About: I’ve taken care of puppies and older dogs, I have a 5 year old Boston terrier that loves to play. I work from home so easily able to give frequent walks, play time, and potty breaks. I treat all pets like they are my own and give them all the love and cuddles they’d like. I work from home. This allows me to provide excellent pet care involving feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks and play time. I am very flexible with my after work schedule as well to make sure feedings and additional bathroom breaks are available. I have 1 very friendly and playful Boston terrier. She gets along well with all dogs. I do have a fenced in yard that allowed for dogs to be able run around and play outside. I do have a crate that could fit a small or medium sized dog if that was preferred when I won’t be home.

About: I originally came to Rover in search of care for my own animals while traveling pre-COVID. Leaving them can be hard and I understand wanting to hire someone who will love them and treat them with the same care as you do! It’s so incredibly important to find someone you trust to be responsible for family and your home. I currently have 2 cats that I rescued and am proudly a dog aunt to every dog in my neighborhood! Every week I get photos of pups sitting outside my house looking for me to come outside and play with them while on walks with their owners! (See my photos!) I had dogs, cats, fish, and hamsters growing up and totally believe that pets are part of the family who deserve to be treated as such! I’ve fed, walked, bathed, played with, and helped train lots of animals over the years. I also have experience caring for cats and dogs with special needs, including medications, ear drops, eye drops, and special diets. Watching pets age can be so challenging, and I understand wanting to only leave them in the hands of someone who cares to gently support them. I also lived with a black lab puppy and know how much work a puppy can be, but the snugggles and kisses are all worth it! I am also an avid gardener and happy to take care of your plants and bring in the mail while you’re away. I currently work full time (830am-430pm) but am happy to hang out with or walk your pets early in the morning, on my lunch break, or after work and on the weekends! With a bit of advance notice, I can make almost any evening or weekend work. My cats are quite spoiled and enjoy their quiet life, so I can’t take any back animals to my own house. In others’ homes, I am always respectful of their property and space, and thoughtful for their pet and home’s safety.

“Melissa is awesome!! She did such a wonderful job watching our elderly Weimaraner and our very active golden. She took our energetic guy on walks daily and took great care of both dogs while we were away. Melissa was great communicating with us while we were away. We could relax and enjoy our vacation and didn’t have to worry about our pups. They were in such great hands. We highly recommend Melissa if you are looking for a loving, responsible person to care for your pets!”

About: I have been around all types of pets my entire life. I’ve taken care of dogs from Newfoundland’s to chihuahuas. I’m great with pets and have been responsible for cleaning, feeding, walking, and playing with lots and lots of dogs. I am a big animal person and want to do something with it in the future. In my childhood I would go to my aunts house often to take care of her 5 Newfoundland’s and bulldog. I would take my sisters chihuahua to the mountains of Colorado. Every nearby neighborhood I grew up by as a child knew me for my exceptional dog care and would want me to walk and dog sit for them all the time. It comes natural for someone when it is what they really love to do. I am currently self employed so I can make time or move my schedule around to accommodate your pets schedule needs. Open availability for right now. I give my cat lots of love and affection. I also take care of proper feeding and cleaning. Lots of experience feeding and walking dogs as well.

“We have a 5 year old male, high energy, German Shepherd. Mac weighs 115 lbs. and over the years we have struggled to find a dog walker that is confident enough to walk him. Ana is a perfect fit for him! She is familiar with German Shepherds and larger breeds in general, can read dog behavior and most importantly, Mac respects her.”

About: I love all cats and dogs, big and small. I’ve been around pets since I was young and recently adopted a cat of my own! Would love to care for your pets and make sure they’re in good hands! I currently work part time so I have plenty of time to watch your furry friends. Would prefer advance notice to make sure it is a good fit and everything works out! I will try my best to work around your schedule. I can watch your pups in your home preferred as I live in an apartment that doesn’t allow dogs. I can watch cats in my home depending, would love to chat to hear more!

About: Animals have always held a special place in my heart and I genuinely love caring for them and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I spent over 12 years riding horses competitively and caring for my sweet horse, Blue, which taught me so much about patience, responsibility, and building a real bond with animals. These days, I’m lucky to share my home with two playful yorkies, Tucker and Toby, who always keep life fun and full of cuddles. I’ve also cared for two adorable hamsters in the past, so I know how important the little things are, whether it’s a cozy cage setup or just extra attention. I’m super detail-oriented and always ensure every routine, meal, and belly rub is right. Whether your pet is young and energetic or a senior in need of extra love, I’m here to care for them like family. I am a rising Sophomore at Bryant University but besides one morning summer class, I am free all summer during the days! I am a morning person, but I am happy to stay late to accommodate different fur-babies' schedules. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m caring for them in your home, I always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I'm happy to follow each pet’s individual routine, from feeding and walks to playtime and cuddles, so they feel right at home, no matter where they are. I live in an apartment in Deer Valley in Ellington, so I am happy to travel anywhere to walk or care for your animals in-home. If they get along with small dogs, I am also happy to do a doggy play date with my two friendly yorkies!

About: I love dogs of all sizes and adore cats as well. I love going on long walks outside and it’s even better with a furry buddy. I’ve taken care of my own pets and those of my family from time to time as well as some local gigs as well. I like following a schedule and will take care of your pet exactly how you do. I can do basics like feeding/ walking/ litter box cleaning. I can also bathe and attempt trim nails if requested depending on your pets temperament. I work part time, typically early morning and short shifts. I will be available to spend time with your pet for most of the day. My job be flexible with feeding and walking schedules if I’m aware a week in advance. I can sleep overnight or just pop in to check up on and play with your pet. I currently cannot watch pets at my home. When I visit my client homes I usually request that they leave me a note with any feeding information or anything they want me to know about their pet. I cuddle, walk, clean up after, feed according to instruction, and play with pets enthusiastically.

Jen O.Star Sitter
“Jen watched our dog, cat and turtle and she did a fabulous job! We reviewed information about the animals prior and she took notes and asked great questions to make sure we were all on the same page. Our dog has separation anxiety so there is some additional care that goes in with taking care of him, and Jen made sure to follow all steps to help make our boy the most comfortable while we were away. She spent a good amount of time visiting with our cat too which he loved! Our turtle is pretty easy going, but Jen made sure to capture moments of all our pets and share them with us periodically while we were away. She provided a daily update on all the animals and asked questions when needed. We are SO appreciative of Jen and would highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a responsible, kind, animal loving individual!”
