“Literally the best pet sitter on the planet. We so appreciate all the updates as we are away on an extended trip out of the country. We have never left our fur babies before. Tia brings such relief with her amazing care and fun pics. I can tell, by the way my Min Pin is in the pictures that she adores Tia. She typically doesn’t like anyone. We appreciate you Tia!”

“She took really good care of my adult cat and 7 month old kitten. Both cats were properly feed and comfortable. She was flexible to last minute scheduling and arrangement modifications. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Dana did and excellent job doing drop in visits for our two cats. We’ve booked her twice for our cats and have been happy both times. Shes punctual, sends pictures/updates, and everything was clean and well taken care of when we came home. We will definitely continue to use her to care for our cats in the future.”

“Courtney is great! My dogs love her and we have already booked her for more drop in visits next month. She is communicative, timely, and great with rowdy dogs. She followed all of our instructions perfectly. Thanks Courtney!”

I’ll treat your pet like they’re part of my own family—with plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. 🐶❤️ Evenings & Weekends Filled With Pets 🐾 I currently work full-time as an Assistant Manager, so I’m looking to spend my evenings and weekends doing something I truly love—caring for animals! “I would just like to say that Erica did a fantastic job caring for our two dogs while we were away for a weekend trip out of town. I was very impressed at how thorough and punctual Erica was for the drop in visits that she provided. The care notes, and pictures documenting each visit were very reassuring. I feel that Erica cared for our dogs as if they were her own. I will not hesitate to contact her again whenever we need someone to care for our dogs.”

About: Having grown up around everything from hedgehogs to mastiffs and either helped or been responsible for their care, I have a lot of practice in many areas of pet caregiving. I have studied dog and cat behavior in particular, and though my specialty is with cats, I am very well-versed in dog communication as well. I also have experience medicating ill or disabled animals in a way that limits stress and maintains a healthy relationship. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so I can shape my schedule to what's best for your pet. My ideal pairing is with night owls like myself, as I tend to sleep in and stay up late. If you're planning a date night, or if you work late and can't check on them, I can fill in those gaps. I believe that a safe and low-stress environment is best accomplished by knowing who I'm working with. If your pet is skittish around new people, I will move calmly and avoid eye contact or unprompted touch. If they want a playmate for when their people are away, I can be exciting and fun! If I need to do anything that may be stressful to your pet, such as bathing them, correcting behavior, or medicating them, I will take extra time to sit with them and let them hear my voice in a nonthreatening context, to bring the relationship back to something more trusting. I do not wear strong scents or talk loudly, and if play gets too out of hand, I know how to calmly but firmly redirect into more acceptable behaviors.

On a weekly basis, I also handle tasks like grooming, cleaning up after pets, and giving them extra attention to make sure they’re happy and healthy.” In my home, I provide a safe and comfortable environment where pets can relax, play, and follow their normal routines. I make sure they have fresh food and water, regular walks, playtime, and lots of attention. In a client’s home, I follow their specific instructions to keep pets on their usual schedule. This can include feeding, walking, litter box cleaning, administering medication if needed, and giving plenty of love and companionship so pets feel secure even while their owners are away.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
