“Manasa is the best dog sitter ever! She is super great with our dog and very communicative and responsible. I don’t know what we’d do without her!”

About: Hello guys! My name is Amanda and I am a 24 year old student with another Part Time job. I grew up in Mexico and have been caring for domestic and farm animals my entire life. I also have a lot of veterinary assistant experience as well as working for an animal ER for 2 years. I am comfortable caring for pets that require a bit more care, such as senior pets, leash reactive pets, anxious pets, large/giant pets, special needs pets, High energy pets, service animals, animals in hospice, and pets that require daily medication such as oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, and transdermal medication. I also love caring for smaller critters like birds, guinea pigs, snakes, hedgehogs, rats, sugar gliders and many more animals! Feel free to message me with any questions :) I am currently working part time as a server and also in college, my schedule does vary but I am always home on Wednesdays and Thursdays. When I do work its usually 3-4 days a week (including weekends) from 4 or 5pm - 10 or 11pm. For boarding I can really only take care of dogs Wednesday and Thursday since those are the only 2 days I am home all day. For cats and other animals I can take boarding requests all week and weekends. For walks/ drop in visits I can do any days before 3pm! I live in a 700 square foot 1 bedroom apartment in a very quiet neighborhood, I can provide a tranquil, stress free environment for your fur babies. I recently lost my dog that I had for 10 years so I do not have any other pets in my home.

“Suryasree is great with our Doberman. Cardi can get very anxious at times but she felt at ease with Suryasree. We were kept up to date with the added luxury of photos and videos. Highly recommend. We have used her twice now.”

“Carey is a complete professional and so reliable. I would trust her with my dog any day. Thank you Carey, for your flexibility and expertise. So grateful for your help as I journey with a dog recently diagnosed with diabetes.”

“Amy was so wonderful to work with, flexible, great communication. Will definitely be booking again next time we need someone to watch our cat! Thank you!”

“Claire is so amazing! She took such great care of my diabetic cat. Reptar loved her so much and we will definitely be coming back for her services”

“A friend recommended Leanne, and I'm so glad she did! Leanne was able to meet my dogs before the date I had requested her to drop in to feed them and let them out for awhile. We had a lovely chat about each of the dogs. During the two visits she made to check on my dogs, she sent notes and lots of pictures that I viewed on the Rover app. I was able to enjoy my day visiting my son without worrying about the dogs.”

“Madison was wonderful with my two senior dogs. She was prompt and followed instructions for feeding and medications superbly. I could not be happier. Madison took the time to update me and take photos of the dogs with every visit. 10/10 recommendation! Thanks, Madison!”

“Jules is great! My cat can be shy or indifferent with strangers but got along really well with Jules. Beyond that, Jules is a good communicator and dependable. I know my cat is in good hands with her!”

About: I’ve taken care of the family corgi, Lucky, for 11 years now and have petsit for neighbor’s dogs, cats, and bunnies in the past. In addition to petsitting, throughout high school I was involved in a 4-H dog training club, where Lucky and I trained together, learning tricks and agility from certified trainers and earning AKC trick titles certifications. We got a Lucky as a puppy, so I have experience with younger dogs as well. I’m currently a college student at JMU and am on summer break until August 16th, so my schedule is pretty open. I’m unavailable on Sunday mornings (8:30am-12pm) but otherwise have plenty of free time during the rest of the week and can do visits or walking after 12:30pm on Sundays. I’m happy to accommodate whatever needs you and your pet have for care in your home. In the past, I’ve made multiple visits a day to owners homes to feed, walk, play with, and generally just check on and spend time with the animals. I have experience walking, feeding, playing indoors and outdoors, and cleaning up after dogs. I’m unable to board dogs at my house because of my own dog, but am definitely willing to care for them in their own home.

“Tool care of my dogs on short notice. I would use Shawn again.”

“Sam was wonderful in communicating with us before, during and after! Easy to talk to, is a natural problem solver and was great with our (scaredy) cats! Would love to have her back again!”

“Lauren did a great job with both of my Labs! She even went the extra mile to check on them at night after some bad weather hit the area. I would highly recommend Lauren to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pups.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats and have been walking friends and family dogs since I was 10, this has been a part time job for me for 5 years now. I’ve experienced anything from small to large dogs, dogs that have experienced trauma and are scared of others, and giving pets medication. I am available to petsit anytime before 5pm. From Saturday to Thursday since I work part-time right now. Since it is the summer I’m free all day before 5pm! Through my years of pet sitting for friends, family, and acquaintances, it has been combined with tasks such as bringing in the mail, feeding pets that require less care like fish, and letting cleaners into the house as needed.

“grace did great again! so glad she was available to watch wallenby! I will miss her over the summer!”

“Keila did such a wonderful job with our 95 lb jumpy/excited boxer the first time she watched him, we immediately booked her again for our next longer trip (10 days!) and am so glad we did. We felt really comfortable with her already, but every visit she did she sent photos and typically added funny notes and that made it even better. She spent a lot of time with him for drop ins and clearly gave him plenty of exercise. We will reach out to Keila and pray she’s available for all our future needs! Highly recommend.”

About: Though Kate and I don't have any pets, we have experience pet sitting for our family and friends. Kate and I also grew up with many pets, so we have experience caring for animals. Kate and I both work remotely from our apartment in Reston, allowing us to provide attentive, full-day care for your pets. We’ll ensure they are well cared for and enjoy plenty of walks and attention throughout the day. We live in a safe apartment complex, and since we work remotely from home all day, your pets will always be in our sight. We also understand the importance of following the pet owner's protocols and instructions, ensuring your pet's care is tailored to their needs and your preferences.

“Kelly took incredible care of our cats. She’s very communicative and shares lots of photos. Gave us peace of mind while we were away. Will work with Kelly again!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive experience of over 15 years in caring for dogs, alongside my commitment to their physical activity and nutritional well-being. I engage dogs in a variety of activities, such as hiking, backyard playtime, ensuring they are not only physically active but mentally stimulated. During inclement weather, I have numerous dog toys at home to keep them entertained and active indoors. Moreover, I have skills in administering medications such as pills and ear solutions, a requirement that may arise in caring for senior dogs or those with medical conditions. Perhaps what distinguishes me the most is my passion for making healthy dog treats from scratch. I firmly believe in providing dogs with nutritious and healthier food options, and this homemade approach is a testament to that. Additionally, I offer a beautiful, spacious home environment, surrounded by woods and walking trails, providing dogs with an extensive area for exploration and play. My approach to pet care combines both love and professional skills, ensuring your dog would be in the best possible hands. I currently work hybrid and very flexible with timings either late night or early morningsI So I have plenty of time to play with your pup! I also have two gorgeous English cream retriever dogs named Misty (6yrs) and Maya (2yrs) that are super duper calm, playful and very well behaved! I never leave pets un-attended even if it's fenced to make sure they are ok. My home has a beautiful walking trail right behind my backyard! I always make sure their water bowl is full and pay attention to the toys/chewables they put in their mouth so I can act quick in case they choke. If they feel sick, I keep them next to me all the time and they go on my office bed when I'm at work and totally open to taking the pet to the recommended veterinarian if needed and will be in communication with the owner at all times, I wouldn't mind being away from my work for few hours! I’d prefer all communications to be through Rover only and not exchange personal numbers/emails.

“Lauren was a fantastic pet sitter with my 2 cats, she gave me the most adorable daily photos and pampered my boys with playtime and brushings. I will definitely request her when I need a sitter again. 5 stars would highly recommend!”
