“Hannah was fantastic. She was on time and took very good care of my cats. My cats can be skittish with new people. They were very comfortable and came to her with no problem. With each visit she took the time to sit with them and give them the attention they needed. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Elizabeth just watched our cat for the first time for several days, and it couldn’t have gone better! All instructions specific to our cat were followed, we got great photos from during the visits, and the litter box was so clean when we got home! Our cat also seemed very happy with the experience. We are looking forward to working with Elizabeth again the next time we are away.”

“Sabita went above and beyond to help us. When our other sitter ended up going to the emergency room, Sabita responded to my panicked Rover message within 2 hours, and made time for my pets. She was communicative, punctual, and followed our directions. She additionally boarded our dog for a few hours during a home sale Open House, then helped find the escaped cats (loose in the house following the Open House) and still came back for a night time visit. She let us know that there was a leak in the kitchen, and helped lay out towels and a bin to catch water. Sabita couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. We’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Maria was wonderful with our two dogs. She followed our instructions perfectly. Our dogs felt comfortable with her, too. She was very professional, too. I highly recommend her.”

“Emily did a fantastic job dropping in for my cat Mika while I was away. She made sure to send me daily updates and pictures with how Mika was doing. Mika is typically hides while visitors are in the house, but over they days she warmed up to Emily and gladly accepted treats. I will most certainly use Emily again to watch over Mika.”

About: I have had dogs, cats, birds my entire life. I have baby sat my friends dogs and cats, I love caring for animals of all sizes and ages. I’m currently working part time and on my own schedule so my availability is pretty open for your pets needs! Also have my own mode of transportation. I have a fenced in yard for my dog. And I have two indoor cats that are strictly inside. They get along great with my dog. But we also have plenty of space in the home to keep them separated if needed. All of our pets are healthy and go to the vet regularly. We have a large home with plenty of space for all our fur babies!

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats for over 5 years, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors. I offer dependable, gentle care tailored to your pet’s needs—walks, feeding, medication, and more. I treat every pet like my own and understand the importance of trust & communication. Whether you're away for a few hours or days, you’ll have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is safe, happy, and loved. I work part-time and attend school in the evenings, which gives me plenty of availability during the day and weekends for pet sitting and drop-in visits at your home. Whether it's a midday walk or keeping them company while you're away I’ll be happy to help! I only care for pets in their own home, where they feel safe, familiar, and relaxed. I follow all care instructions closely—whether it’s feeding, walking, giving medication, or maintaining routines. I always respect your home, lock up securely, and make sure your pet feels calm and loved while you're away. I send regular updates to give you peace of mind and treat every animal as if they were my own.

“Sophia was so easy to work with and my pup really liked her. She walked her each day and sent pictures to update us. We had some flight delays due to weather and Sophia was very accommodating. I would highly recommend her!”

About: As a dog lover, I care about the safety and happiness of your pet. I will always go out of my way to make sure an animal is comfortable and cared for. Since I adopted my chihuahua with an attitude almost 5 years ago, I've learned to understand and respect boundaries. I have cared for friends' dogs of all breeds when they are away and I have also fostered a couple of dogs. I would love to spend some time with your pet! I am a graphic designer by day, but I work from home so my schedule is fairly flexible. I will be able to care for your pet in the late afternoons or evenings, and sometimes on weekends, especially Sundays! I follow instructions thoroughly and respect your space, as well as your dog's boundaries. I understand that I am entering your pet's home. My communication with owners is important to me, and I can send updates and photos when I am with your pet if requested.

“Bridget took very good care of my cat, Marley, while I was away for a week. She kept me updated with information on what she did and how Marley was doing. She also included multiple pictures for each visit, which was very nice. I definitely recommend Bridget if you are looking for someone to look after your pet while you are away!”

About: I have two German Shepherds, one Belgian Malinois, one Shepsky, and this Jack Russell mix that completes this motley crew. I am a nurse who finds solace and stress relief in spending time with and caring for animals, especially dogs. I’d love to help you out with your pups if they need walks or playtime. I have cared for medically fragile dogs in the past and will follow your, or the vets, instructions as needed. I have over one acre of land for your dogs to play if they are to board in my home. I am home most of the time in the summer. If you have any questions, just ask! I’m a school nurse now, so I’m off during the summer months and holidays. I run errands sometimes during the day, or step out to walk dogs. I’m not gone for long. My schedule will change during the school year, but I will be home late afternoons and weekends. If I’m dropping in only, I’ll play with your pup and clean up any messes they’ve made or follow your instructions. If I’m taking them for a walk, I take a few minutes to get to know them if they haven’t met me before or play to say hi. Water bowls are cleaned and refilled before I leave. Big dogs subject to bloat - I let them calm down if panting after a walk before watering/feeding. If they’re in my home, they’re treated like royalty along with my pack. Introductions are done outside so that there’s no tension. Everyone is playing and the meeting is casual. I look to you for information on their personalities and care. I have an invisible fence for my dogs. If your dog is familiar and trained, I can provide a collar. I’m also experienced and trained with the e collar if that’s how your pup was trained. It will never be used as punishment.

About: I grew up with dogs. I’ve been around dogs my entire life. I love caring for them they’re my favorite animal. I helped my sister when her dog gave birth both times. I do this full time. I am always home. There is a dog park across the street from my house so they can run around if they would like. I have my own bowls, crates and doggy beds. I have lots lots of toys as well so your dog will always comfortable with me.

About: My family and I have been taking care of dogs on and off for 15 years. Our dog has had two litters totaling 23 (Creampuff Labradoodle is the breeder) which we have hosted in our home as they grew up. We love nature, being outdoors, and all things animal related! We host play dates at our home often and our pup enjoys the company. Things to note: we are a busy household and have three children. We are in and out throughout the day but never for long periods of time when watching pups. Visiting dogs must be comfortable around my dog and children. I will always do a meet and greet before taking a dog in. Must know basic training skills and be clean upon arrival, and be house trained. Things to bring for day care/boarding: Bed, water and food bowls, crate. If a crate is not an option then we can use our gated corral. They are able to have free rein over house, I am fine with that but as a safety precaution or for use when we leave I prefer to have an option to contain the pups. I have toys, towels, and treats. If any signs of aggression are shown or excessive behaviors I will ask if I can gently train your dog with a sound device. I have used this on my own dog and it works great as a non invasive tool if unpredictable circumstances arise. Our back yard is fenced and we take extra care at our front door and can block the foyer with an extra gate for safety. I own a photography business so I make my own schedule. If I am away from the house, it is not for long at all and I do all my editing from my home office. I am flexible and accommodating to various needs. I have a fully fenced back yard. We have a gate for leaving uncreated dogs in if we run out for a bit. It can block off the foyer area or be set up by the deck door for views of the yard.

About: I’ve cared for dogs my entire life, and just recently raised my very own puppy Paris who is 15 months old. I can specialize in training puppies and understand the care that these pups require. I am currently a college student with full time availability on Friday-Sunday, and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. I have my own pup, named Paris who is my best friend in the world. She comes with me everywhere and is extremely friendly and would love to tag along for some short visits or walks! In my home I have my own pup, a miniature dachshund named Paris. I have a fully fenced in private unit rooftop with a turf green area for the pups and tons of outdoor toys and balls. For pee pad training, I have a designated area with extra pee pads inside of my apartment. I also live 2 blocks from Central Park and Carl Schurz Park so very accessible with dog parks and greenery.

About: I happened to work as Sales & Social Media Coordinater for a dog training school a few years back, and that experience changed my whole outlook on how we care for our pets! The dog trainers I created content for taught me about positive reinforcement and reward-based methods in the process. Since moving to a different field I’ve used those skills to handle, walk, and petsit every animal from bearded dragons to cats on the side in a way that’s fun for everyone involved. Animals are my happy place & I’d love to share that joy with your family! I work 9AM to 6:15PM most days, so I am the perfect candidate for your morning and evening walks as well as overnight stays! I can do afternoon Drop-Ins for Essex County residents as well. It’s also no problem for me to house-sit and commute to work from your location. I’m very flexible - please contact me to find a schedule that works for you! I do not offer boarding services in my own home at this time, but I will always make sure I leave my client’s home as I left it when I visit and care for their beloved one 🐾

Jillian S.
“We always felt confident that our pooch Gracie was in great and caring hands with Jillian and her family. Scheduling and communication was quick and easy and Gracie came home happy!”

Katrina D.
“Katrina is a loving and devoted dog mom. Paris is her world she takes her everywhere she goes and they are truly a bonded pair. Paris is well taken care of and happy. I would trust a dog or pet in Katrina’s care she treats them like her children.”

Arianna P.
“Ari has cared for my two cats multiple times. While my partner and I go away for weekend, or sometimes week long, vacations, Ari has properly managed feeding, playing, and cleaning up after our cats perfectly while maintaining cleanliness in the home (ex. cleaning up litter or hairballs.) multiple times. In times of emergency, Ari has been perfectly capable of taking our cats to the vet, and I would entrust her to do so. There was one instance where one of our cats got sick (vomiting) but luckily it wasn't a situation where she had to take her over. Still, Ari handled the situation very well. Knowing Ari for about 12 years now, I know she LOVES animals. She was always talking about the dogs, chickens, peacocks, and rabbits on her family's farm. She also used to take care of my late bunny for me on occasion. She's very gentle and empathetic. You absolutely will not be disappointed choosing Ari, especially if you have communicated special requests clearly.”
