“We had just recently found out our dog Henry was diabetic and needed insulin shots twice a day. This was just shortly after losing our other dog, Haley to liver cancer so we were very nervous pet parents and had never needed a pet sitter before. Finding Emily to help with Henry while I needed to be out of town for a week was the best thing that could have happened. She responded to the request right away and Henry loved her! I was very confident he would be in good hands while I was gone and was 100% right. Her check in updates and photos were wonderful. Loved the notes about the visits and seeing Henry looking so happy in the included photos. She was able to add extra visits at the last minute when i couldn't make it home on time. I am so grateful we found her and will definitely reach out again whenever we need help with Henry. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing help with their pets. She is awesome!”

About: As an active, playful person myself, I want to give your dog a space to get some wiggles out and enjoy the day, rain or shine. I’m an ELA teacher on summer break, and I’d love to spend time walking and caring for your dogs during the hours I’d normally be teaching. As a human being who values quiet as well as activity, my priority is making sure your dog feels at peace around me as we spend time together and find adventure on our walks. My dog loves to sit by me on the floor for a while after getting back from a good walk :) I also focus on making sure I maintain the rhythms and routines to which your pet is already accustomed, giving them a safe space even with someone new to their life.

About: My family always had a pet dog. As a kid I would feed and walk dogs in the neighborhood while they were out of town. As I grew older I would stay at family or friend's homes if they went out of town. I'm in search of a similar situation in South Bend - dog walking and light housework included! Weekdays I can stop in and let the dog(s) out for bathroom breaks. On weekends/evenings I can stay at your home so that the dog is familiar and will make myself available 100% during that time. I prefer to stay or drop in to my client's home. I find that the dog is more familiar/comfortable this way too. I am happy to do a test run so that everyone feels comfortable/familiar!
