“Tia did a wonderful job taking care of our kitties while we were out of town! She kept us up to date with pictures and notes. We'd be happy to use her again in the future!”

About: I’ve had Basset Hounds since I was a little girl, I’ve rescued and cared for a Labradoodle and I currently have two cats of my own. I am experienced in getting pets to take their meds, ear cleaning, nail trimming, brushing/deshedding and dog walking I am currently looking for either a part time or full time job so I am available to check on your pets at any time! I can easily check in on your fur babies multiple times a day for feedings, bathroom breaks, walkies or playtime. I will not do overnight stays as my own kitty cats need me then.
“Grant was absolutely amazing with our dog when we had to leave town suddenly for a death in the family. He responded very quickly and checked to make sure we made it home and if we didn’t to see if we needed him to go back out to let him out. We were very satisfied with his services. I highly recommend him for his care for the dog and his dog knowledge.”

About: I have taken care of many animals not just dogs or cats for people needing a sitter or walker. I take pet care and happiness very important as our pets are a reflection of ourselves, and a happy pet makes an owner smile. I am currently not working, so your pets needs are my priority. I have no impedance on my schedule and I have a reliable way to get around. I've had a bearded dragon for almost 8 years and my very excitable puppy for nearly 3 years. It's been a wild ride through out the years but I think they are very happy and satisfied!
About: I’ve always loved animals, especially dogs and cats. I grew up with two golden retrievers, and after they passed, my family naturally became the neighborhood pet sitters. I spent so much of my childhood around all kinds of pets that it honestly feels like I grew up right alongside them. When my family got another golden retriever puppy, I was the one who took on most of her training. Working with her taught me patience, consistency, and how to build real trust with a young dog. I’m comfortable with basic commands, routines, and helping puppies build good habits. Being around animals genuinely lifts my mood. I’m definitely that person who stops in the street to ask if I can pet someone’s dog. I also care for two cats regularly—one at my workplace and one that belongs to my roommate—so I’m very used to daily cat routines, feeding, cleaning, and giving them attention on their terms. Caring for animals just feels like second nature to me. I always make sure pets get the attention, affection, and exercise they need, and I really do treat every animal like they’re my own. I especially love being able to give dogs company during the day when they’d otherwise be alone. It means a lot to me to be that comforting, familiar person they look forward to seeing. I’m excited to meet new families and make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved every time they’re with me. I’m looking to get out of my desk job and start dog walking full time. I love being outside and i am a total dog lover. I need the customers, so please let me be your dog’s new best friend! I am a very respectful person all around. I’ll easily respect your things and space. I will be tidy and leave how I came! I’m hoping when we meet in person, you can tell the kind of person I am. I’m quite an open book. Just a fun, bubbly, outdoorsy and dog lovin girl!
About: I have worked with pups and kittys since I was little, I have done puppy training all the way to taking care of senior pets. I have had much practice over the years with all of my own furry family members and now to having a few solid clients I service on a regular basis before even joining Rover. So I love taking care of folks furry family members including my own Doberman and my sisters cat while she's gone away at college. However I work for the government Tuesday - Saturday 10:30 a.m.-7p.m. so I can be there during the mornings and I can take care of them as soon as I get off work in the evenings for feedings, potty breaks, walks, etc. Unfortunately, I more than likely will not be able to do midday potty breaks so if you're someone who works from home and let's them out frequently it probably will not work out. But if they're used to being in during the day already from work schedules then it should be a perfect fit! I take care of my Doberman pup through trainings with positive reinforcement via toys and treats. I feed him every morning and evening, taking him on walks out in the woods and letting him run wild in our big back yard.
About: Neighborhood pet sitter in Bettendorf, IA. Experience with dogs and cats, young and old, and varying breeds. Able to give medication & other accommodations Also experienced cat owner / sitter. Have worked with some fish and other small animals. I work full time 8-4:30 with an hour lunch break. Happy to stop by during that time as well as before and after work. Weekend availability varies, but I’m relatively open. I usually stay in-home, but I have had dogs stay with me. I will let the owners tell me the dog’s routine, and I adjust accordingly. Dogs with higher energy have different needs than elderly dogs, so I try to be sensitive to that. Potty breaks and walks are usually slated into my plan of care, but always open to hear special requests.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
