One of my kitties ate all the food left in her automatic feeder (knocked it over ugh) and they were not going to have enough food to last until we came back, so she went to the store and picked up more food for them!! This was just shortly after losing our other dog, Haley to liver cancer so we were very nervous pet parents and had never needed a pet sitter before. Finding Emily to help with Henry while I needed to be out of town for a week was the best thing that could have happened. She responded to the request right away and Henry loved her! I was very confident he would be in good hands while I was gone and was 100% right. Her check in updates and photos were wonderful. About: I have had pets since I was 4 years old. Growing up on a farm, I learned to take care of animals from a very young age. Additionally, I spent a lot of my high school years pet sitting for neighbors, family friends, and friends of friends! I have had many dogs of many different breeds and ages. I tend to be an active person, so walking and playing with my pets to ensure their exercise is something I prioritize. I’m very good at adapting to pets different personalities and making them as comfortable as possible. I work 5 days a week but on a hybrid schedule- 3 days in office, 2 days working from home. My hours are 9-3, so I have plenty of time during the week to love on your pet! Additionally, my weekends are free. Though I do not have any pets currently, I have an apartment with plenty of room, outside space, and live directly across from a huge, gated dog park— which is friendly to all sizes of dogs. Additionally, I live right next to tons of walking trails, perfect for those pets who love their walks! If your pup is needing to be crated, I can easily make that happen, as well as anything else your pet needs!

About: I stand out from other sitters because I bring a rare combination of veterinary training, hands‑on clinical experience, and a lifetime of caring for animals of all sizes. I am a veterinary nurse graduate from Marian University Plymouth 2026, which means I approach every pet with a strong understanding of animal health, behavior, and safety. Alongside my education, I’ve worked as a veterinary assistant in both large and small animal medicine, and during my several externships at Emergency, Specialty Hospitals, Private Practice and currently working at a veterinary clinic. I like too follow the pet’s normal routines as closely as possible — from feeding and medication schedules to preferred walking routes and bedtime habits — because familiar patterns help reduce stress. I treat every home with the same respect I’d want for my own. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, enrichment, and reassurance so they feel relaxed even when their family is away. About: My family always had a pet dog. As a kid I would feed and walk dogs in the neighborhood while they were out of town. As I grew older I would stay at family or friend's homes if they went out of town. I'm in search of a similar situation in South Bend - dog walking and light housework included! Weekdays I can stop in and let the dog(s) out for bathroom breaks. On weekends/evenings I can stay at your home so that the dog is familiar and will make myself available 100% during that time. I prefer to stay or drop in to my client's home. I find that the dog is more familiar/comfortable this way too. I am happy to do a test run so that everyone feels comfortable/familiar!

Your pet won't be left alone for long periods and will have someone around to make them feel comfortable and cared for while they're away from home. About: Your pet is welcome in my home! They will get lots of TLC, play time, feeding, walking & love. My house is small but live on 2 acres in the country. My yard is not fenced so I walk your pets on a leash & there are trails in the woods where they love to walk too. I also have a tie out if they dont do well on a leash & some are fine to free roam but they are never left unattended. I can take 2 small to medium dogs or 2 large or 1 giant dog. I will also transport your pet(s) to & from your home if needed. This will be an additional fee. I have been professionally petsitting for the past 17 years. References are supplied upon request. Any cancellation less than 7 days before stay begins will result in no refund provided.

I’m also able to accommodate each dog’s usual feeding, potty, and sleeping schedule so their routine feels as normal as possible while you’re away. I want every dog staying with me to feel safe and comfortable in my home. I have a fully fenced backyard for secure outdoor time and two friendly large dogs of my own. I also have two cats who stay in their own separate room while I’m boarding dogs. I’m happy to crate your pup if that’s part of their normal routine, and I always follow any instructions you leave for me.
