About: I have had animals since I was very young so lots of experience. Have owned 3 rescue dogs who are just like members of my family. Recently, I have been helping friends with their animals when they vacation and am looking to extend my client group to the local area. I am very active so walking dogs is very enjoyable for me. I am free most mornings and nights and have longer breaks during my work day that would allow flexibility for drop ins and walks all week. I am able to come to your home and provide for your pet's needs including walks, feeding, potty breaks etc. I've even been known to clean a litter box or two. Can provide references upon request.

Emily responded quickly to my request for daycare and we did a meet & greet the day before to make sure my dog Wolfie and her two dogs Gus & Bailey got along. It was perfect, all was good. The actual day of daycare Wolfie couldn’t wait to get inside Emily’s house! Wolfie played a lot and was very chill/tired for the evening. Emily is very nice and took great care of my pup! Highly recommend. Thanks Emily!!

About: I've cared for cats and dogs my own as well as other owners, for the last 20-plus years I also have experience with other kinds of animals. I protect animals fiercely and I am extremely receptive of detail and specifics that any pet owner may have for me. I have varied availability throughout the week and weekend. Although I have another job, and have a family, I still have flexibility to do pet care. :-) I care for my own animals deeply in one of my top priorities is meeting their needs. I probably even go above and beyond for someone else's pet as I understand that someone else is putting their fur babies in my care. I appreciate good communication and I pay attention to details that a pet owner may have for me.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family since before I could drive. You name it; dogs, cats, rabbits, chinchillas - I’ve watched them. So if you have other animals that need care, the more the merrier! I love dogs and will be as excited to give your dog a walk as they are! I can give references phone numbers upon request. I have helped train dogs and puppies throughout the years. I may even be able to teach your dog a new trick 😉 I have great patience and a calm, easy-going nature. My husband and myself have opened our home with a very large fenced in backyard to welcome your dogs. Between the two of us, your dogs will feel right at home. My husband is also certified in dog massages (yes it’s a thing! 😅) so if you have a pup with joint or mobility issues, he can assist with that as a bonus! If you are welcoming me into your home, I will be sure it looks just as good as when you left it in my care. Please send me a request to chat about your furry family member - I look forward to meeting you! I currently work part-time and my husband also has a flexible schedule to ensure your dogs have the attention they need during their stay with us. We have a comfortable environment with a large fenced in backyard for your dog to play in and have frequent potty breaks. If your dog needs their own space, we have extra rooms in the house that can be their own during their stay.

We are looking to find someone to board Ollie with for weekends. To start him out slow (he has separation anxiety), we had a Meet and Greet, a short (3hr) stay and later, a full day stay. Julie was clear that her dog Zilla's comfort with Ollie was a priority, which I fully support. I won't want to trust my dog to someone who isn't looking out for ALL the dogs involved. Julie was very responsive with messages, showed us around her home and yard and was generally very calm and patient. While the dogs didn't end up getting along well enough for this to work out long term, Ollie warmed up to Julie and was definitely as calm as I've seen him after being left.

Last minute, but with wonderful communication and top care. I got lots of photos and updates on my old girl. She has separation anxiety so probably not the easiest. But Taylor and her husband are lovely people and took good care of her for the evening! Many thanks❤️

Hanna watched my Kira today. She sent me pictures and assured me that Kira was having a great time. She has a nice fenced yard and her dog Sadie is so sweet! Sadie also has the same amount of energy as my dog, they played well together. Kira is wiped out from today’s play day and can’t wait to see Hanna and Sadie again next week!

About: I am a previous dog owner and current cat mom. I grew up watching dog and cat training shows on TV and going to in person purebred dog and cat show events. I enjoy spending my time with furry friends. I'm a in-home caregiver to my mom so I have lots of time to take care of your pet. I have weekly events on Sundays and Wednesdays, but can easily work around those times. I have a long line for when your pet is outside and lots of patio seating to supervise and play with your pet the whole time. I also have a crate for indoor use.

Brenda and her girls are dog whispers. They collected our dog, who has bad separation anxiety and he instantly warmed to them, which never happens! They shared lots of photos of him too! When they dropped him off, he was in a happy playful mood, so we knew he had a great time!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ross Crossing commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 324 sitters in Ross Crossing, 83% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
