About: I am a regular volunteer at the YOLO animal shelter and Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary. At home I take care of all of my exotic pets, I own a parakeet, cockatiel, bearded dragon, rat, and two fish tanks. I love my at home zoo and taking care of everybody, I'd love to share that joy with YOU! I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule to accommodate all YOUR pet's needs! Weekdays are very flexible where-as weekends need a couple days notice. I follow directions diligently and confidently. With all of my pet experiences your pet is sure to feel comfortable, safe and happy in my care.

About: Ived taken care and loved many dogs growing up I’m very experienced with dogs of any age, family and friends have replied on me to sit for their pets while away on trips At the moment I’m home all day morning and afternoon, once I’m back at work I will be mostly available afternoons and weekends but willing to make schedule changes I live in an apartment with a small fenced patio but will mostly be taking your fur baby out for walks and potty breaks, I currently do not have any other dogs or cats.

About: Hi there! I’m Mel. I’ve had dogs in my life for over 30 years — growing up with Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Border Collies, and Labs, and later caring for high-energy breeds like Huskies, Malamutes, Pit Bulls, and Dobermans as an adult. I’m comfortable with big dogs, strong pullers, and dogs who need real exercise, but I’m just as happy with a Chihuahua curled up on the couch. I spent 8 years as a nanny, so looking after something that depends on you completely isn’t new to me — it’s second nature. I offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. I don’t board dogs in my own home, since I have a resident cat (a very opinionated tabby mix), but I’m experienced with cats too, including Maine Coons and other long-haired breeds, if you need a sitter for feline friends as well. I’ve handled the less glamorous parts of the job without blinking: medication schedules, backyard cleanup, even a dog who met a skunk face-first. My standard for every visit is simple — when you get home, your house should look better than when you left it, and your dog should be fed, exercised, and ready to sleep well. I treat your home and your animal the way I’d want mine treated. I’m self-employed, so my schedule is flexible and mostly built around dog care. I’m generally available 8am–6pm on weekdays, with some days running later. In the summer heat, I keep an eye on pavement temperature and adjust walk times so it’s safe on paws — sometimes that means earlier or later in the day rather than midday. Weekends are available with advance scheduling. I’m also happy to do drop-in visits spaced out over the day or across longer periods if that suits your dog’s routine better than a single visit. Since I don’t board dogs in my own home — I have a resident cat — all my care happens in your space, on your dog’s normal turf, which tends to be less stressful for them than an unfamiliar house. I follow whatever routine you set: meals, meds, walks, exercise. I’m comfortable administering medication, cleaning up after accidents or messes, and handling anything that comes up — I’ve dealt with a dog getting skunked, dogs with high energy who need real exercise, and the everyday logistics of keeping a home running while you’re away. My rule for every visit: your house should look better than when you left it, and your dog should be fed, exercised, and settled by the time you get home.

About: I grew up with pets most of my life, and attended dog training classes with my mom starting at a young age. I have had my own pets the last 13 years (dogs, cat and bunny). I have trained and titled one of my dogs in AKC Rally and Waterworks ( something specific to my dogs breed), she is also a grand champion. I would be willing to help train puppies, even though I am not a certified trainer. I can also assist in training to loose leash walk, crate training, etc. Willing to do limited bathing and grooming for an additional fee, to be determined upon request, detailed request needed. I have been grooming my Portuguese water dogs most of my adult life, I have had to maintain a show quality coat. I'm not a professional groomer, but I know my way around clippers and scissors. I was recently laid off, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups. I am available pretty much anytime currently, weekdays and weekends. I treat all animals in my care as my own, with respect and love, whether they need a play buddy or just someone to cuddle, I try to give them what they need

About: I grew up around animals. I love having pets and have taken care of a lot of them growing up. I have had dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, fishes, chicks and more. I love spending time with all pets! Pet care is something I do everyday. In the mornings, I take my dogs out for a walk and then another walk free I get back from work. I clean out my cat’s litter weekly and clean their food and waters bowls everyday. When it comes to taking care of your pet, I have full availability this summer! I can work mornings, do drop-ins and house sits if needed. I have a large backyard that can be used for playtime and a large crate if needed. I also have different types of toys and treats for both cats and dogs. I have spare leashes if needed, and of course quality time with your fur babies! When walking your pets, I’ll make sure of having everything they need such as their leash, collar, shoes, and a small water bowl for hot days. If they go to the park, I’ll bring their toys and play with them until it’s time to go.

About: I’ve trained and cared for many dogs throughout my life, from agility training high energy puppies, to senior canine hospice. I’ve been a volunteer with the ASPCA since December of 2023 and have deployed to their cruelty recovery center in Ohio multiple times as a volunteer kennel technician. I currently work as a veterinary assistant at a small practice in Woodland, Ca I am currently working full time Tuesday-Friday 8am-5:30pm as a veterinary assistant, and Saturdays 8am to noon, so when I’m not at work, I love to spend my time giving your pet(s) the attention and structure that they deserve! I can stay overnight with your pet, or do daily check ins starting at 6 am. Any time I leave your pet unattended I can provide them with a safe form of enrichment to keep them busy.

About: Although I currently do not have a dog of my own, I have had dogs in my family since I was 8 years old and have learned that they can have the best and funniest personalities and I love making a dog feel welcome anywhere and that they always know that somebody cares for them the way they care for their owner. I’ve been pet sitting for over 3 years and currently have a cat so i know how to take care of them as well in case you have both cats and dogs! I’m currently attending Woodland Community College and am a associates graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Since I only go to school and am trying to work remotely, I’ll have plenty of time for your pets and most if not all afternoons of the week can walk them. I constantly make sure my pets are okay with what they’re eating, drinking, how they act, if it’s unusual or usual and take a pet’s physical and mental health very seriously as I’ve had to put down many of my family’s own dogs in the past when they became ill and know the emotional toll it can be for the owners.

About: I've grown up with all sorts of pets for as long as I can remember. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish. I have two cats of my own right now (two very spoiled babies). I'm typically free in the evenings Monday through Thursday and completely free on the weekends. But if needed for an emergency I can work from home Monday through Thursday to be there for your pet. I care for pets in the same way that I care for myself, with the upmost care. Dogs get walked at least twice a day, and plenty of love. Cats also get the same, and I have plenty of toys for both cats and dogs.

About: I have always had a passion for animals and it seems they’ve always been drawn to me! Growing up my mom owned a small pet sitting business. About: After a few years focused on other animal care work, I’m happy to be actively pet sitting again. I recently moved back to Lincoln, and I will begin offering pet care services again beginning August 2026. In addition to years of pet sitting and dog walking, I have worked professionally in many animal care settings, including veterinary, sanctuary, boarding, and rescue for the last seven years. These settings have taught me the importance of prioritizing safety, observation, consistency, and following detailed care protocols accurately. I have years of experience with fearful, anxious, and reactive dogs and understand that trust cannot be rushed. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, use their preferred treats or familiar cues, avoid known triggers, and give them the space or extra reassurance they need to feel comfortable. I also have a special interest in exotic and multi species pet care. I personally have two cats and a leopard gecko and have hands on experience and good foundational husbandry knowledge with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals. I’m open to caring for many species, and willing to learn any of their specific routine and husbandry requirements beforehand. One of my biggest priorities is following instructions carefully and accurately. I know small details can make a big difference, especially with medications, feeding routines, behavioral needs, enclosure care, or pets with specific safety precautions. I also understand how stressful it can be to leave your animals in someone else’s care. I provide regular photo updates and clear communication so you know how your pets are doing while you’re away. I work full time in animal care on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Saturdays. On those days, I’m available after work for walks, drop in visits, and overnight stays. I have more flexibility on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays and can often accommodate daytime care on those days as well. I plan my Rover bookings carefully so I can give each pet the time and attention they need. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s normal routine ahead of time and make sure their care schedule is something I can reliably accommodate. For overnight stays, I do my best to keep feeding, medications, walks, and bedtime routines as close to normal as possible. Safety is always my first priority. Before opening doors or gates, I make sure pets are safely secured, and I always double-check that collars, harnesses, leashes, and other gear fit properly before leaving the home. I follow household and care instructions closely, including feeding, medications, walking precautions, behavioral triggers, enclosure care, and any special routines your pet may have. I also pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, bathroom habits, or anything else that may be important to communicate to you. I currently only provide care in my clients’ homes, which also allows pets to stay in the environment and routine they already know.
