About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. My pets are like my children, and I will care for your pets the same way. I will give your pets a lot of attention by playing with them, petting them, and giving them cuddles. I will follow the owner's instructions on feeding your pet, clean up after them, and can administer meds as needed. I am available for drop-ins and dog walking three times a day. I am available for overnight care. I am a homemaker and available during the day, evening, and overnight. I have a flexible schedule. I am not able to board pets in my home at this time. I can do drop in visits, dog walks, and house sitting. I will care for your pets like my own. I will keep them safe. You can depend on me to treat your pets well. About: I adopted my first dog, Ollie, when I was 18 years old. Shortly after I discovered he was suffering from kidney failure and epilepsy. This resulted in frequent vet visits and daily medications, and I'm comfortable administering medication to your pets. Now, I have three cats that I've had for almost five years, living their best lives. I love my pets and I'm looking forward to giving your best friends the same level of love and care. I work full-time. I'm available after 2pm on most days - I try to keep my availability on my profile accurate but due to the nature of my job I may have more or less availability than what is listed. Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask! Daily care routine starts in the morning with food, medication, and cleaning litter boxes. We play at their request and make sure they have access to all their toys.

“This was the first time we've ever left our three cats in the care of a pet sitter. We were very nervous. Mikayla showed up twice a day to feed them and clean up after them - just as we agreed upon. She also was nice enough to leave food for the two feral cats that live in our carport. She did great with our alarm system, too. I would definitely book with her again.”

About: I’ve grownup with family dogs my whole life. When I was 13 I started a small dog walking business around my neighborhood. When I was 16 I got my own dog who became my best friend. When I was 18 I did an internship at a dog boarding place. I’ve had experience with all kinds of doggy personalities and can’t wait to get to know your pup! I have my own pitbull mixed dog named Coco who I care for daily. We go on adventures outside and spend a lot of time cuddling. She is the most important thing to me in the world. About: I have had animals since I was very young. I love all types of dogs, and have experience dealing with high energy as well as more relaxed dogs. I also have experience with fostering and rehoming dogs. I work part-time, and set my own hours, so I will have plenty of free time for the dogs! I am open to a set schedule or to flexible, one-off walks and boarding. I live in a log cabin on 10 acres in northern Albemarle county. I have a great field for walks and throwing toys. I have a lot of in-home hobbies, so any dog or cat hanging out with me will get a whole lot of attention and love while they are here.

“I was very apprehensive about leaving our pets with a stranger (especially our highly anxious 5-year-old lab who has never been separated for an extended period of time from her family), but we were desperate to find a sitter at short notice. Farrin came over for a "meet & greet" about a week before the event to get acquainted with Corey (the lab), Farrin came early that morning, stayed all day late into the evening so Corey wouldn't have to be alone. We received a couple of updates during the day from Farrin letting us know how Corey was doing. I couldn't be more pleased with Farrin's friendly, yet professional, demeanor. She deserves (& got) a big tip, and I would definitely hire her again.”

About: Animals definitely perceive my positive attitude, and people do too. I genuinely love making cats and dogs happy. I often talk to any animal quite a bit because I believe a calm tone of voice is good for them psychologically. Additionally, I have taken care of multiple dogs and cats throughout the years, working in kennel facilities and through ownership, and I understand what is required to keep them happy and healthy. I have a flexible schedule, with much time to ensure your pets get the exercise he or she needs, and the attention they deserve. They won't be lonely while you're away! Additionally, I can administer any medications necessary and follow any special dietary restrictions. Your cats and dogs are in good hands with me! I center taking care of my own animals around my daily schedule. I do my best to keep their regular feeding times ,and for my dogs walking times at expected hours. It can be difficult, but it wouldn't be fair for them to not know what to expect. So ultimately, I adjust my required needs around their schedule in terms of errands, and etcetera. I care for pets in a waythey are accustomed to; meaning regular schedules for feeding, walks and/or medication. If they are staying in my home, I would try to provide the most comfortable accommodations as possible while awaiting their people. But in a client's home, I would just coddle the pet, give them comfort, and again - keep them on the schedule they are accustomed to.
