About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. Friends and family have trusted me for walks, feeding, playtime, and snuggles. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I’m dependable, patient, and love giving every pet the same care I give my own. I’m a full-time student with open blocks throughout the day and weekends free, making it easy for me to fit in walks, feedings, and quality time with your pets. I care for pets in their own homes so they feel safe and loved. I stick to their usual routines, give lots of playtime and cuddles, and make sure they’re happy while you’re away.
“I’ve booked with her three times now. This time - for drop-ins with my cat, and she has been consistently great. She always makes sure his litter box is clean, his food and water are full, and she takes the time to play with him, which I really appreciate. It gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in good hands while I’m away. She does a wonderful job, and I’ll definitely keep booking with her!”

About: I’ve taken care of any kind of animal you can name. I’ve worked/volunteered at recuses, breeders, vet offices, and my family has raised and raced standardbred horses since I was born. I also pet/house sit often. I know cpr/first aid for both dogs, cats, and small animals. I have also been approved for my 501(c)3 non for profit animal rescue license and I’m working towards starting my own animal rescue center. I work part time and I’m going to school to become a phlebotomist. I currently care for my rabbit, cat, 20 chickens, three peacocks, great dane, and five horses. So hard work is not new to me! As someone who leaves things better than I find them, your house, pets, and privacy are are my number one priority. You won’t have to worry about the safety of your pets, state of your home, or any medication/special needs your pet(s) may have or need!
About: I’ve worked with pets at every stage of life. From puppies full of energy to gentle senior dogs who need extra care. I’m adaptable and patient, whether that means giving a shy cat some space, offering tender attention to an older dog, or playing actively with a high-energy pup. Every visit, I make sure to provide a calm, focused, and loving environment for your pet. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility and availability to care for your pets. I have a good amount of free time throughout the week and love using it to give animals the attention, playtime, and care they need! Whether it’s daily visits, walks, or just some quality cuddle time, I’m happy to fit your pets needs into my routine and make your pet feel loved and well looked after. My main focus is keeping YOUR pets safe, happy, and comfortable in their environment. I always make sure doors, gates, and windows are secure before and after visits, and I’m careful to follow any household rules or routines the owner has in place. I take the time to learn each pet’s specific needs like feeding schedules, walk routines, and favorite toys so they feel comfortable . I also keep the home tidy, especially around food and litter areas, and I always double check that everything is clean and safe before leaving. My goal is to make things easy and stress-free for both the pet and their owner.
“Mooney is just incredible. Our cats adored him. You can tell from the pictures, they were crazy about him. The most important quality in a pet sitter is someone who truly loves animals and Mooney does.”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my experience, versatility, and special skills. Not only do I currently dog sit and house sit for three families on an as-needed basis, but I also bring a wealth of experience in handling dogs of all ages and needs. I’m skilled at training puppies, which includes basic obedience and socialization techniques. Additionally, I’m comfortable with senior dogs, providing them with extra care and attention to meet their specific health and mobility needs. My commitment to understanding each dog’s unique personality and routine ensures they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for while you're away. I currently work full-time in a community-based job where I have the flexibility to create my own schedule. I like to tailor my schedule around my needs for the week, with weekends being when I have the most availability. My current families prefer that I stay in their home, and I’m open to doing the same with other families as well When caring for pets in my client's home, I make sure to follow any specific instructions or routines the family has established. I ensure pets are fed on time, given fresh water, and get the appropriate amount of exercise and attention. I also monitor their health, administer any needed medications, and keep the environment safe and clean. If there are specific needs or requests for the pets, I prioritize those to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for in the absence of their owners
“Tara is absolutely amazing. I had to be away over night on short notice. She met me the same day explained to her what my pups needed. She is friendly and respectful. Tara took great care of my pups giving them love and attention. I will definitely be using her services going forward. Thank you Tara!”

About: I have been a dog lover since I was a young child playing with them holding them. Let them show me there joys and if sad hold them for awhile. They are wonderful friends. I am currently not working as summer school jobs are slim. I am available any day at anytime I am needed use me if needed I will care for your dogs by giving them structure and a routine so they can’t miss you as much and anxious behavior is minimized.
About: Although I currently do not have a dog of my own, I have had dogs in my family since I was 8 years old and have learned that they can have the best and funniest personalities and I love making a dog feel welcome anywhere and that they always know that somebody cares for them the way they care for their owner. I’ve been pet sitting for over 3 years and currently have a cat so i know how to take care of them as well in case you have both cats and dogs! I’m currently attending Woodland Community College and am a associates graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Since I only go to school and am trying to work remotely, I’ll have plenty of time for your pets and most if not all afternoons of the week can walk them. I constantly make sure my pets are okay with what they’re eating, drinking, how they act, if it’s unusual or usual and take a pet’s physical and mental health very seriously as I’ve had to put down many of my family’s own dogs in the past when they became ill and know the emotional toll it can be for the owners.
About: I've grown up with all sorts of pets for as long as I can remember. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish. I have two cats of my own right now (two very spoiled babies). I'm typically free in the evenings Monday through Thursday and completely free on the weekends. But if needed for an emergency I can work from home Monday through Thursday to be there for your pet. I care for pets in the same way that I care for myself, with the upmost care. Dogs get walked at least twice a day, and plenty of love. Cats also get the same, and I have plenty of toys for both cats and dogs.

I have a 1 bedroom apartment with a small yard that has public access. I live with my 3.5 year old male cat, but he is very tolerant of dogs! Pet friendly space for your furring friends to visit!

Everybody has a few boundaries here and there like the cats aren’t allowed on the countertops, or the table, but they have no problems sitting/lying on our laps and our necks on the back of the couch. Our dogs are allowed on my children’s beds. I personally prefer cuddles with them on the couch. BUT——YOUR home, YOUR rules. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Robbins. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
