About: We have had pets in my family my entire life.. Started off with a cat, then two. My older sister begged for a dog and we finally got one. Now my parents have two dogs, and one cat. We've had birds, fish, guinea pigs, frogs, and a bearded dragon... I recently moved out of my parents house and am craving the love from pets. I used to help my aunt care for her cats when she got older. I would pet sit for friends and neighbors growing up and Rover is allowing me to get back into that. I take myself for walks because I'm not good at sitting still and they would be much more enjoyable with a pal! I am working remotely and part time. I am a social worker so I meet with clients via tele-health. I do have a set schedule, but it allows for flexibility and I am not currently accepting new clients so this won't change much. I am renting a house so cannot accept pets into it- as the home owners trusting me with their indoor and outdoor cats. I have always been very careful in other people's homes- trying not to leave a trace- unless it is a note about how things went!
About: My name is Stuart, I am relocating to the area as I am starting a position at Albany Medical Center (AMC) in October. As I wait to begin my next chapter, nothing would make me more happy than to spend time with animals! I have always had a knack for the outdoors and have always had a soft spot for animals. I am an avid runner and am almost always be found running or hiking. I can guaranteed your dog will get the exercise and care he/she needs under my supervision. I have experience volunteering at the Lake Placid Vet as-well as volunteer experience at the Saranac Lake Animal Shelter. If I am not working at AMC, I am free on both weekdays and weekends and I’m flexible to work around schedules. I have a three-story townhouse apartment. There is fenced in dog parks within the complex for easy bathroom visits as well as prolonged paved trails right next to my apartment that go into the woods for longer walks in the evening around lunchtime and in the morning. Dog Gates secure the dog within our second floor, preventing entry to third floor bedrooms and first floor mudroom. Dogs will have eyes on them at all times when not with owner.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life and just the past few years started pet sitting! The families I sit for always know they can rely on me and loving their animals! I’m currently working part time at a salon but it is flexible and can stop by every 2-4 hours! I also am willing to do over nights depending on location might affect price! Any instructions left for me will always be taken care of, if you prefer walks or just being let out in the yard either works!

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
