“We couldn't be happier with Deana as our in home dog sitter! We hired her for a week and she took great care of our two doggos. She was very conscientious of their needs and asked great questions during her meet and greet. She took care of our home and did everything we asked and more! We definitely recommend her and hope we can hire her again!”

“Carolyn was fantastic! She loved on my dog so well and I felt completely comfortable leaving her in Carolyn's care. She was prompt with the timing of her visit and was quick with her communication. She played with Jeans the whole weekend. And to top it off, we came home to a clean house and even clean sheets! I will definitely book with Carolyn again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.”

About: My family dog passed away in 2024, since then I’ve filled my doggy-shaped hole by volunteering at Coco’s Heart (dog rescue) and house/dog sitting for families in my area. I work from home, so I’m able to give your animals their much-deserved attention throughout the day! My experience ranges from young puppies just brought to rescue, teenage dogs, to senior dogs, all needing special attention in their own ways. I am punctual with medications, meals and bathroom breaks. I currently work from home, and while house sitting am able to provide around the clock care. For walks or part-time, my schedule may vary slightly. Maintaining and respecting my client’s home is of upmost importance when caring for pets. Keeping not only their environment clean and safe, but the owners as well is important to what I offer. Whether it’s expected or not, I will leave the place the same, if not better than you left it. I strive for frequent communication and avoid outside environments that may stress pets out.

I bring facility-level safety standards, reliable routines, and absolute dedication straight to your home. I am currently working part-time during the summer, so my schedule varies. This allows me to be highly flexible and available for midday walks and in-home pet sitting! I am dedicated to keeping your dog's daily schedule intact by providing reliable bathroom breaks, feedings, structured exercise, and plenty of focused attention and cuddles. With my extensive experience working with dogs, I bring professional level safety standards straight into your home. I am trained in reading subtle canine body language, managing environmental triggers on walks, and keeping environments secure and happy for your pup. Your home will be treated with absolute respect, your dog will receive attentive care, structured routines, and plenty of love, and you will receive frequent updates to give you complete peace of mind.
About: I’ve been dog sitting for neighborhood families since I was 10. I have walked dogs, fed and gave medication, spent time playing, and sometimes did grooming. I’m currently an enrolled as a full time college student but I will always make time for all the pups that are in my care! I’m very good at following the directions of the owners so that their pet is always safe and comfortable. I would never do something for the pet without permission of the owners. I am good with open communication with owners.
“Rachel was fantastic with our two cats and our one-year-old puppy! This was the first time that we left our dog overnight and it was for 9 nights. Rachel stayed in our house and made sure that our pets (and house!) were well taken care of. She was fantastic at communicating with us and set lots, and lots of pictures of our babies :) She even cleaned the fridge and bought a treat for our kids to give our dog when we returned! We will definitely be using Rachel again when we can't bring our pets with us.”

“Madyson was awesome! She was very communicative and made us feel very comfortable that our pup was being well taken care of. Plus Madyson is a very sweet person! Our dog was very calm when we got home which she usually isn’t that way. 10 out of 10 and we are picky!!!”

“Jessica was wonderful with our two dogs. She was very communicative and made me feel comfortable that my dogs were well taken care of. This made it so easy to just focus on enjoying our vacation!”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was young. I would do drop in visits for some of my neighbors so I know how to feed, play and do potty breaks. I work full-time but am off most Tuesdays. I get off work at 2 pm so I can do drop in visits or maybe walking. I have two cats and a dog who are well fed and kept clean. I can walk and play with your dog and give lots of love to the cats.
“Natasha was the right person to take care of our house, garden and OLD pets!! She took extraordinary care of our house and gardens. Our refrigerator has not been that clean since it was new!! Our vegetable garden was producing way too many cucumbers and zucchini and she helped to get them distributed. But the most important items that needed care are our elderly pets. They need extra care. We were concerned about leaving our old dog with someone who would be able to manage helping her get up and down stairs and outside. She also has plenty of meds. Our pets were well taken care of. We came home to a clean house and well taken care of pets. That is worth a lot to us. The daily reports and the pictures were important for us.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - River Falls
Deana was absolutely phenomenal, and I would and will be recommending her to anyone ever looking for a pet sitter. From the get go she was very understanding of my dog's behavior, asked all the right questions to understand even better, and was clearly experienced in handling both anxiety and reactivity. She was very professional and my dog, who is very picky and choosey, got along with her wonderfully. Would**absolutely** book again.

Amazing!! That’s all there is to say. We’ve gone thru a few different dog sitters recently due to life changes and we are so impressed by Eliza! She truly takes care of your dog like it’s her own. We were gone for two weeks and had not used her so was a little nervous but she was great! We will be reaching out again!

Madyson was awesome! She was very communicative and made us feel very comfortable that our pup was being well taken care of. Plus Madyson is a very sweet person! Our dog was very calm when we got home which she usually isn’t that way. 10 out of 10 and we are picky!!!

Kristina and her Fiancée were awesome! Our puppies were very well taken care of. We have four and they use tracking collars and they were not intimidated by the GPS system. They were prompt and communication was excellent. They were very neat and tidy as well with the house. Would definitely book again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred River Falls walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in River Falls maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in River Falls choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
