“Angelica was amazing. We were so nervous about leaving dusty with a new person since she’s very shy and skittish even around us. Angelica was very patient and took the cutest pictures of dusty when she decided to reveal herself.”

“Berenice, thank you so much for the love and care you show Tan and us. We can enjoy our vacations knowing you are here to take such good care of our home and Tan! Have a great vacation, and see you soon. Tara and Craig.”

“Samantha was great! She was very friendly and professional for our first meeting, followed our instructions perfectly, and took plenty of pictures. She also went the extra mile in cleaning up some messes that our cat likes to leave outside the litter box. I'll definitely be using Samantha for cat care again.”

“Amanda did a marvelous job caring for my two kitties, Sonoma and Teton. I arrived home to full water dishes, clean litter boxes, and content cats. I very much endorse her work. Thanks Amanda!”

“Kaitlin did an awesome job taking care of our two cats. We are always nervous to leave them when going on vacation but we really felt at ease as Kaitlin sent lots of pictures and was very communicative. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter. Thank you Kaitlin!”

About: Hi, my name's Kat and I'm a cartoonist who works remotely and would love to be your dog’s new friend! I grew up on a farm in middle of nowhere Tennessee taking care of dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and all sorts of critters. Rescuing dogs with my mom instilled a love of animals in me that's remained a constant throughout my life. I have over a decade of experience working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, using positive reinforcement techniques heavily inspired by Patricia B. McConnell's The Other End of the Leash. I'm an active human who runs, hikes, or hits the gym every day, and can easily handle whatever level of activity your pup needs to stay healthy and happy. I work remotely and my schedule is very flexible. I run and hike most days with my malinois and am happy to add any high energy pups to our routine! I'm very attentive to what clients need regarding their animal’s care. My own dog is a very playful young malinois who loves guests. I have a fenced in yard for regular play and potty breaks, and live next to Taylor Mt so nature walks are a staple of our day!

About: Hello, we are Peter & Shannon. We have both had pets throughout our lives and, over the past decade +, have taken care of own dogs and others' dogs in all stages of life. From puppies to seniors with special needs, we know that every dog is special and we aim to provide care, affection, and play to is unique to each dogs ability and preferences. We are comfortable providing medications and incorporating any medical necessities into our daily routine as needed. We do not have children and our dogs (and yours) are absolutely our babies. Currently have one dog, Violet, a very friendly and outgoing doodle who loves meeting and playing with new friends. Violet is quite intuitive and has shown gentleness with more senior or less energetic dogs but she also can "turn it on" and play, play, play with those who are interested. We recently lost our 10 year old labrador, Charley, to cancer and have so much extra love to give to your fur baby. Peter and I mostly work from home so your dog will have both human and canine companionship the majority of the time during their stay with us. When we both venture out, we are not typically gone for more than 4-5 hours. We go on daily walks and frequent excursions with Violet and can easily accommodate the routine needs of your dog(s) as well. Our home is clean is comfortable with lots of dog beds (although you are more than welcome to bring your own) and toys for playing. We do allow dogs on our furniture but, of course, will ensure that we enforce any of your home rules as preferred. We have a fully fenced back yard which we love to spend lots of time in when the weather is nice and we enjoy taking lots of adventures to the Russian River, the beach, and local parks.

About: Though i’m more of a cat person, i love dogs very much as well. I’ve always walked dogs for my neighbors, as well as my own dog, Sophia! I am at a point in my work life where I am relatively free, leaving me lots of time to spend with your fuzzy friends! One thing I am always extra careful of is making sure I respect animals boundaries. I will never force an animal to be social, and I prioritize comfort and safety at all times.

About: I grew up in a household that always had a pet dog, cat and at times other rodents and reptiles. I have always loved animals, so I helped a lot with pet care at home and with neighbors. Horses have aways been my favorite, I started lessons at 10 and started working around 14. I am 26 and have been in the industry since then. I have ranch sat for properties with over 100 different individual animals including horses, pigs, goats, sheep, llamas, chickens, dove, quail, rabbits, dogs and cats. I have also had job positions where I am solely responsible for 8 horses on a remote ranch on an island with no vet on it. Although this is less dog experience it shows my ability to handle responsibility and provide excellent house sitting and animal care. I have also watched and helped care for roommates and friends' dogs and cats throughout my life. Basically, my life has always involved caring for a plethora of animals including dogs and cats. I just moved back home after travelling and I do not have a set routine yet. Therefore, I am currently available whenever! This will eventually change. I care for pets with the utmost attention to detail with the goal of having a good time! I am very respectful of other people's spaces, beliefs, training methods, etc. When caring for pets in a client's home it is fairly simple. I just follow the instructions given and ask questions as needed. The important thing in my opinion is clear communication. I try to maintain the pet's routine as closely as possible as I believe that helps decrease stress in transition and change. I am very active so love to take dogs on walks and runs. I love spending time with animals, but I do provide firm boundaries. Unless I am asked to use a handling methodology or strategy, I mostly use positive reinforcement and reserve negative reinforcement for potential dangerous situations.

“This was my first time using Rover and it was a great experience. Cynthia provided timely communication and sent me a lot of pictures of my kitties during her drop-in visits. She even got my shy kitty to come out to play. ?”

“Kayla was fantastic! Took great care of our cats, one with some specific medical needs. Great communication throughout the stay and left our home nice and clean! Would definitely book with Kayla again in the future ?”

“Toni is wonderful! She provides daily updates and really went above and beyond to make sure my two kitty boys happy. She went above and beyond and left my house nice and tidy and with fresh sheets on the bed so my late night arrival home was so much smoother. Highly recommend her!”

Shannon & Peter S.
“Shannon is a great sitter! Her years of experience as a parent of cats and dogs mean she has the skills and the love as a qualified sitter. She has taken care of my 60lb Pitbull (my cherished child) numerous times. Figgy gets so excited to see her, it’s clear they have a bond. This is so meaningful to me when my dog is comfortable and happy with a sitter, and the relationship is not purely transactional, and I can trust someone. I am grateful for Shannon’s amazing care.”

Adriana V.
“Adriana would make a fabulous pet sitter. She loves animals and has cared for all kinds of creatures, including many cats and dogs. She is kind, loving, patient, and very caring, and I would feel confident in her ability to be a caregiver for my animal. She is quite knowledgeable about animal needs, and understands animal behavior. She has rescued many cats and dogs and has helped them over come their fears and other challenges. Adriana has volunteered at Fawn Rescue, an organization that rescues and returns orphaned fawns to the wild, as an educational assistant who teaches children about wildlife in Sonoma County.”

Daniel H.
“I am beyond grateful to have found Daniel on Rover! My two pups, Milo and Daisy, absolutely love him. The moment he walks through the door, their tails start wagging like crazy! It’s such a relief knowing they’re getting their daily walks, especially since my schedule doesn’t always allow me to take them out as much as I’d like. What I appreciate most about Daniel is how reliable and communicative he is. He always lets me know how the walk went and sends the cutest photos, which makes my day. It’s clear he genuinely loves what he does and cares for the dogs as if they were his own. If you’re looking for someone responsible, trustworthy, and great with animals, Daniel is the perfect choice. I highly recommend him!”
Roseland cat parents share their Rover experiences
Keith R is a five stars! We are gone for 2 weeks, far away, and he did everything, everything! Our kitty, long hair, white Persian Kitty, 15, she's a little shy, but she loved Keith! Keith brushed her coat, petting with love. He also emptied our mailbox across the street, watering the plants outside, watering the new gladiolus for my daughter, and and more! I already gave a big top. Thank you thank you thank you, Keith! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌹 Faith
