“Heather was excellent! She did drop in visits for our elderly dog. She walked her, fed her and gave her lots of love! Very reliable and was able to fill in last minute. Would definitely recommend and will use her again.”

“Katrina was wonderful with my kitty cat Thelma. I was nervous about leaving for a week, but she provided me with such a peace of mind. She was prompt with her responses, took pictures of Thelma (which isn’t too easy because she’s incredibly shy and introverted), and gave me thorough updates. I highly recommend Katrina. I will only use her in the future. If she will have us!”

“Lisa was great! I could tell the kitties loved her because they were calm and relaxed when we returned. This was our first time working with Lisa but I will be reaching out to her again for sure.”

“Laken was perfect. I hired her last minute and was very happy with the drop in visit. She followed all the instructions I left for the dogs. I will definitely use her again. Thank you!”

“She is amazing! Was able to jump in and take care of my girls during an emergency on very short notice. And really knows her stuff. I completely trust her in my home and with my girls. They are being loved on while I’m away!”

About: I’m looking to care for a Rottweiler they are my favorite breed I have extensive experience working with a wide variety of animals, including more challenging breeds such as wolf hybrids. One of my most rewarding experiences was training a wolf hybrid from the ground up. When I started, he had no basic commands and struggled with behaviors like jumping on people. Through consistent training, structure, and trust-building, I was able to teach him commands such as sit, lay down, spin, and reliable recall. I also successfully corrected his jumping behavior, which was especially important given his size and strength. I currently have a full time job at AT&T but I am looking to hopefully get out of the normal 9-5 I have a side job that produces decent income but I don’t feel completely comfortable leaving my 9-5 just yet. You know bills I believe respect is one of the most important things about being a pet parent. One must be disciplined and thoughtful when caring for animals! I simple don’t treat them as just a dog but my as individual with a personality.

“This was our first Rover experience and Carly was better than we’d hoped for! She gladly came to our home to meet our pups and get a house key prior to our leave and then went above and beyond in doing another visit when our arrival home was delayed. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
