About: I’ve had pets my entire life and genuinely love caring for animals. I have experience looking after dogs and cats for friends, family, and neighbors, including feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m very reliable, detail-oriented, and always follow care instructions closely. I also have a flexible schedule and can often accommodate last-minute requests. I’m happy to send updates and photos during each visit so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands! Pet care fits very easily into my daily routine. I do online school, so my schedule is very flexible and I am available throughout the day most days of the week. This allows me to accommodate morning, midday, and afternoon walks or drop-in visits depending on what your pet needs. I am also able to be consistent with recurring schedules if needed, and I can adjust my availability when planned in advance. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, respect, and following all instructions exactly as given. I make sure pets are secure at all times during walks, including proper leash handling and awareness of surroundings. During drop-in visits, I focus on making sure pets are fed, have fresh water, get potty breaks, and receive attention and playtime so they feel comfortable and cared for while their owner is away. I treat every home with respect by being mindful, clean, and careful, and I always follow any specific routines or rules provided for each pet.

Just finished our first three days and Suzie is doing a great job with our two dogs. They warmed up to her right away and are so excited to see her. Suzie is handling our nervous mix wonderfully. I’m confident and comfortable with Suzie’s ability to handle both dogs in a neighborhood with lots of other dog walkers. Knowing the pups are in capable hands brings or family great comfort ❤️👍🐕🐶👏

About: Me and my family have raised our dog Soske since he was a puppy, about 6 years now! My sister and I trained him and through my experience with him I’ve learned a lot about dogs and taking care of them. The biggest priority for me when taking care of animals is safety, with fun being a close second. I’m a masters student at UCSD and have a lot of free time when I don’t have classes. Anytime I’m not busy with coursework or studying I’d love to spend taking care of pets! Whether it’s going on walks or taking care of your pet in your home, my biggest concern is ensuring the comfort and safety of you and your pet. I’ll do my best to watch over and entertain them like they were my own.

About: I have taken care of senior dogs who require medicine doses and health monitoring. I have also cared for very young puppies and kittens who have needed to be bottle fed. I foster kittens a lot and it truly is so rewarding to see them grow healthy and enjoy life. I have had pets at my home and I have house sat and kept an eye on pets. I just graduated high school May 2026 so I have a lot of free time. I wake up early in the morning and just do tasks around the house. I am home full time right now. I have siblings but more importantly one 9 year old brother who is gentle with animals and understands how they should be treated. I have a lot of free time on my hands and i am very flexible so any routine a pet already has at your home can also be matched with me. I also am able to drive. Our backyard is fenced and we do not have any permanent pets in the home right now. We do sometimes have foster pups or kittens which are kept in a bedroom that has a code lock on it so they can be nursed to good health in peace.

About: I began to offer pet-sitting to friends and family just for some dog breath and tail wags in my life after my dog passed away. A family member told me about Rover and - here I am! I know how important pets are to the families they love and how important it is to have peace of mind that they are in good hands while you're away. I will ensure that your fur baby has all that they need while they wait on their favorite human/s to come home. I've taken care of a dogs for most of my life. My childhood dog was one of my best friends. We would play together for hours and I was responsible to feed, bathe, and clean up after him. He loved belly rubs and going with us on family walks. When the neighbor's dogs broke through the fence and attacked him, I was the one who flushed and cleaned his wounds, changed his bandages, and nursed him back to health after he came home from the vet. He became diabetic when he grew old and I gave him his insulin shots. I also had an outdoor cat, and pet sat for a neighbor who had an iguana, fish, water turtles, and cockatiels. As an adult, I adopted a pit-mix rescue and we enjoyed obedience training, going to the dog park, car rides for a pup cup, going for walks, and playing tug-of-war. Last year, he was diagnosed with an oral tumor and he needed lots of extra care during his last months. He needed medication 3 times a day, a specialized diet when it became difficult for him to eat kibble, and eventually hand-feeding for him to be able to eat at all. He passed away 14 years old. I wouldn't trade one minute. I'm currently working part-time in the morning and would love to spend my afternoons with animals. If you need someone to care for your pet mid-day, we're the perfect match. I provide care where your pet feels safest - in their own home environment. Please leave me detailed instructions so I know where to find their food and food bowl, leash, toys, medications, etc. If you have spacial boundaries for your pet such as not being allowed on the couch or bed, in specific rooms, or if they are outside-dog only, etc., please let me know so I can respect and enforce those boundaries.

About: Can I walk your dog ? Hi, My name is Jimmy, I have had pets when I was growing up and have taken care of friends/family dogs for years. My daily routine is walks, feeding, cuddles, play-time, letting them rest when they need, and taking pictures… talking about pictures, I would be more than happy to share with you as much as you need ;) I walk our dog, Molky, 3 times a day, including a long walk in the neighborhood. We have a fenced back yard that is available as much as wanted/needed during the day. I have a friendly 7 years old puppy, Molky. I require that all pups are fully vaccinated, dewormed, before their stay. We know how anxious it can be leaving your pet in the hand of another person, that’s why I would love to meet you and your pet beforehand, to learn more about your pet's likes, dislikes and daily routine to make him/she and you as much comfortable as possible while you’re away. If any question, please ask :) If I'm taking care of your fur baby, he/she will not be alone, and he/she'll always have attention during the stay. Potty breaks every 2-3 hours. As already mentionned I have a fenced back yard, and a little friendly dog, Molky (15 lbs). Beforehand, please let me know about your pup : - If young, if is potty trained. - Pup's vaccines are up to date. -Pup's Breed. - Pup's likes and dislikes. - Pup's daily activities. - Any allergies, diseases. - Restricted diet. - Pup's behavior with other dogs. - Pup's behavior with children and other adults. - Pup's behavior during the walk. If special any requests? Just ask! :)

About: My experience ranges from newborn to senior care. Family has trusted me to care for their dogs and cats while on vacations. I currently am a mama to two 7 month old kittens, after my labrador mix passed away in July. I currently work full-time for the school district, but I am available in the evenings and weekends. I will be available full-time during the summer months of June, July, and half of August. Also available full-time during school breaks such as Spring Break and the 2 weeks of Winter Break. I have a fenced in backyard but I can not currently house any pets in my house. I have two cats and I feel housing a dog would cause issues.

Whitney has been the perfect energy for Onyx while we were away on our family trip to Disneyland. She showed up right on time every morning and afternoon, pouring so much love and care into every visit. Even when we couldn’t respond, she instinctively tuned in and adjusted to make sure Onyx was cared for exactly as needed. She fit right into our busy schedule without needing much instruction—and from the very first time we saw her with Onyx, we knew they would bond. We never once worried, because it was clear she would naturally do whatever Onyx needed. She went above and beyond—always reliable, thoughtful, and radiating a truly loving energy. Whitney carries such a grounded, beautiful presence—Onyx connected with her instantly, and we know he’ll miss her. We’re so grateful! It truly felt meant to be. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
