About: I have such a big heart for animals and a connection to them with a passion for taking care of any type of animal! I grew up taking in rescues with my family at home. We have rescued a senior yorkie, four kittens, and a deaf kitty. I currently have one 4 year old maltipoo at home and one goldfish! In the past we had fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, bearded dragons, and lizards at home. Throughout the years I love participating in anything involving innocent fur babies. For two years I pet sit my sisters french bulldog with GI issues and my brothers cat. At the same time I was in a P.A.W.S (protecting animals without stability) club in high school. I currently volunteer at two animal shelters since 2022. After high school I pursued an associates degree in Biology while participating in a veterinary assistant program. I graduated the program and continued on to getting my first full time job at a veterinary hospital as an approved veterinary assistant! I plan to complete my Biology degree while working full time and helping to take care of your fur babies 💗 I am currently in school pursuing a science degree while working part time at a hospital. About: I have been caring for my own pets for my entire life and have been pet sitting since I was fourteen. I formerly majored in Animal Science/Pre-vet at UConn before switching to an ecology degree, so helping animals is my life’s mission! I also have clinical experience working as a veterinary technician, so I am comfortable handling animals and making sure any medical needs are taken care of. Each and every pet deserves the same degree of love, care, and affection, and I would love to look after your furry friend! I am on break from college so my days are free to look after your pets! For house sits, I may on occasion have to go out for an errand or two, but I usually will not be away for more than an hour. I am happy to offer around the clock care if that is necessary. About: Hello, my name is Thelma! I am currently an ER Vet Tech, for the last 2 years almost, and working in the ECC Dept. for almost 3 years as an assistant. I am familiar & comfortable administration medications, or fluids. Before I entered Vetmed, I found my connection to animals, by dogsitting frequently. Not to mention, the handful of pets I’ve had. I have been dogsitting for multiple years, with all different kind of breeds. Being in Vetmed and working in the ER, I have extended knowledge and experience when it comes to taking care and watching your pets. I work full-time Sun-Tue, leaving the rest of the week to care for your pet(s). During my work week I am unavailable to sit pets since I work morning straight to night. But any other day (with enough time ahead planning wise) I am free to watch and love your pet! I care for pets in my home by making sure gates are secured and collars are always on! i live in an apartment so their safety is my number one priority. I do not have a backyard for them to hang, so I go out on multiple walks a day with pets to ensure no accidents happen and that they are getting the chance to go to the bathroom, stretch their legs and keep active.
