that struggles with arthritis, I can stay downstairs with them while they are in my home.

FAQs for House Sitting - Sadler
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 590 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sadler. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sadler walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sadler maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sadler choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sadler. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 88% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
