“Katie was amazing right from the initial meet and greet! She knew all the right questions to ask and things to say and made me feel really confident in leaving Scout. This was my first time using a sitter and this app, but I can't recommend her enough! Super communicative and knowledgeable. Will definitely be using her again for any trips. Thank you so much Katie!!”

“Jamilla was incredible. We left for 10 days and she came in and treated our pets like family. She was very quick with responses and I can tell how much she genuinely cares about our animals...and they loved her too! Thank you so much Jamilla. I can't recommend her enough and I will be using her again.”

“I cannot recommend Patrick D. enough! From the moment we first connected, he was professional, kind, and clearly passionate about animals. He took care of my dogs as if they were his own — sending regular updates, photos, and even little notes about how the day went, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. Kevin and William absolutely adored HIM (which says a lot, because they're usually a bit shy with new people). When I came home, everything was spotless, my pets were happy, and their routine had been perfectly followed. Patrick went above and beyond in every way. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring, look no further. I will absolutely be booking with him again!”

“Mandy was AMAZING!!! She was very flexible to come help us on short notice. She took our dog on great walks, and stayed over to play fetch with her. She also takes amazing photos! We will definitely be using Mandy again in the future”

About: I grew up surrounded by pets my entire life- mostly cats and dogs, but we also had fish, turtles, tortoises, gerbils, and even a few ferrets at one point! I know how much pets are our family and strive to provide the best care for yours. I've dog/cat sat for family and friends for years now and have become known as everyone's go-to pet sitter. I have extended out to some family friends and acquaintances as well and just really enjoy spending time with pets! My longest clients have had 4 different boxers in the 11 years I've been sitting for them. Their elderly boxer passed away earlier this year, and I was responsible for giving him medications including oral chemo for the last few years of his life. Additionally, my cat passed away a few years ago at almost 22 years old- she was on a steady medication since she was 16, as well as some other prescriptions throughout the years. Therefore I am comfortable with senior pets, giving meds, etc. Thank you for the opportunity to love on your pets when you cannot be home. I am always happy to do pre-booking meet and greets as well. I live in San Marco, and currently work full time Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm in the downtown area. Therefore I'm mostly available evenings and weekends at this time. However, I am available for overnights during the weekdays as I do have some flexibility in my schedule and if it's not too far from downtown, as I could go by your home for a mid day potty break/quick walk. This would probably work best for cats, or for dogs who can make it 4ish hours without needing a potty break. Could discuss further if interested! I'm very attentive and will make sure your pets are safe at home and/or on walks. I love to hang out and spend time with pets, especially since I currently don't have any of my own! I have a lot of experience with senior pets as well, and am comfortable giving medications.
About: My experience includes 20+ years of pet ownership, 10+ years of dog walking on a part time basis in the Riverside/Avondale area. We can walk at a fast pace, if requested by your dog. Or we can lazily meander our way around the neighborhood. We can also play games like fetch, tug, hide and seek, etc., and practice basic obedience with rewards like treats or play. I have a long leash we can use as well if requested, which I find is a nice way to allow the dogs to explore more freely in less busy areas like parks or backstreets. At the moment I am doing a few different types of gig work, so my schedule is flexible and I may be able to accept bookings with very short notice. When walking dogs, I usually attach their leash to my body using a hands free leash mechanism as an extra safety measure and to allow myself to walk more easily at a faster pace, if the dog is up for that. Generally, I will maintain a safe distance from other dogs (and cats) walking around to be sure that no incidences occur. Except to send you updates, I will not use my phone while with your dog. My attention will remain on your dog and the walk. Otherwise, it is important for me that I am patient and gentle with all dogs in my care and that I do not make them feel uneasy or anxious on our walk.
“Amber did a great job taking care of my cats! She followed every instruction. One of my cats has digestive issues so feeding was more involved than just opening a can of food. Amber went above and beyond my expectations and I would highly recommend her to everyone!”

“Meridith is a treasure! She was a last minute booking for a holiday and we were so fortunate to find her. She was dependable, friendly and spent quality time with my boy. Thank you so much Meridith!”

“Kristie is awesome! She followed all the instructions I left, took great care of my shy little cat, and even kept me updated with friendly messages. I felt super confident leaving Mia in her care and would absolutely trust her again!”

“Kenneth gave my pup plenty of love, cleaned up after an unfortunate accident (Puppyhood! Gotta love it), and sent lots of cute photos to make us feel comfortable. He took great care of her during his multiple visits today and he shows great care and love for other’s animals!”

About: My day job is as a wildlife biologist, and I have worked with everything from Japanese giant salamanders to gopher tortoises. I have watched pets for neighbors and friends for years and love dogs especially! I am free in evenings (5pm or later) and weekends pretty consistently (I work full time as a wildlife biologist during the day). Happy with long or short walks, even on hot days. I don't have any pets at home right now, but I am comfortable with a wide variety of animals. I am skilled at reading animal body language and always strive to make pets feel safe.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs most of my life and have lived with multiple cat owners as well. I feel like pets like my calm and loving demeanor 😊 I enjoy the flexibility this profession allows and I love the outdoors. If your pet wants a long walk in the sun or just needs to stretch its legs in the backyard I’m down for either! 😁 I feel as though my laid back demeanor is great for working with animals and even the pickiest cats have fallen for me. I’m great at reading the body language of animals and know when they want a belly rub or when they want me to sit six feet away.
“Mandy was so helpful and took great care of our pup over the holiday weekend. She was an excellent communicator and knew how to handle our nervous girl well. We will be booking again with Mandy”

“Erika is calm, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. She has been coming to my house to do midday drop ins for my two sighthounds. They are usually reserved around new people, but Erika won them over right away. Highly recommend!”

“Steven did a great job communicating with me before, after and during the visit. He was very patient with my old boy,Domino giving me great peace of mind. Will definitely book Steven again when the need arises.”

I could not be happier with hiring Amber as my cat sitter. She is always on time, is a great communicator, and always does excellent work caring for my cats. I have never worried for a second about the welfare of my cats when I am out of town, knowing that Amber will do her best and give me daily updates. Highly recommended!

Ashley did an amazing job caring for my senior cat while I was out of town! She provided excellent communication, sent updates, and clearly showed genuine affection and care for my cat. The entire experience was easy and completely stress-free! I will absolutely trust Ashley with my cat again in the future, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

This turned out to be the best service ever. Erika was amazing and I hope she'll become a regular for Scout. I unintentionally became the sole responsible human to a neighbors cat. I believe she's now needing a permanent home. I hadn't planned for this as we are retired and plan to travel. Finally true empty nesters. We kept Scout inside for our first trip with no clue how she'd do, but daily visits were perfect. We have decided to keep Scout. ☺️

So glad I found Katie to watch my girl for a last minute sitter. After an initial meet and greet, I felt confident that my dog would be in good hands. I received lots of feedback and cute pictures/video of my dog during Katie’s visit, which I loved. I would definitely book again; thanks Katie!

Miss Mandy is by far amazing. She goes above and beyond in everything she does for the dogs. She truly does treat them like they are her own pups. My three babies absolutely love her, especially my big boy! I work long hours and because of her I finally have a peace of mind. Thank you for all you do.💙
