“Alexis was great with my Charlie boy! I was in a pinch and needed a sitter last minute and she saved the day! I could tell from the photos she sent me that Charlie was excited to see her and spend time with her everytime she went to let him out, and her playing with him in the backyard and taking him for walks goes a long way towards making him feel happy when he’s got a little separation anxiety going on. I would absolutely recommend her, and would use her again in the future when I need a helping hand! 🐾”

“Sarah was fantastic! I was a bit nervous leaving our dogs for a couple days but she took great care of them while we were gone. She sent tons of adorable pictures and detailed updates, which we really appreciated! It was clear that she really cared about them and was getting to know their personalities and quirks! We’d highly recommend Sarah and the next time we need help with the doggies, I would book her again in a heartbeat!”

“First time using Rover in a pinch! Kelly was wonderful with our two toy poodles. We were gone all week and Kelly took them out, did walks and lots of snuggles! They loved her and it was obvious in the pics she sent! We’ve already booked her for another time!”

About: I grew up with dogs. As adults my husband and I have/had dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea piga and a hedgehog. Open to dogs of any age, including puppies that aren't fully potty trained. I work full time but am hyrbid between the office and home so I am only out of the home 2-3 days a week. I can flex which days to accommodate days I am pet sitting. Our yard is almost completely fenced in, I have a temp fence in the part that isn't installed yet. I live in a neight that is close to small trails and a stream that dogs can easily go in a walk to. Our dogs and cat free roam, they are never in a crate. They are allowed on the couch and bed with us. I have a doggie door that goes out to our back yard.

About: I have had a dog my whole life. I grew up with 1 or 2 dogs and always helped my parents care for them. 4 years ago my husband and I got our own dog, a black lab, who we adore! We often watch family dogs, ranging from puppy to 12 years old. My dog gets along well with all dogs and loves to play! The best part of my day is spent with dogs. I work full time in home health therapy so travel around for my job. I build my own schedule and am flexible with work allowing me to take breaks during the day for pet care if needed. After I get home from work, I walk and play with my dog. My house has a large living room with a box of toys and bones. The pets are allowed anywhere in the house and are allowed on beds and furniture in my home. I understand that not all people allow dogs on furniture and I would always respect that, enforcing the rules set by the owners of the pet. My yard is fenced in allowing for dogs to run freely in the backyard.

“Alisha was absolutely amazing! She communicated so well through the entire week. My pup has some severe separation anxiety and I hate leaving her, but Alisha loved on her like her own which made me feel so at ease! Will definitely hire her again!”

“Great experience! Easy to work with, spent a good amount of time playing with our cat, and she even cuddled up by the 4th day, which is unheard of for her to do with strangers. Would definitely hire again”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and currently have a 4 year old black lab named Cooper. My wife and I plan a lot of our life around Cooper and where he is able to come with us. He gets a long walk every day and we usually wrestle at night. He watches TV on the couch with us and sleeps in our bed. Cooper is very social and loves playing with other dogs, however he is not the least bit dominant and is content to just chew a bone if the other dog doesn’t want to play. We’d take care of your pet the same way we treat Cooper. My wife and I both work full time, but our schedules are a little staggered so Cooper is usually only home alone for about 7-8 hours total. We keep him with us for the entire weekend. He gets a long walk each afternoon and is fed twice a day (+snacks) We have a large fenced in backyard that the dogs can play in. Dogs are allowed on our beds and furniture. We have multiple dog beds throughout the house, and a self feeding water dish.

“Amy was amazing. She took the time to do everything she could to ensure my dog was cared for safely and met the expectations of the visit. She is a great communicator with clear and concise messaging. She gave very detailed information about the visit - thank you!”

About: I’ve had a dog all my life, usually raised as a puppy to senior life. I treat them like family and they’re my fur baby, I would do the same for your dog. My dog gets along with other dogs and cats. I am home during the day and night. I enjoy being outside and play ball with my dog and we walk around the yard as my dog chases squirrels. I have Invisible Fence for my dog. He likes to run and play with other dogs and gets along with any dog. I treat any dog like it’s my own and will follow any special instructions, if needed. I have dog tie-outs at the front and on the deck of my home to use if needed. My dog is allowed on my furniture and sleeps with me. I can accommodate whatever sleeping situation your dog needs.

About: I grew up on a farm caring for all variety of animals. I am a dog mom of 2 pit mixes, and I adore puppies!! I love long walks on trails and neighborhoods, giving kisses while watching the sunset, and all about fine-dining treats! I work from home so I have the flexibility to care for your pets! I am active as well as love being a couch potato. I can take long or short walks (I need my steps!!) I am consistent and flexible! I have cared for many pets throughout my life, I am alert to any issues, and I am strong for those heavy pullers on a leash

About: I grew up with large dogs and have dogsat in other people’s homes for eight years. I am very comfortable with dogs of all breeds, ages, medical needs, and personalities. Dogs give me so much joy, and I would be happy to care for yours! I worked remotely for the University of Minnesota, but was unfortunately laid off due to funding cuts. I currently work on a small farm part-time and dog-sit to make extra income. My hours are very flexible. I am happy to provide any dog and house related care (e.g., getting the mail). I comfortable with a dog sleeping in or out of a crate, feeding any food (e.g., raw food diet), giving medications or performing procedures (I am a certified EMT), and providing exercise (e.g., walking, hiking, fetch, swimming).

Caitlin W.
“We had such a wonderful experience with Caitlin taking care of our cat while we were away! We didn’t know Caitlin personally or have any mutual connections, so we were a little nervous at first. After meeting Caitlin we could tell that she was a skilled animal lover and knew how to read our cat’s cues, quickly earning her trust. During our trip she sent us pictures and updates, and was at our house for the agreed upon length of time, giving us so much peace of mind knowing that our cat was being taken care of and loved. We were able to concentrate on enjoying our daughter’s graduation without worrying about our sweet kitty. We highly recommend Caitlin!”

Nick & Stephanie B.Star Sitter
“Nick and his wife are two of the best dog owners we know. They are kind, loving, caring and attentive. We tease them that they treat their dog better than many people treat their kids. They are regular watchers of our dog and I truly believe he is as well (if not better) cared for in their home than ours. He loves going there and is so excited to see them. I can 100% recommend them. They would make great pet caregivers on Rover!!”

Joshua B.

She has a natural gift when it comes to caring for animals, and I have no doubt she'd be a perfect fit for Rover. She will bring a level of care and attention to detail that is unmatched. I've personally seen her handle my own dogs with the utmost patience and affection, making sure they feel comfortable and well-cared for. It’s rare to find someone who truly understands the needs of animals, and Vera does just that. Her reliability, warmth, and dedication make them the perfect person to trust with your furry friends.”
