Currently a veterinary assistant &’ enrolled in veterinary technology school, therefore, i can give proper care to your babies! I’m great with all temperaments/sizes/animals :) I am currently employed full-time at an animal hospital! I work 3 days a week from 8AM-8PM (typically Friday/Saturday/Sunday) I am happy to drop in before/after my shifts if I have to work during when you need my assistance! :) I live on a farm and take care of livestock/cats/dogs! About: Animals definitely perceive my positive attitude, and people do too. I genuinely love making cats and dogs happy. I often talk to any animal quite a bit because I believe a calm tone of voice is good for them psychologically. Additionally, I have taken care of multiple dogs and cats throughout the years, working in kennel facilities and through ownership, and I understand what is required to keep them happy and healthy. I have a flexible schedule, with much time to ensure your pets get the exercise he or she needs, and the attention they deserve. They won't be lonely while you're away! Additionally, I can administer any medications necessary and follow any special dietary restrictions. Your cats and dogs are in good hands with me! I center taking care of my own animals around my daily schedule. I do my best to keep their regular feeding times ,and for my dogs walking times at expected hours. It can be difficult, but it wouldn't be fair for them to not know what to expect. So ultimately, I adjust my required needs around their schedule in terms of errands, and etcetera. I care for pets in a waythey are accustomed to; meaning regular schedules for feeding, walks and/or medication. If they are staying in my home, I would try to provide the most comfortable accommodations as possible while awaiting their people. But in a client's home, I would just coddle the pet, give them comfort, and again - keep them on the schedule they are accustomed to.

About: I adopted my first dog, Ollie, when I was 18 years old. Shortly after I discovered he was suffering from kidney failure and epilepsy. This resulted in frequent vet visits and daily medications, and I'm comfortable administering medication to your pets. Now, I have three cats that I've had for almost five years, living their best lives. I love my pets and I'm looking forward to giving your best friends the same level of love and care. I work full-time. I'm available after 2pm on most days - I try to keep my availability on my profile accurate but due to the nature of my job I may have more or less availability than what is listed. Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask! Daily care routine starts in the morning with food, medication, and cleaning litter boxes. We play at their request and make sure they have access to all their toys.

About: Ive been involved with animals my whole life. My family and i have raised 3 generations of labs. I've been grooming dogs for over 8 years. I've worked for doggy day cares throughout my career. “Jonathan was wonderful, my 16-year-old dog loved him instantly. My dog was not at all out of sorts after a long weekend which means meds were given on time, he had plenty of walks (probably more than normal), and he wasn't left alone for too long. Jonathan communicated appropriately throughout his stay and my home was left very neat and tidy. I'm extremely thankful for his kind care of my old, curmudgeonly dog.”

About: I have been a pet owner for over 15 years and have experience working with terminally ill cats and dogs. I also have been trained under vets both in-clinic and out of clinic. I currently work part time a couple hours with horses in barn and an Australian Shepherd. So I have ample time to spend with your fur babies at home. I am an energetic person, so I love to go for walks, spend ample time outside playing fetch and other stimulating games. I also enjoy water play if the fur babies enjoy water.

“Dawn Star took wonderful care of my two dogs while my family and I were out of town for a long weekend. I came back home to happy dogs and a well cared for home. This was my first experience with a house sitter and found my dogs to be much more relaxed at the end of the stay compared to when they board at a facility. One of my dogs is very high energy, and the other is more reserved. Dawn Star handled their particular dynamics without issues. She also paid attention to my care/ instruction sheet and followed it to a T. I’m very happy with this experience and would hire Dawn Star again.”
