About: Growing up in Rural America afforded me the opportunity to begin caring for and developing a passion for animals at an early age that has carried into adulthood. I intentionally avoid “overbooking” ensuring your pet receives all of the love and care necessary in your absence. Individualized care and attention are the highest priorities. Separation anxiety is real among dogs. I’m here to ensure you fur babies receive all of the love and attention required while you’re away. Whether it’s vacation or work related, I’ve got you covered!

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs, including German Shepherds, Boxers, and Mastiffs, so caring for animals has always been a part of my life. My family always had two or three dogs, which gave me years of hands-on experience with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. I’ve also provided dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight care for friends, and through TrustedHousesitters. I’ve completed extended pet sits lasting up to a month. I treat every pet like family and strive to make them feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work part time and remotely, this means that my schedule is pretty flexible. I have a few work meetings and a workout routine that I will stick to. This make it super easy to have time to care for your pets. When caring for pets in your home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I’ll make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of walks, playtime, and companionship, and receive any medications or special care they need. I love spending quality time with pets, whether that’s playing, cuddling, practicing basic training, or simply keeping them company. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I'm just a big kid when it comes to dogs. I love dogs regardless of age, size, or breed. And they love me! Gentle enough to coax skiddish dogs into baths but still wild enough to run with them in the open fields. The only knock on me is I have trouble being firm because they melt my heart so much. I work full-time but I'm off 3 days a week; when I do work I don't start until 2pm, so scheduling will not be a problem. Dogs always gravitate to me and I to them. I believe they feel a safety and trust by nature; they are excellent judges of character.

About: Compassionate, dependable pet care tailored to every animal’s unique personality, routine, and needs. I provide attentive companionship, thoughtful updates, and respectful care for cats, dogs, and other beloved pets, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My schedule is flexible, and I’m available for overnight pet and house sitting throughout Santa Rosa Beach and along 30A. I’m also willing to travel for the right booking. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I organize my schedule around the needs of the pets and households I care for. I’m a published author currently working on my next book, so I value quiet time, peaceful surroundings, and the companionship of fur companions. For overnight bookings, I stay in the client’s home through the night and follow the care plan we agree upon. In addition to writing and pet sitting, I am a Sound Alchemist, Sound Practitioner, Sound Journey Facilitator, Vibrational Resonance Guide, and Sonic Meditation Facilitator. Through sound, vibration, mindfulness, and immersive listening experiences, I create peaceful, grounding environments while avoiding clinical or medical claims. These practices complement my love of quiet time and my appreciation for calm, attentive companionship. I am also capable of watering plants, collecting mail, and bringing in delivered packages while you are away. I’m happy to help maintain a lived-in appearance and care for these household details according to your instructions. I leave pets alone only according to each pet parent’s guidelines, since every pet and household has different needs and routines. Before accepting a booking, we’ll discuss your expectations, your pet’s routine, exercise needs, daytime care, medication requirements, and the amount of time your pets can comfortably be left alone. Clear communication in advance helps ensure that my availability is a good fit. As a quiet, non-smoker who deeply respects your privacy and property, I treat your home with the utmost care and cleanliness. I am fully comfortable managing home security systems and maintaining your daily household routines while you are away. I provide overnight care in the client’s home so pets can remain in familiar surroundings and follow their usual routines. I treat each home, its belongings, plants, mail, packages, and the family’s privacy with care and respect. I am attentive to instructions and pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, comfort, and needs. My experience with cats, horses, German Shepherds, Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies, and farm animals has taught me that every animal has a unique personality and requires patience, consistency, and individualized care. I also cared for my beloved cat, Sterling, for more than 22 years. These experiences have strengthened my sense of responsibility and helped me recognize subtle changes in an animal’s behavior or well-being. I welcome a meet-and-greet before each booking so you and your pet can get to know me, review instructions, and feel confident about the care plan. I provide regular photos and updates while you are away so you can stay connected and reassured. Staying overnight also provides companionship for your pets and helps your home appear occupied.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and care I have for dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and honestly can’t imagine life without them. They bring so much joy, companionship, and healing, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds over the years, including a Labrador Retriever, two Pomeranians, a Papillon, and now my own Mini Poodle. Growing up around dogs has given me experience with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs, and I’ve learned that every dog deserves patience, kindness, and individualized attention. I’m dependable, attentive, and will treat your dog like one of my own. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a familiar routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is simple: to give your dog a fun, safe, and loving experience every time we’re together. Pet care fits perfectly into my weekly routine! I currently work Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, which means I’m available most mornings, late mornings, and early afternoons for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with your pets. I’m also available on Sundays and Mondays with even more flexibility. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so it doesn’t feel like work to me. I love being active, spending time outdoors, and making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and cared for while their owner is away. I believe every pet is happiest when they feel safe, comfortable, and their routine stays as normal as possible. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them on a walk, I’ll follow your instructions closely to make sure they receive the care they’re used to. I’ll make sure they have fresh water, plenty of exercise, playtime, affection, and potty breaks while always keeping their safety my top priority. I’m also happy to reinforce any routines or commands you use at home and will treat both your pet and your home with the same respect and care I would my own. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, loved, and in good hands.

About: I’m a passionate animal lover with hands-on pet care experience from volunteering at Alaqua Animal Refuge. Over the past few years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and even bunnies, learning how to meet the needs of many different personalities and breeds. I’ve also been dog sitting and house sitting for the past year and a half, and I’m always excited to learn more and give every pet the love, patience, and attention they deserve! I currently have a job, but I always plan ahead and am happy to work around my schedule to meet the needs of your pets, being out of school I am more open . I value clear communication and will always be open and upfront to make sure everything is scheduled smoothly and your animals get the care they deserve. Please don't be shy to send different requests like helping out while you're on vacation here with drop in's/ walks . I'm happy to help where I can when I can and don't be shy to send last minute request and I'll make it happen if possible!! I have house sitting and boarding open but it is very specific times and situations, but please reach out so we can take about it! Whether in my home but preferably in their environment, I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure. I focus on building trust through patience, routine, and attentive care, treating every animal like my own.

About: About Me 🐾 Animals are my thing—always have been, always will be. I’ve worked with everything from birds and dogs to snakes, goats, and more, so nothing really surprises me at this point. From bottle-fed babies to senior pets who need a little extra TLC (or to be carried around like royalty), I’ve got the patience, experience, and heart for it all. I’m the person who will sit with your pet, talk to them like they’re human, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and completely at ease while you’re away. I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for neighbors and friends for years—whether it’s a high-energy puppy or an older pet who just needs a calm, gentle presence. Reliable, attentive, and maybe a little extra when it comes to care—because your pet deserves nothing less. 💁‍♀️🐾 Pet care is part of my daily routine—feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins are naturally built into my schedule to ensure consistent, loving care every day. I care for pets in their home by following their routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and medications, while providing lots of attention, comfort, and a safe, stress-free environment.

About: I’ve always loved animals, and love to pet sit for folks! My flexible work schedule lets me spend adequate time with your pet throughout the day. Nothing is better than cuddling on the couch with a little fur ball! I work full time, Sunday-Thursday. However, I make my own schedule for the day. So I can accommodate any potty break/walk needs. Under emergency situations, I can work from home. I have a large fenced in yard, and we have a small Schnauzer/Chihuahua mix named Calpurnia. She loves to play with every dog, so your pup will get plenty of entertainment! She is crate trained, and will happily crate your pup if you wish. Potty pads can also be made available

About: As a stay-at-home mama and online student, I’ve made caring for pets my full-time job, and being the best pet sitter in Florida my unofficial title (at least according to my mom). My home is set up to help furry guests feel right at home, with a cozy, pet-friendly sectional, filtered water fountain, plenty of toys, and a screened-in porch for supervised sunbathing. Your doggy can enjoy a consistent routine with plenty of walks, park playtime, snuggles, and time to relax. My day revolves around my studies, my kiddo, and my fur babies! I don't work or have any obligations away from home, so the pets in my care are my priority. I have a roomy apartment and a screened-in porch. When we're not on walks or at the park, my pup loves hanging out with me on the cozy porch for some fresh air. My apartment is toddler-proofed and safe, and I'm always around to keep an eye on your pup. I offer 2-3 meal times, and a filtered pet water fountain is always running in the living room.

About: I have over 7 years experience of house/pet sitting caring for a variety of animals, fish, dogs, birds, cats, goats, a donkey, a llama and chickens. I am comfortable and confident with almost all domestic animals. I am a retired Registered Nurse with over 30 years experience in various fields of medicine. I am now a full time house and pet sitter travelling around(by car) the continental US and Canada caring for other's beloved fur family. My experience includes daily walks, feeding, administering medication when necessary, and providing plenty of love and attention. My past nursing experience has made me highly observant and attentive to the smallest details. While I am calm and easygoing I am also excellent in challenging and emergency situations being both independent and self reliant. I love dogs and cats but do not have any of my own due to my gypsy like lifestyle. I am very neat and clean.....so your home will be just as you left it while respecting your property.

About: I’ve had many pet growing up and have a strong love for animals. I’ve spent time with dogs of all sizes, cats, reptiles, and birds. I pick up lots of freelance odd jobs and do not currently have a true sit down "job". So there will be plenty of time for taking care of your pet properly! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a calm and safe environment that helps pets feel secure and loved while their favorite people are away. I always follow the owner’s routines and instructions carefully. Whether that’s feeding schedules, walk times, medication, or favorite toys and treats. I make sure doors are locked, pets are supervised, and I give updates as needed to give you peace of mind. I also take pride in respecting your home, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. My goal is to build trust. Not just with your pet, but with you too. I know it can be hard to leave your pet behind, and scary to leave your babies in someone else's hands while you're gone. I'm reliable, detail oriented, and treat every animal like they’re part of my own family.

About: Dogs are the best. I have had dogs my entire life and currently have 2 little guys (9yr and 14yr). No matter where I go I always find the dogs! If your pup is friendly, they’ll get along great with mine! Currently relocated here for a job and unfortunately that didn’t work out. I’m currently searching for the next career move, and I would love for that to be taking care of your pup! Obviously listening to the advice of the parent first, my house is their house, for all friendly pups! I have a large fenced in back yard with flood lights all around.

FAQs for House Sitting - Rosemary Beach

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rosemary Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rosemary Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rosemary Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
