About: Hi! My name is Jennifer, and I am a local high school teacher enjoying summer break and looking to spend my extra time caring for animals. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I currently care for three dogs, two cats, a rabbit, and a blue tongue skink, and I have experience with many other types of pets as well. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I currently care for three dogs, two cats, a rabbit, a snake, and a blue tongue skink, so feeding, exercise, cleaning, and spending quality time with animals are part of every day. During the summer, I have a very flexible schedule as a teacher on break, which allows me to provide visits throughout the day, walks, feeding, playtime, and overnight care. During the school year, I continue offering pet care services, but I am unavailable during the school day while teaching. However, I am available before and after school, evenings, weekends, holidays, and for overnight stays. I enjoy staying active with my own dogs through activities like agility, scent work, Fast CAT, and dock diving, so caring for pets fits naturally into my lifestyle. I understand how important routines are for animals and will work to keep your pet's schedule as consistent as possible while you're away. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay on their normal routine. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow all instructions carefully regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, exercise, and household routines. I take time to get to know each pet's personality and comfort level so they feel safe and relaxed while their family is away. Safety is always a priority. I make sure doors, gates, and crates are secure, keep pets on leash during walks unless otherwise instructed in a safe enclosed area, and closely monitor their behavior and well-being. I am comfortable caring for multiple pets and have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, and other small animals. I also know how important communication is for pet owners. I provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are being well cared for while you're away. Melanie arranged a visit for a meet and it was obvious that she could handle Ace even though his 80 pounds was very excited when they met. No issues. I would recommend Melanie”

About: I have been around animals for as long as I can remember, beginning with cats in early childhood. At the age of seven, I got my first dog, which further strengthened my passion for animal care. I later worked at a kennel, where I received hands-on experience and training in many aspects of pet care, including recognizing behavioral cues to better understand animals’ emotions and needs. During my time there, I learned how to administer medications and injections, including insulin for diabetic animals and supplements for those requiring daily care. I also gained experience working with handicapped dogs, including tripod and wheelchair-assisted dogs, as well as animals of various ages. In addition to my professional experience, I personally cared for my own senior dog, which provided me with extensive knowledge and understanding of senior pet care I am currently unemployed, so I am able to take anytime of the day for the next possible two weeks or so. Once I find a job, I will have more strict, set hours that line up with my new job. I have kennel experience which has provided me the training needed to take care of people's fur children while they are away. I also have experience with reactive dogs, as I worked with several of them while working at the kennel, and grew up with one of my own.

About: Had pets my whole life. I walk all the time and know where to take them and have an SUV with enough room to fit them in. Have 2 children who adore all animals. I have a full time job, Tuesday through Saturday, but I’m usually home around 2-4 pm. I’m available every evening and can stop to let them out during the day because of my job flexibility. I love both ends of the spectrum. I love being active and taking dogs for walk/runs. I also love relaxing and cuddling with them and getting to know what their preferences. Will follow all strict diet rules and keep a very clean house to avoid unwanted eating restrictions.

About: I have grown up having dogs in my life, as well as the luxury of being able to watch friends and families pets over the past 3 years. I have experience with not only dogs, but cats as well. I'm also experienced with watching multiple dogs at the same time. Because I work from home, I'm able to work anywhere, which has always come in handy. Currently I'm not able to have dogs of my own, because of my apartment, but the goal is to find a place that will allow me to have my own fur baby. I currently work remotely, so I have the flexibility to have my schedule work around what's best for you and your pets! So your pets will get the love and attention they deserve! I don't want any pet to feel anxious while their owner is away, so I make sure to take the time to best understand the needs of each client, so I can make sure the transition goes smoothly.

“Akaycia was absolutely amazing! She came over to meet Tenchi (my dog) before we left on vacation and my dog instantly loved her. She came over and hung out with her, took her for walks each time (she did this on her own) reported exactly how she was doing, potty breaks, and I also got lots of great pictures! I’ve never been away from my dog who is 10 before and she made me feel comfortable and kept in contact so I knew she was doing well. I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation.
