“We came from out of town looking for someone to take care of our Lab for the day while we visited the bourbon trail. We found Jessica. She was awesome and took great care of our dog. Our dog was completely comfortable and had a great time in her fenced yard. We highly recommend her ! We gave her 5 STARS! Thank you Jessica”

“Like cut always comes home happy and exhausted. When we pulled in the driveway yesterday, Lucy started barking and wagging her tail which I take as a sincere compliment”

“Listen, look no further on Rover! Sharon is it. My dog injured himself and needed a place for several days that was attentive to his needs because he couldn't run or jump and I didn't want him crated all day while I was at work. Sharon sent me videos, photos, progess updates, and my Bosey would get so excited when we pulled up to her house. Her home is so serene and calm. She has plenty of toys. He has recovered quicker than I anticipated. I soooo appreciate Sharon and the care and compassion that she had for my Bosey. I will be using her and anyone reading this review should too.”

“Stephen and Angela provided daycare for about 2 weeks for my pup. They took great care of him and were very understanding with schedule changes. I would recommend them!”

“Jared and Waverly were great with our dogs, and even managed to get my curmudgeon named skittles to positively interact with a couple older dogs! They were flexible and understanding of my changing schedule, as we were on a road trip and only needed help for a few hours. If I’m ever in Louisville with the doggos again I’d contact them straightaway”

About: I’ve always had a variety of dogs. Currently we have a long-haired dachshund named Roger and a mysterious mutt named Ed. Roger loves new friends and Ed is happy to sleep next to them. We adopted them as senior dogs. We have a fenced yard and six chickens. My husband Phillip and I look forward to taking care of your dogs. He works from home several days a week so will be available for frequent walks, and if he has to go into the office, I will come home at lunch for a walk. We have a good sized fenced yard for play time, and we live a couple blocks from a dog park so there are plenty of opportunities for outside time. We like to take the dogs on several walks a day. If you have a big dog who likes to run, we can go for runs too. We also have two small-dog crates if your dog likes crate time.
About: My family pets have been my primary pet care since I was little girl, and I truly adore every furry friend that I am fortunate to meet. I grew up with three cats and four dogs, and I love furry friends of all types. Friends and family have trusted me to take excellent care of their pets for several years. I am also familiar with different pet personalities and older pet needs. I got my first dog, Calumet, this summer and have had a great time training him (and getting lots of snuggles). We would love to help you with your furry loved ones during my free time, while giving them the extra love they deserve. Taking care of pets has been a part of my routine for several years, and having Cal makes it part of my normal routine. I work mostly from home, so my schedule is flexible. I am an active person who loves to spend time outdoors. My home as a yard and there several walking paths nearby where I can take your pet for a walk or to play. I can also accommodate any needs you would prefer in your own home.
“They were amazing with Boseman and were incredibly responsive. I appreciate them for taking Bosey in at the last minute. He was living his best life. They had treats and enrichment activities. He came home tired! Will use again”

“Leslie was so wonderful with my wilson! She sent lots of pictures, even took him to a park when it was nice out. She followed the directions for feeding and gave him lots of snuggles ❤️”

“Sarah and family greeted Lucy at the door. She happily ran off following the kids for a fun evening! She loves kids! Sarah was easy to work with our uncertain time frame! E McCoy and Lucy”

“Jemaya was the best. She cared for my mini Aussie wonderfully. She was a great communicator/ sent several updates and pictures during 6 hr span. Will contact Jemaya for any future pet needs. Highly recommend her.”

“Daniela was very responsive for our last minute request for daycare on Thanksgiving day. Really helped us out / saved our plans! Our pup seemed very happy. Daniela was very responsive with no delays around pick up or drop off.”

“Cassie took good care of Perro. She kept me updated with pictures and text's which made our first experience with Rover less stressful. Perro enjoyed playing outside in her fenced-in yard.”

About: Dogs have been a constant part of my life. I grew up with dogs, currently have two of my own, and regularly pet sit for friends, family, and clients—so caring for dogs in different personalities, ages, and energy levels feels second nature to me. I understand how important routine is for dogs, especially when they’re away from their people. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual—whether they’re high-energy and playful or more laid-back and cuddly. My goal is always to provide a calm, loving environment where your dog feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. You can expect clear communication, thoughtful care, and plenty of updates so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I can work with you to make sure that I can meet your needs and be upfront if I can't. I have two dogs. I have a 5 foot chain link fence, with a gate that locks. I also have security cameras that can be monitored. I am usually home, and gone for short times only. I let my dogs go in and out as they need, and your pup will get the same flexibility!
“Kaitlan is very professional and communicated with me by text promptly every time. We are in a motorhome and use Rover to find out of town pet sitters so we can find a safe place for my pups to stay during the day while we tour different areas. She was great.”

“Leah would offer very comfortable vibe to my dog while she was staying at her house. When my dog was playing at the backyard in Leah’s house, she sent me the picture taken that my dog was chasing squirrels. Looks like she wants to visit again since she was naturally heading to Leah’s house, while we were walking. I’ll probably ask again Leah to take care of my dog!”

About: I’ve had pugs for over a decade and a French bulldog briefly. I’ve sat for my friends and cousins corgis, golden retrievers and Boston terriers. Love the snores, the drools, and cuddling with them. Dogs are always welcome on my furniture and in the bed. I enjoy pampering them with belly rubs, butt scratches, massages and just goofing around with them. I work different jobs and at times have flexible schedule. Also I work close to my home so it’s easy for me to come home and check on the guest doggies at home if needed. I stay in a condo building and I can walk them (on leash) around the condo. My condo complex has a nice walking path for dog walks and it is a fairly quiet with very little traffic. Plenty of green space around. I have a small fenced in private yard too.
Riverwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
Barbara took great care of Lola for us! I had a last minute trip into town to visit a sick friend. July 4th weekend so finding any of my usual dog sitters was not an option. Used Rover for the first time and Barbara did a great job with Lola. Received pictures and had great communication through the sitting. I absolutely would use Barbara again!
